Jacob peeked over his shoulder once the ghost was clear. He smirked and replaced the neutrona wand in its cradle. The job was done. Score one for the Ghostbusters. Jake then walked over to Roy and patted the other man firmly on the back. The poor guy had had a rough first time out in the field, there wasn't any need to call attention to that fact right now.

"I call that a success, gentlemen. Let's go meet the public, properly this time." he said with a lopsided grin.

Guys, we just busted our first ghost! Good job, everyone. It really is a team effort, and everyone pitched in to take that sucker down. Now, let's go see the look on that smug mother...pusbucket's face! Lionel tries to high five his teammates before they head out to the (wild adulation) of the (adoring and grateful) crowd. Do Ghostbusters attract groupies? Because if there is ever a time, right now... Eh. Never mind.

It was like the sound of a tornado for just a split second then, almost an overwhelming lack of sound as the clear beeping of the trap as it smoked and rocked gently. He lifts the foot pedal and begins rolling up the cabling and finally lifting the trap. "WHEW Jobs a good 'un" He looked around."Wow we didn't even start any fires, go team"

He turned and followed Jacob, Lionel, and Roy. "Best. Job. Ever."

Roy shrugs and puts his gear back in place "Eh well if this gear were wireless that'd save a lot of trouble you know." listening to the others "We did a right good job of looking like clowns in public before we got the ghost too I hate to see what the media does to us with this. We should deal with that news caster and I doubt we'll get groupies well maybe you Lionel what with your athletes looks and all. Me I look like a goof ball."

Jason turns to Roy nodding, "Yeah, but with any luck all anyone will remember is that guy catching a coffee cup to the noggin." and he chuckles trying to avoid the acrid smoke coming from the trap hes holding.

The fans usually forget the mistakes you made in the first quarter if you win the game. That's pretty much what we did here. People will remember the loudmouth getting hit with the coffee mug, and us catching the ghost and saving the day.

If the press was going to swarm, Jacob would happily field the questions about the team, the franchise, any current pricing specials; but he wasn't much of a technical guy. That was clearly Jason. While the others continued their debate, Jake reeled in the trap and handed it over to Jason. He believed the smoking trap would be an effective lure for the questions he himself was ill-equipped to respond to.

"If they have questions about this thing, you should be the one answering them, Doc." he said, then led the way out of the cafe with a quick, "Come on."

Sunshine, slightly cooler, calm.

With the trap closed, smoking, and occasionally seeming to get bumped from the inside... Hmmm... The team gets themselves collected in the aftermath of their first job and prepare to meet the public again. They make it outside just as the clouds break and sunshine stabs through the puffy cumulous clouds and seems to shine directly down on the entrance of the Coffee House just as the Ghostbusters file out.

The crowd is still small, but those that have been here since the beginning erupt into cheers and other latecomers, after finding out what is happening, seem surprisingly quick to join. You can see at least one phone out for every three people who may have been recording the entire time. It is also easy to see that Bur and Camera-guy are only just now recovering from the coffee cup concussions. Bur is already screaming at the photographer to pick up the camera and get the live shot up again. The two journalist fumble about for now.

Billy and Jean somewhat hesitantly, very conscious of the many onlookers. Is... it in there? ask Billy pointing to the trap.

Jean is close by and seems curious but also cranes her neck around the guys for a look at their beloved coffee shop. Is it safe to go back in? Are there going to be more?

A police officer is also making his way over but doesn't seem aggressive. To the contrary, he seems more open than you would expect. He seems to be more concerned with listening at the moment and keeps a respectful distance away but doesn't make a secret of the fact he is eavesdropping.

Walking out Jason sees the crowd and lifts the trap up over his head and pumps his other fist. "We got it!"

He sees Billy and Jean right as Billy asks about the trap. "Yeah, hes in there. Trapped in our own special containment system. We will do some follow up research and scans to make sure but right now your ghost free." Jason is sure to take valence readings to confirm this.

