You're the one who said his longbow needs regular arrows...
Hmmmmm..... Thats peculiar. Can you remind me where I said that?

Thanks!
I remember we discussed that, and I know there was a reason behind it, I just don't remember what it was now.
Please disregard my earlier comment.

I will give Avaala a little more time to reply in case Rick figured this all out over the weekend.

OOC: Sorry, Rick's been pulling double duty at work as his partner is taking Christmas leave the last two weeks. Tired and nearly brain-dead. One more day and I'll take MY holiday leave!
OOC part 2: Is anyone moving towards the Obelisk, as far as the NPC's are concerned? Last I looked, it was nearly abandoned.
Avaala the Grey
Avaala stops ministering to Chauncey. He leans back away from his friend, very interested in what Mr. Wrenly does.
OOC part 3: Avaala's mostly looking to see if Mr. Wrenly is clever enough to keep the bugs off Chauncey.

The Burning And Itching
Sunday, 21st of Goodmonth
Late Afternoon, Hot, Humid, Buggy
Badly wanting to find out what happened to his dragon friend, Avaala keeps one yellow eye on the obelisk, where he sees no action at all. Swatting away at the bugs for a moment before backing away from Chauncey, Mr. Wrenly quickly picks up on the idea, bouncing up and down on the unconscious wizards chest as he spins around chasing away insects.
The others continue firing into the nearly immobile troll, finally bringing it to a state of unconsciousness just inside the opening to the huge hut. Wes grabs a flask of oil to finish the job once and for all.

Avaala the Grey
Seeing Mr. Wrenly doing the most important thing to keep Chauncey healthy, Avaala mutters, "Forgive me, Chauncey, but this may be my last chance to save Treasure." The Mage then makes a mad dash for the Obelisk, taking the candle out of his pocket and getting ready to open the tower once more.

Wes
"Stick another couple of arrows in it, just to be sure", urges Wes. "I don't want it to wake up while I'm setting it on fire."

Cealwyn Blackthorn
"What did it want so badly from the hut?" Cealwyn wonders aloud. He'll move a little closer, coming even with Grimm and plonking a couple more arrows into the beast.
[1d20 + 4] = 3+4 = 7, [1d6] = 1
[1d20 + 4] = 18+4 = 22, [1d6] = 6
He grins at his poor first shot.
"Still a bit woozy, I reckon."

Grimm
Light Crosbow - To hit: [1d20+1] = 3+1 = 4 (DEX adj.); Dmg: S/M/L [1d4] = 3
"Maybe we should try to retrieve all of our bolts and arrows before we set it ablaze?" says the dwarf when he sees his quiver around half capacity.

Wes
"If it wakes up while you're doing that, you'll have to put even more arrows into it and still set it on fire", Wes points out. "I think you'd be better cutting your losses at this point".

Luther
Luther grabs the troll's ankles, intending to drag it back away from the hut. He immediately realizes that's not happening, and returns to his original plan to nail the body to the ground.
Once he's secured, we pull the hut down on him and burn it.

Bonnie
"Wait, wait, wait, wait!" Bonnie sees the plan to burn the troll inside the hut. "Can't we just burn it without burning the hut?" She looks to determine where the troll lays, and if it would catch the hut on fire.
"Also...isn't troll blood a thing? Like for mages? Or maybe troll teeth?" Bonnie looks to Luther as the resident troll expert. "Either way, I like your idea of dragging it out. I'll help after I cut off its head."
If nobody stops her, and if the troll doesn't respond to Luther pulling on its ankles, Bonnie carefully approaches it and sticks it with her blade. If it doesn't respond, she'll try to cut off its head.

Consequences
Sunday, 21st of Goodmonth
Late Afternoon, Hot, Humid, Buggy
After several more shots and stabs into the unmoving Troll, it’s hideous rubbery body is pulled back out from the entrance of the stinking hut. Wes keeps the torch ready, unsure on the overall plan at this point.
With the conflicting actions, that takes the entire round, so go ahead from there.
Avaala leaves man and monkey behind in the jungle, racing back to the obelisk, passed the carcass of the dead boar, where he finds the red words on the plaque still alight with the following riddle.
My life can be measured in hours. I serve by being devoured. Thin I am quick, fat I am slow, wind is my foe.

Avaala the Grey
Avaala says, "Candle" and looks towards the place where he placed the candle last time, ready to light it as soon as it is in place.

Luther
The hut's a good source of burnable stuff to pile on this bugger to make sure he burns to a crisp. If you got a better idea, great.
I dunno anything about magic stuff- just that it tends to desert you at the worst time.
Luther's main intent is to keep the troll immobilized until it can be definitively killed.

Wes
Wes steps forward to the troll. He pours the oil over it's head and shoulders, trying to avoid the rope entwining it. Then he sets it alight with his torch.

Cealwyn Blackthorn
The ranger takes his dagger and approaches the body of the giant boar, nudging it with his boot to assure himself it's well and truly dead. Then kneels to begin the task of cutting and prying free the tusks and teeth, his eye on making a necklace with them.

Grimm takes a step back and watches the troll blaze like a torch.
We probably didn't have time to get our arrows and bolts back.
