It's flat like a wafer, strangely hexagonal, and floats in a chaotic void called the Black Gulf (which may or may not have its own air and gravity).

Its thickness is unknown, and so is the topography of the reverse side. In theory there are 'holes' all the way through... which might include the abyss we just found!

It's been a busier summer than usual for me so far.

No problem. This week has been crazy busy for me and next week isn't shaping up to be much better.

No worries. I'm also pretty busy myself I hope to answer ASAP today to the Ruins adventure.

From all my years in education, my brain is in "summer break" mode and I find it difficult to get anything done. I'm more attentive to being outside and listening to music. My games usually suffer between June and September.

I can't say I have that issue, but I think my wife does.

My vacation starts tomorrow and goes nine days. Might not be able to post at all during that time. Happy gaming and try to stay alive!

Yes well, she'd rather no one had gone down there in the first place! but we're well past that point now...

The only problem I have with retreating is that we'd be leaving Ceana & Kainaxarthos behind. It seems they're charmed so talk won't get them out of it, nor probably slapping them. They might have to be knocked out / restrained and then carried back up the cliff.

The Pigman is an unknown but clearly powerful foe. Odds are against us but fighting as a team, we might be able to defeat him. We might risk losing someone in the fight, but in my view that's not the same as deliberately leaving two behind to become his pets and dinner.

1. We have only one silver weapon, but if a mage has the Enlarge spell he could use it on Akhilleus which (I think) buffs damage.

2. Belloc could use his staff... hopefully it still has charges.

3. Not sure what Drest's wand does. Hopefully something!

I also thought it I could entangle it the net then hopefully we might all jump on it and our combined weight/strength might hold it down while Akhilleus goes stabby stabby.

yea, it looks like belloc wont be able to get any spells off, he lost initiative and the pig keeps hitting him and he's loosing his spells, other wise he does have an enlarge spell to cast and can try and use the staff
hopefully the net works and gives a bit of an advantage

I am hoping the net works and helps. I have a note that Drest thinks the wand might be a wand of blindness but no one has tried using it before. It looked like the right time to try to me anyways.

I think the issue with staying and fighting is that Kain and Ceana are charmed - so they will end up defending him if we threaten to kill him.

If we can drag them away and not harm the pig further, they'll remain charmed but they would have no reason to defend him. As long as we can convince them not to go back without us...

I don't think they will attack. We've already been hitting the monster and they just stay there asking us to stop.

I think that might change if we start to really do damage to it.