If I need a brains roll let me know.

He reaches into his back pocket and produces his business card. "If you need any help, or know anyone who does, and hands them his card. "just give me a call.

He pauses for a second, "And yes mam your good to go back in there. The damage seems minimal, some equiptment and coffee cups. But you'll probably be closed a few hours at least."

Jacob seemed content to allow Jason to deal with their clients. He instead made a beeline toward Bur and his cameraman. Maybe he could put a positive spin on this entire story by getting out in front of it. If he let Bur control the narrative, there was no telling what sort of damage the man could do to their public image. Jake sensed it was time for an interview.

"Are you back on the air yet?" he asked sardonically.

Bur still rubbing his smarting head eyes the cameraman hard. Well?

CameraGuy Shrugs. No Audio, but we are still live.

The reporter looks doubly frustrated and steps out of the shot, attempting to direct the photographer towards interesting shots, but seems mostly to be taking out his frustrations on the pudgy man who barely seems to notice as he pans around taking in the entire scene. From his nodding and holding of his headphones, he is taking instructions from someone else now, presumably from a director back at the station.

As for Bur, he whirls on Jake and points up at his face. I'll get to the bottom of all this! Mark my words! You won't make a fool of me!

Billy and Jean go into their coffee house and begin looking around at the mess and shaking their heads and already discussing how they are going to take care of the task. Billy, walks over to the door, surprisingly, the only intact piece of glass in the whole storefront, and turns the open sign to closed.

Just as that potentially sad note happens, so does something else. A cheer goes up among the growing crowd. "GHOSTBUSTERS! GHOSTBUSTERS! GHOSTBUSTERS! GHOSTBUSTERS!" It would seem that people are coming out of the woodwork to come to the scene and the police and fire servicemen can barely keep them back.

The police officer who had been standing nearby turns and looks to Lionel and Roy. Well, looks like you made an impression.
Care to tell me what happened here?

"GHOSTBUSTERS! GHOSTBUSTERS! GHOSTBUSTERS! GHOSTBUSTERS!"

Jason can feel the ghost in the trap bouncing around inside, but the smoke has subsided and otherwise seems to be stable.

Actions? :)

As Billy and Jean walk away back into the coffee shop Jason looks around and nothing seems to require his immediate attention so he starts reacting to the crowds chant, walking to the edge of the tape and shaking hands and handing out high fives. After about 30 seconds of this he realizes they should probably check back in. No used getting too distracted by people calling your name. He pulls out his phone, dialing the HQ, waiting for Julia to pick up.

Well, we got a call about a disturbance down here at the coffee shop, so we gathered our gear and hustled down here. When we arrived, we saw a bunch of people out here and heard noises coming from inside, with an occasional item being thrown through the windows. We took a few moments to assess the scene, and it seemed like nobody was in immediate physical danger, but then a couple people got hit with debris thrown from the shop, so we decided we needed to act quickly before anyone got seriously hurt. We cautiously entered the store, not knowing exactly what to expect. When we got near the counter, that is when we discovered that there was, in fact, a ghost in the store. We targeted the ghost with our neutron wands, holding the specter in place, while one of us deployed the trap. Once deployed, the trap was activated, sucking the ghost inside. He points out one of his teammates. Jason, there, has the trapped ghost, but it really was a team effort. This could not have been done by one person. We needed the entire team to perform their roles. Fortunately, we have been coached well, so when the time came to make a play, we didn't have to think, just acted on instinct and muscle memory. Fortunately, this was more of an annoying and somewhat destructive ghost, and not a truly dangerous ghost, but we were ready for whatever we would have found. I think we have a solid team, and I think we'll be able to do some good things here. I'm glad we were able to win over the fans pretty quickly. It's a great feeling, hearing the fans chanting your name. He turns and waves at the adoring crowd. Is there anything else you need from me, officer? We should probably get the ghost back to the station and into the containment grid pretty soon.
