Off Duty 2 (OOC)
Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
Any body still around or did the Jason Reitman teaser stun everyone into silence?

Post coming today! Was waiting for Scott but I suppose I have what I need to go forward.
And yes, I am stoked about the new teaser trailer! Can hardly wait to have a real sequel!

Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
i dont know if its being old and jaded or what but im really not psyched. I mean I loved the game that was the "third" but I've noticed something weird the last five years or so where people want more, regardless of quality. Like TFA came out and about a year later everyone would agree it was meh but "so what its more star wars" and when i would ask them, it didnt matter if it was good, just more. And like i dont want more Ghostbusters, I want more good Ghostbusters and I just dont think anyone in Hollywood is equipped for that anymore lol.
Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
I hear you. And I do agree. I just want to remain optimistic about it. I am hoping that they learned their lesson with the reboot as a way how NOT to do it. Not trying to hop on the hate the reboot bandwagon, just looking at things as they are. I think we will see people start demanding more from their movies again very soon since there has been so much backlash in the last couple years.

Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
My money is that all the wrong lessons will be taken from the reboot backlash—namely, rather than trying to do anything new or different, they'll just warm up the leftovers.
I find it easier to get excited about the proposed animated GB movie. It seems like they'll be able to take more risks, being a little more under the radar. Wouldn't it be nice if the Into The Spiderverse lightening struck twice?

Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
Sorry about slow response. I have been in and out of the ER all weekend. Nothing much to say at the moment, but I haven't forgotten about you.

Hope everything is OK.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
So a question about how we are going to, or wanting to do multiple investigations. Are we going to do them all as one? Split up Scooby Doo style? Split them up like cases among detectives/caseworkers? Or just kinda as they come?
Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
Those are all workable options. I will always make new threads for new missions you take on, etc. So you can have multiple cases open and I will happily link them back and forth to help keep them somewhat more linear in the story.

Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
I think we have three levels of response:Taaz wrote:So a question about how we are going to, or wanting to do multiple investigations. Are we going to do them all as one? Split up Scooby Doo style? Split them up like cases among detectives/caseworkers? Or just kinda as they come?
1. Inspections: For simple calls, we can send two GB's to see what's going on. Perhaps, as we get more experienced, we can run these solo. On inspections, you might resolve a very simple problem, but the main idea is to see what's going on in order to figure out what the level of prep and response required is.
2. Bustings: Team shows up, researched and equipped, sirens blaring, ready to scatter protons and slime.
3. Investigations: Our longer-term projects, such as the Mayor or Kindle. We need to be moving these forward day by day, and not get too distracted by all the smaller jobs.
With 6 of us, we could run 3 scheduled inspections each morning, then a busting (triage'd by eminence of threat), and then spend the end of day recuperating and progressing our investigations.
These, of course, are exactly the sorts of plans that fall apart immediately, but it seems like a good place to start.
Re: Off Duty 2 (OOC)
Yeah that was my thoughts, anything likely to be a false alarm or not needing a bust send 1 or 2 people, but other stuff we would all work together. Awesome
