Re: Quest #40 "MommaPamma's Revenge"
New Beginnings/Turning Around
Freeday, 12th of Harvester
Daytime, Humid, Hot, Buggy
Luther glides along with the current, grabbing some lunch as he exits the water to relay what he has seen to the others.
Despite Darklins eagerness for combat, this place looks to be completely removed from any risk of danger.
After another discussion, with the native man still watching from a distance, it seems the adventurers might be willing to change their plans to avoid any more unfortunate interactions with these battered indigenous peoples.

"Yes, I would say we do. Anyone against it?"
If no one objects, she will ask Luther-crab to show them the way he went and see if we can trek next to the river.

Removes the arrow from the bow and carries it in the same hand. Waves to the islander with his free hand as they start to leave and circle around the camp area.

Luther
Luther's eyes and mouthparts move in a very disturbing way- even though he meant it as a grin. That's no good. I went straight to the water and swam up. I'll see f I kin find a way.
With the light-footed grace of a pregnant ox, Luther scouts for a usable route along the water's edge.

Liam looks more sympathetic to the people than anything. With all the events of the past... has it even been a year yet? Who's to say to these people we don't all look alike? Let's just do our best to not look aggressive and move on. Give them a wide birth, no one go for any weapons, keep your hands open where they can be seen, and lets see if we can just move on. These people are exhausted, and who can blame them.

Wes
Wes nods in agreement with Liam. "This is going to be tricky. We'll have to circle at enough distance that their sentries don't spot us. But not so far out that we run the risk of getting lost". He shakes his head and grimaces.
As they move through the jungle, Wes will do his best to read the natural signs that will keep the group on a safe path.

Elnaerel agrees and follows. She tries to hear any Indijun speaking, movement sounds in the underbrush etc.

Chauncey follows along as Mr. Wrenly scouts ahead from the treetops.

Luther
If Luther can't find a way past the village on the river side, he'll take the lead and use his new bulk to break trail on the landward side.

Re: Quest #40 "MommaPamma's Revenge"
Newer Beginnings
Freeday, 12th of Harvester
Daytime, Humid, Hot, Buggy
The group decides to give these unfortunate indigenous people of the island a wide berth as they try to pass around the village through the jungle.
Luther takes the lead, using his massive girth to smash a trail through the underbrush. He has slow going wherever there are several trees all bunched together, even getting his large carapace stuck a few times before backtracking, but his massive claws prove to be quite valuable for snipping away smaller trees and branches as they travel.
Though not at all quiet, the massive crabman seems pretty handy for making a path. Once they have traveled far enough to start heading back towards the open trail again, everyone suddenly spots a strange bright light coming form the dark jungle up ahead. Oddly, there is no noise or sound coming from the area of this unknown light either, though you can still hear the normal noises of the jungle coming from behind you.

Amun stops momentarily.
"What in the world was that?!"
For some reason she looks at Chauncey, seemingly expecting an answer. he is after all the greatest wizard on the island

"When animals go quiet, it can be a sign that a predator is close by", says Wes softly. "Whatever that is is up there, I doubt we want any part of it. We should backtrack for a little bit and go around."

"Then let's go back and reconsider our possibilities.
I hate to say it, but maybe going across the jungle is our best option."

Liam looking dubiously at the situation. So, go around into the jungle even further than we already are?

Yes, Yes Let's keep to the Jungle. No sense tempting fate. Plenty of predators already in the jungle no need to go find one.

Newer Beginnings
Freeday, 12th of Harvester
Daytime, Humid, Hot, Buggy
Everyone is about to head back the other way after spotting the strange anomaly ahead, but Luther suggests they stop and wait for a moment to "shee" what it might be.
Suddenly, a bright light flashes all around you, blinding you completely and leaving you seeing only the remains of the white flash behind your eyelids, whether open or closed.
You suddenly feel yourselves moving, spinning around through a bright white world, unable to control your movements momentarily as you twirl around aimlessly.
