Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
I know I keep saying I'll get the starter post up so we can get this rolling, but things keep getting away from me. Slammed at work again today, and tonight is my face to face game. I'll try again tomorrow.... <sigh>

And we are live people - let's do this!
Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Not to belabor the point, but I think adding OOC: at the front of the comments, along with the italics, would keep any confusion from occurring. Mainly for myself as I have a bad habit of speed reading.Koren n'Rhys wrote:Short OOC comments, questions, etc should go at the end of your posts, in italics. Like this is.

Ahh, sorry I thought italics were for speech.
Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Hmm... we have said two different things now that I go back and look at it. That means the OOC: at the front of the comment is definitely needed.

Sure, that works VonAlric.

Gents, how shall we set the marching order for the wilderness?
Toldir -- Nimbus -- Elan -- Conrad
Toldir -- Conrad -- Nimbus -- Elan
Some other combo?

Second makes sense to me. Nimbus doesn't want point or rear.

I'm happy with any order although it may make sense for Conrad to be in the rear due to his short legs and penchant to dart into the woods / undergrowth and hide in case of trouble.
Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Second option ok here too, muscle in the front & rear

So... A or B? Looks like Nimbus wants to be in the middle, and Conrad in the rear, so A?

You have two votes for B and I'm not that picky so you might as well go with that.

B it was will be then. Thanks. And yes, as you search around, you can collect what you need.

Interesting choice by the party to turn away from investigating the temple. I’m curious about why that course of action was chosen.

I figured since my halfling had mentored under a ranger in the past and wanted a warm meal in a comfortable inn he would defer to our ranger. Perhaps not the best dramatic choice but it seemed in character.aronbc wrote:Interesting choice by the party to turn away from investigating the temple. Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Just to clarify things a bit - Elan would have heard a vague mention from his friend back in the mercenary company about a temple being associated with the village back a couple of generations ago. In the area of the river and the markers you found, there was no sign of buildings or other ruins nearby. I also hadn't moved you on, to give everyone time to chime in on a next step.
EDIT: Looking a the last couple of posts in the IC thread, I see my descriptions must not have been great either. The markers, and the trail, as what you started to follow east and away from the river towards the village. It wasn't another side trail or anything.

Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
From what was relayed by the illusionist (typing on my phone and can't look back), it seemed like there was nothing to find here. I also did not see any description about a side trail so I just kept going. Now that our halfling has said something, I can react.
