Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Weston's main interest is the ring of protection, to get his AC down (as a cleric he's up for bashing people with his staff if we can do that).
He can also use:
the staff (he already has 2 magical staffs of healing, and one is +1, so I don't think he can carry a third)
potions
He can use cleric and MU items, but not armour, only bludgeoning weapons, and only scrolls of spells from the alteration school. This limits his options from the treasure.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
As far as I know the following PC's are Sticking around.
______________________
Egon
Weston
Delsenora
Trist
Grimnar
______________________
Hedgeknight bowed out a while back so Xlore is unmanned and likely not sticking around.
I have not heard anything back from PyroArrow so Therick is probably not sticking around either.
Elanriel is leaving/has left already.
Kravoud is unmanned and not sticking around unless I recruit someone that wants to play him.
I have re-opened recruitment for the game here https://www.unseenservant.us/forum/view ... hp?t=13068

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
I propose the following:
Items that I am not seeing a taker and we should sell/trade (with notes attached)
- Delsenora (C) - short sword +1 (Magic), 1 x Potion of healing (Magic)
- Egon (F/T) - dagger +1 (Magic), 1 x Potion of healing (Magic), 1 x Potion of Gaseous Form (Magic)
- Grim (F/C) - (Plate Mail Armor +1 or Chainmail Armor +2) and 1 x Potion of healing (Magic)
- Trist (F/MU) - longsword +1 (Magic), scroll of spells (magic missile, levitate, web, fireball), 1 x Potion of healing (Magic)
- Weston (C) - 1 x Ring of Protection (Magic), 1 x Potion of healing (Magic)
Items that I am not seeing a taker and we should sell/trade (with notes attached)
- Staff +2 (Magic) - Only Weston can use this and his post says not very interested
- 1 x Plate Mail Armor +1 (Magic)
- (Plate Mail Armor +1 or Chainmail Armor +2) depending on Grim's pick - If the Chain is still around Del can use this
- Shield +1 (Magic) - Everyone that uses a shield already has a +1
- Medium Shield +1 (Magic)
- Footman's Mace +1 (Magic) - No mace users
- Chaotic Broadsword +2 (Magic) - I am assuming that since this was an Expert module that this is like a CE item, otherwise Grim is specialized in broad sword
- 2-Handed Sword +1, +2 vs Lycanthropes (Magic) - No two-handed sword users
Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Nice post, gurusql, thanks!
I'm happy with the distribution above.
It's shame about the +2 staff but I can't see how Weston can juggle more of them, unless we find a bag of holding. Unless anyone has any ideas?
Just as a note, Weston can use the footman's mace, but since he has a +1 staff we might as well sell it.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
I would say really the only benefit of the +2 staff is that is +2 to hit and dmg but it can't cast healing spells like he other staves you already have.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Yeah.
Unless someone wants to carry the other healing staff strapped across their back?
If we picked up another cleric in the group then they could carry one.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Well I did get a PM from someone interested in joining the game but I guess my recruitment forum confused them as they wanted to take over Grimnar, so I explained those are character already being played but I did offer up Kravoud who is a cleric dwarf if they want to play him then we would have another cleric that might be able to use one of the two staves.

Grim will take the Plate +1. Is there anymore information on the Chaotic Broadsword +2? Can Grim do a Detect Alignment on it? Is it Evil?gurusql wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 3:28 am I propose the following:1 x Potion of healing (Magic) for someone that feels they are getting the short end of the stick

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
The information on the Chaotic sword so far is this:
The Chaotic Sword +2 gives power of absolute command over up to 40 HD each of goblins and hobgoblins. When wielded the sword wielder and all allies within 60' are immune to charm and sleep spells.

Grimnar is Chaotic Good. Will that be an issue? I will take it and see if I can lead more about it later.
And what was decided on for exp for the last adventure?

Trist is ok with the loot distribution.
OOC is the 2600 xp in addition to the other 2600 xp?

Trist
Trist would allow others to scribe spells from her spell book once she scribes the spells from the scrolls.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Maybe we could trade some of the magic armor and weapons no one wants? Egon has a +1 battle axe and +1 leather armor and he donated his +1 plate mail to another player.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
No issue on my part. Basically I'm going to alter that sword description it basically gives the wielder control in a command spell like manner over low level chaotic creatures such as goblins, hobgoblins, orcs, and so forth. It also protects the wielder and anyone in a 60' radius from charm and sleep spells. Can be wielded by anyone of a Chaotic Alignment.
