Bonnie
Bonnie watches as the group of slizards seem to collapse and stop struggling in the vines, which in turn shrivel up and recede. "Got it. Fire." She remarks to Luther as he scampers off to loot the hut.
She moves towards Chauncey to move him away, when another slizard rushes forward into the group, eventually picking up the wizard and trying to run off with him. "HEY! STOP!" Bonnie quickly intercepts the only standing slizard left in the clearing. She puts her hand out and pulls her sword. "No. Put him down." She motions for the slizard to put Chauncey down.

Avaala the Grey
Avaala pulls up abruptly. "It's me, Bonnie, Avaala. Let's get the hell away from here and get Chauncey taken care of." He waits just long enough for the sword to either go back in it's scabbard or at least away from him before moving out again. "Say, did you pick up the candle from the Obelisk? I'll need that to get Treasure out of that thing."

Bonnie
She relaxes as Slavaala speaks. "Good gods, I almost cut you!" She sheathes the blade and looks around.
"Only the sleeping ones and the troll are left. Let's take care of Chauncey right here, as opposed to the jungle."
"Luther went to check out that big hut, maybe we'll get lucky and find some bandages or something."
She nods and pulls out the candle. "I didn't want the slizards to get it. Put him down and help me dispatch the rest of them."
Bonnie offers a dagger to Avaala and moves towards the sleeping group, taking a wide berth around the troll.

Avaala the Grey
Avaala pockets the candle, but does not accept the dagger or set Chauncey down. "I do not engage in needless murder. I killed that one over there, but I didn't have a choice. Now do you have anything to help Chauncey? If not, I'm going to try to get him away from here."
If Bonnie offers any kind of healing for Chauncey, Avaala will wait to get it.
If Bonnie does not have any additional healing for Chauncey, Avaala moves out for the trees to the east, Chauncey still loaded.

Bonnie
She lowers the dagger but keeps it in hand. "Murder is rarely needless. Those sleeping slizards will wake at some point. What would you have us do?" She relaxes and tries to convince him.
"Look, I get it. Chauncey is my friend as well, but look around and at the sun. We're not getting home tonight. This clearing is the best place to stay, it even has some shelter, which is better than anything in the jungle."
Bonnie softens and spreads her hands to indicate the village. "The only thing I have to help Chauncey right now is a decent place to rest. Help me secure it."

Avaala the Grey
As he walks away, Avaala says, "You realize the Slizards themselves weren't going to attack us until you decided to fight their priest for that orb? I could understand their language at that time. Only after you took the orb did the priest call for us to be attacked. They were peaceful. And this is their village." The Mage resumes carrying Chauncey to the tree line.

Psssst! Hey! I'm typing here!
The Killing Clearing
Sunday, 21st of Goodmonth
Late Afternoon, Hot, Humid, Buggy
Grimm cleans his blade and retrieves his crossbow, watching as Luther rushes into the large hut at the back of this clearing.
The ranger enters the stinking jungle abode, wishing he would have used a rag or something to cover his nose and mouth beforehand. Can I get a Normal Con check from Luther, please? Inside the dark hut, the ranger is quickly convinced that its only purpose was to house the horrid smelling troll and its pet jungle boar. He sees one large area piled high with sticks and dead fronds that dominates the largest section of floor. Next to that is a muddy area where the oerth is wet and badly rutted up. In the center of the room is what appears to be the rotting carcass of what might have been a large jungle cat or ape of some kind, the gnaw marks on what little meat remains indicates its purpose. Luther sees little else in the hut and none of it appears to hold any value, though......all of it looks burnable.
Wes redirects his bugs, soliciting more unpleasant screams, before attempting his healing powers on the fallen Cealwyn again, to see if his inkling about losing favor with Obad-Hai might be true. After a second round with limited results, what else could it be? Sadly, the poor ranger is still unable to move on his own.
After nearly killing the disguised Avaala for trying to help Chauncey escape, Bonnie suggests the green mage puts his friend down so they can kill the remainder of the sleeping enemy. Unwilling to continue killing creatures that didn't show any signs of hostility towards them until their shaman was accosted, Avaala flat out refuses to comply, instead dragging the prone form of Chauncey towards the trees while Mr. Wrenly hops around him, screeching bloody murder.
As Bonnie knifes the first sleeper with wicked precision and little remorse, she and Grimm notice that the snared troll has finally given up on trying to break his magical bonds by using physical strength, and has now started crawling its way over the stone platform, back towards its hut. The orange flying lizard still hovers overhead as well, staying in the bright magical glow given off by the top of the tall clear obelisk.

Avaala the Grey
OM, I was having Avaala go south around the Obelisk and then east, generally towards Grimm.
"Mr. Wrenly," Avaala says sternly. "I am Avaala in disguise. I am taking Chauncey, your master, to safety. Please come with me, but calm yourself." He only hopes that the familiar understands enough of the Common tongue to comprehend.

Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Bonnie
"Peaceful, my ass." She mutters as she does the necessary deed. "I suppose that calling the boar and troll to attack and kill us counts as peaceful." She continues as she holds her side where the troll got her.
She looks down at the three remaining slizards and sighs. "You didn't answer my question about what to do with these guys!"
Her attention is drawn to the large crawling troll making its way towards Luther. "LUTHER! THE TROLL IS MOVING!"
Bonnie looks back and forth between the slizards and the troll, finally throwing her hands up in disgust. "Whatever." She gives up on the sleeping enemy and moves to the large hut, making sure Luther isn't caught inside unaware.

Wes
Wes gestures to send the insect swarm towards the crawling troll. Then he closes his eyes and speaks to Obad Hai. "Obad Hai, forgive me. We came in peace. We tried to talk to these creatures and meant no harm to them. Then, for some reason, they attacked us. We did not wish it to end like this."
"Please help this man, Cealwyn. He is a man of the forest too, a fine hunter, worthy of your blessing."
Wes reaches into his belt-pouch and produces a small bottle. He opens it and sprinkles some of the contents onto his left hand. Then he draws his dagger and grasps the blade firmly in his right. He lays his left hand on Cealwyn's arm and sends another prayer to Obad Hai.
Strength Of The Swarm [1d4] = 2
So +2 for Cealwyn, -2 for Wes

Grimm starts running towards the area where the troll is, without getting too close to the beast. "The brute is moving! The brute is moving! We have to burn it down. Wood, straw, bring something! That magic candle! I don't have tinder!"
Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Luther
Con 15 ability check N [3d6] = 13
Luther finishes his search as quickly as possible. He comes back out, vaguely green. *cough-cough* That smells worse than a dung beetle's arsehole. DON'T go in there!
Seeing the troll trying to crawl away, Luther collects a spear from one of the dead Scalies. His intent is to pin the troll to the ground with it, and then build a bonfire around it.

It'll be next round before a groggy 1hp Cealwyn gets to act, right? Making sure I don't miss any chances.

Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
The Scattering
Sunday, 21st of Goodmonth
Late Afternoon, Hot, Humid, Buggy
Avaala ignores Bonnie’s aggressive comments and questions, carrying Chauncey over to where Grimm had been hiding with the aid of a rather confused little monkey. Leaving sleeping lizard men lie, the elf moves off to aid Luther and Grimm, all three of them rather concerned that the jungle troll is on the move again.
Luther exits the large hut a bit green behind the gills, barely able to keep his rations down. The trio of he, Bonnie, and Grimm start for the crawling troll, it’s earlier wounds now completely healed again. Fortunately, Wes’s magical snare has severely reduced the creatures ability to use its legs. Unfortunately, they see that the druid has now commanded his mega insect swarm to head directly towards them. Blotting out the sky as they approach, they decide they better keep their distance a while longer yet. But just as the bugs arrive, the swarm begins to dissipate naturally.
Nearly out of options, and with his magic all but spent, Wes struggles with the limited results of his healing abilities, now certain he has lost the usual favor of the Shalm. Trying one final prayer, a strange natural necromancy he has come up with recently, the druid grasps his blade while touching the fallen ranger. The area around the half-elf seems to darken a bit momentarily, as a large gash opens up in the palm of his hand where the blade was touching. 2 dam Cealwyn’s cold body starts to shudder slightly as his eyes slowly open again.

Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Grimm will start gathering twigs, branches, straw, anything there's around. IF there's not enough, he'll go to the hut. In any case, he'll throw them to the troll or, rather, before it, anticipating the path it's taking.
Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Cealwyn Blackthorn
The world is silent and peaceful now that the dreams have faded. For a long moment, Cealwyn feels nothing. Then the light behind his eyelids grows brighter and brighter until he blinks and realizes his eyes are open. Wes looms above him and a wall of noise crashes into his consciousness.
His hand reaches immediately for the hilt of his sword, trying to find where he dropped it and struggle to his feet. "I feel like my arms and legs have stones tied to them," he mutters, glancing to either side to assess their current situation.
"Thank you," he tells Wes with an appreciative nod. "Looks like I missed half the fight." Cealwyn gathers himself to move, reaching for anything flammable that will aid in the party's quest to burn the crawling troll. He remains carefully out of the beast's reach as he tosses it and keeps an eye open for slizards, wary of losing his tenuous hold on consciousness.

Wes
Wes breathes a little easier as he sees Cealwyn's eye open. "Thank you Shalm", he breathes softly.
The druid accepts Cealwyn's thanks with a nod and extends his left hand to help him climb to his feet. As the ranger moves off to help the others find materials to burn the troll, Wes calls after him "I've got oil here. And a tinderbox in my pack. Help yourself. Just be careful not to burn the rope. You might set it free again!" Then he sits down and starts to bind the wound in his hand.

I forgot about the rope holding the troll. That's an important detail.
