They are all male except: Easy, Ink and Love who are female.
Freddie is apparently known as "Camp Freddie" for unknown reasons (but actually because of the character so named in the Italian Job - proper version).
He therefore has Grav Vehicle 1!

I've updated the OOB to reflect this.

Then Freddie is Caxton's chauffeur for the Technical.
Any other reshuffle on the crew assignments needed, now we know whether they float face-up or face-down?
Maybe Ink can point Jess to a good tattooist, so she can mark the last mission and it's wound.

I am mostly recovered, malaria's gone then had the good fortune of hitting a bit of god knows what gastrointestinal issue. Expect to be 100% tomorrow

Glad to have you back and hear you are recovered.

@Tiglath, wasn't sure what the welcoming committee would be, so I sent the Marine to deal with it.

So, we're not going to get any IC time on the ship getting to know the diplomatic team and planning?
Isn't there stuff to tie up on Collace first, like finalising kit and confirming the work on the Bartizan?

Per
Tiglath, we can do both Collace and Inchin, as long as things don't get messy. That gets us into the action and we can resolve "backstory" issues as well.

I guess we can do both, but we really need to spend time with the diplomatic team in transit (we spent enough time asking for our officers not to go into cold storage for this very reason) and understand their plans. We're not entering an active war zone (yet), this is a diplomatic mission and we're security for them.

Okay, I checked my notes, and Tiglath's comment about running multiple "streams" of the game was in a PM. My assumption, subject to correction, is that it's okay.
As a new player to the group, I need to comment. While I'm all for PC and NPC conversations, and have done a lot of them on my own, there's also a need to move the game forward. In the "Wine Dark Rift" game, Larry spent the month of June fetching coffee and doodling. That's not much fun, and certainly a waste of the time I spent rolling up the character and building his backstory.
I drafted out notes for the group, to include a TO&E. Somehow Jakob went from officer to enlisted. Okay, I'd rather move forward than debate the point. But that also means that since officers made the jump awake, Jakob and his team were in cold storage. So, he prepped as much as he could and then fired his team up as soon as they landed. Forward motion is what success is about. Sitting around and planning, and talking, is nice, but it is not success. And after a while it doesn't feel like much of a game, either.
Sorry if it seems like I'm not a great fit for the game. I set Jakob up to serve well, and to gather back-channel intel for the mission. I feel like there's a discussion going on and I'm not a part of it. That's okay, but it's not much of a game for me.

I have no problem moving the game forward, but the point I'm making is that we need to spend time in transit getting to understand the mission, at least to some degree. You seemed very keen that the officers don't go into cold storage for the transit for this very reason, and we made a point of it with the customer. I thought that's what you wanted, maybe I misunderstood, apologies.
As for your rank, I thought that was the rank you wanted, as you didn't say anything when we were putting the teams together (although I was a bit surprised at the time, hence my assumption you were happy). Again, sorry if there was a misunderstanding, I'm happy for you to be a Captain like the others and Jess to be SM. We hadn't got to the point of actually deciding who was awake for the trip, but it would have included officers and NCO's.
I'm sure this just a bunch of miscommunications that we can work out.

I'm confused.
Who said anything about even boarding the ship for Inchin?

I will hopefully dispel confusion!
I was planning to announce "forthcoming events" in game but didn't get the time. I may have also lacked clarity in discussing our future direction which may have contributed to any misunderstanding.
The "Inchin" thread is a reference thread akin to the "Collace" thread (UWP, notes, etc).
Leitz has posted in it (quite reasonably assuming it was a new thread) but I can easily move that over into the new "action thread" which will be titled "A Passage to Inchin".
NB I haven't made it yet or even announced a change of thread!
Note the new Political Map thread. No clues - but it could be useful.
Planning ahead a new main action thread "A Passage to Inchin" will cover the time in jump from Collace to Inchin. This will take an amount of game time during which finalising the organisation and logistics of the unit
can still continue whilst allowing for PC/NPC interaction on route to Inchin.
Once we get to Inchin a further action thread will cover the dipomatic and mercenary operations dirtside. (I believe the last main thread got over long which may have obscured plot details and made finding stuff onerous).
So don't worry we're all good!
There are still odds and ends to tidy up on Collace and I'm running some by PM so if the duck appears still atop the water be assured it is paddling like billyo under the surface!

Yes.
Tilgath has it right; I saw the "Inchin" post and assumed the in transit stuff would be handled as filler.

I had done the TO&E, and had Skip (an SEH awardee) outrank Jakob, but both were officers. Additionally, Jakob had missed a lot of rank and skill rolls (I used CT Book 4), so he's not as skillful as he could be. I had mentally moved forward and made the likely false assumption that the TO&E had been read.
As an aside, while the past few weeks haven't been nearly as unkind to me as they have been to others in the group, they have worn on me a good bit. I've been a bit overly sensitive, and need to press through this. My apologies for not handling it as well as I could have.

No worries, these things happen. I've found that on the forums it's easy for things to get unintentionally missed.
From other threads it seems you're happy with the rank of SM, if this is really not the case then say now and we'll fix it.
I hope your next few weeks are better.

Yeah, well, this is a fun game and when we all get to posting it's real difficult to find stuff. I missed one of my own posts...
On rank, my preference would be 1LT. Just below Skip, as a nod from the MCG to the SEH. Except for the EDU issue, I'd like to model him on Maj Dick Winters, of "Band of Brothers" fame. Of course, he has "family" obligations, and a girlfriend he's serious about, too. IC, he has a drive to better his station in life.
I'm more glad we got things cleared up.
I need to see what the process is for raising one's EDU post chargen.
