Sorry for being an idiot, Pete, but could you clear up for me where the basket and winch system is? Is it between the two stalactites in the barracks area or between the two connected by the rope bridges (the temple and guard room)?

Sure, sorry... if you look at the barracks area on the map, you'll see two round "stalactite" rooms... the elite drow barracks.

There's a little brown line coming out of the right one, in the space between them. This is the "arm" that the basket hangs from. It can be swung out over the precipice, or swung back over onto the barracks area floor.

There is also a winch system, muscle powered, to raise up/ lower it.

Do either of the quaggoth in the kitchen have a set of keys?

No, the quaggoth do not have keys.

Keys you've seen were on the lieutenants and on lowee level drow guards on duty.

Okay, I've lost track of where everyone is and what we're all up to. I've no idea how Birbal ended up in his present dire straits. Is it too meta-gamey for us to run an overview here in the OOC thread?

It doesn't matter to me. I haven't been following the other threads so I didn't know anyone else was in trouble.

Ybn was out of game for a bit, so he didn't get assigned anywhere. Instead of dropping him into one of your scenes, I just wrote him into a new place :)

Holy crap! You don't post for a while and your character gets sacrificed to Lloth? I'm definitely going to be posting every day from now on.

Hi guys,

Sorry that things have been so... well... scattered. I hadn't exactly intended for this, but hey... that's fine.

I think things may (?) be consolidating relatively soon, so hang in there!

Regarding Advantage/ Disadvantage: The PHB does state that
(t)he DM can also decide that circumstances influence a roll in one direction or the other and grant advantage or impose disadvantage as a result.

I'm really sorry about the delay, folks.

It's been finals time, and I've been overwhelmed with that. Good news is that that is over now, so I should be much more free to post.

What's in the bag?
Sabyllos outfits himself with studded armor and two daggers. In one sack, he puts two coils of rope, two hammers, two bags of spikes, and two bags of caltrops. In another bag, he puts two set of studded leather, two shortswords, and two crossbows with bolts.
Thoril also tries to maximize the load but not at the expense of defending himself - it wouldn't help if he couldn't get the arms back to the group.

He'll armor himself and use a less preferred sword until he can get his axe back and put daggers, rope, spikes and a hammer into the bag for escape.
The plan was that everyone else also fill some sacks, so that we'd have plenty to pass around. We don't know precisely how many of each Thoril grabbed, and whether or not Jimjar and Shuushar complied with the plan. We'll need a DM ruling on this.

Ok folks,

As mentioned in the game thread, you are "out" though maybe low on supplies. Nicely done :)

You may all "level up", and you should figure out your next move. Mechanically, I think it will interact with the journey mechanic, but you may surprise me.

On leveling up, do you guys want to go with default hp, or roll?

If you want to multiclass at this point, it should be something that doesn't require a bunch of extra specialized training, so check with me :)

I prefer roll but don't really care and will go with the group on this.

I'm with Rex, I have always preferred the random roll but I am good with whatever the majority decide upon.
