Looks like most are now using ranged combat, except for Rick. If Lloyd can fire at the pirates without hitting Rick or Vigg, Lloyd will fire a burst at Pirate 2and 3. I would include 1 if Rick and Blurble are out of the line of fire.

PbP Lloyd burst fire (10 rounds) at P2 and P3. [1d100] = 20, Lloyd’s to hit is increased by +20 for the burst.

At this range, Lloyd should hit with a burst on a 59 or less.

Rick is very concerned that a pirate has gotten up to the laser and attempts to follow him up.

DEX 60: [1d100] = 22

Hopefully that means he made it up and can attack.

Rick will attack the miner trying to use the heavy laser with martial arts (needs a 46 or less to hit)

He starts with a round kick: [1d100] = 8 - and hits for 5 damage.
Then a backhand: [1d100] = 37 - also a hit for 5 damage.

Okay, Rick will carry it. He is somewhat leery of it but likes the idea of learning how to blow things up with it so will eventually learn.

There are no critical failures in SF, as written. There are some automatic failures, I believe, but they're just like any other failure.

Pirate 1 Punches at Rick Pirate 1 melee [1d100] = 77 Miss
Pirate 2 tries to light Lloyd up Pirate 2 shot [1d100] = 100 Missed it by that much!

Pirate 3 throws frag at Lloyd Frag throw [1d100] = 7
Damage roll Frag damage [8d10] = 51
Lloyd needs to make a reaction speed check

My mistake earlier, the burst damage modifier was:

Excess damage from turn 1 burst: [1d10] = 7+[1d10] = 4

Add this to the previous 33 and divide by 2 (22 each P2 and P3)

Frag damage is reduced by the civilian skeinsuit correct?

Lloyd will take 13 points of damage instead (1/2 from successful RS check and 1/2 from your suit)

Rick shouts out over the fading sound of the explosion, "You guys be okay down there?" Even as he speaks however, he continues attacking the miner, thankful that he prevented him from reaching the heavy laser.

Sidekick [1d100] = 88 is a miss
Straight punch [1d100] = 32 is a hit for 5 damage

The crack of his own gunfire and the dull whumping sound of the grenade detonating almost overwhelmed the noise filters on his hearing protection. The Sykorian bat that P2 hit with his wild laser shot falls dead nearby. He will try to use the car as partial cover. In his turn Lloyd snaps three shots at P2.

Lloyd to hit is 39.
