Niphon

Niphon will stay well back holding a torch. He'll keep an eye on the ceiling and the back of the party to make sure they aren't surprised while the warriors do their work.

Round 3 of combat

Thargus' axe and Gelli's arrows bounce harmlessly off the armored head of the crawler but Athena's spear finds a soft spot between the head and first body segment ripping open a gaping wound as blood and guts spilled from its segmented body. The monster collapsed as it shudders and dies.

The lone soldier near the chest commands: Hold troopers!

He then begins to move toward one of the stricken members of his company saying: Hail and well met adventurers, it was fortunate that you interceded against this hideous beast, it saved my men and I some time. I am Nesto, Sargent of Bravo Team of the Long Range Cavern Patrol.

While he and his men are not relaxing they are also not instigating any hostilities with Thargus, Athena, or the rest of the party.

Athena

"Hail Nesto, Sargent of Bravo Team. I am Athena, Cleric of Ardenia. May I inquire as to who you are patrolling for?"

Niphon

Niphon steps up to Athena's side and listens keenly to the conversation. When Athena asks about the patrol's origins he nods vigorously. Indeed! We are explorers here and know little of your homeland. I am Niphon Chrysophos, a scholar from Archontea. What is your land called? Who are your people?
