Nexus keeps his eyes out behind the companions, in case any other bandits begin to attack whilst the main body of our force is distracted.
”Things have certainly progressed eh Druid!” the gnome says with a wide eye, hunkering down to keep himself as small a target as possible. If he sees any other bandits he will yell as loud as he can their direction and numbers for the others to hear.

Delgrot ignores his injury and swings again at the bandit before him "Marthammor Duin aid me." the specialty priest says before swinging his hammer.
Jaroo continues to stay alert and watch the farmers on the road and the woods to their south.

Round 2
The remaining bandit shows incredible resolve against seemingly such unbeatable odds, but it presses the attack and, with an impressive display of swordsmanship, manages to issue Delgrot another cut (-5) and bringing the dwarf to within inches of his life.
The group was correct to be suspicious of the farmers, as they quickly turn reveal themselves to be in concert with the bandits.
"Get those two," the heftiest of the farmers (Farmer #1) yells, pointing in the direction of Jaroo and Nexus, the obvious casters in the party.
Farmer #4, spotting the pair of dwarves outnumbering his bandit friend, rushes up the embankment and, spying the heavily bleeding attacker, looks to finish off Delgrot, but the club he's brandishing clanks harmlessly off the dwarven cleric's chain.
The lead farmer, Farmer #1, spies Ardium taking free shots with a long bow and rushes to intercept. The large man swings his great club against the elf and connects with a glancing, but effective blow (-3) against the Ardium's right shoulder.
Farmer #2 rushes at Roderick, the next most likely to intervene, and weakly clanks his club against the paladin's shield.
Farmer #3 manages to sneak across the battlefield and, spying Jaroo and Nexus seeking cover behind the cart, targets the larger of the two with a club strike, which manages to catch the actual cart instead.
Delgrot and Unna look to finish off the bandit. Delgrot's manages to attack first, hitting with a perfectly placed strike, but to very little effect in his weakened condition. Unna, looking to finish what her dwarven companion started, has her sword swipe knocked away by the talented bandit swordsman.
Alara planned on seeking a better angle, and sought to move near Ardiam, but the farmer invasion makes repositioning into that area a more risky proposition. She does now have multiple targets to choose from, including a few that can be easily reached with a less risky melee attack.
Nexus, seeing his hiding companion come under attack, takes a step back from Jaroo and continues to scan the horizon for signs of additional attackers, of which there still are none.
Samdarag, seeing the farmer club his cart, wheels around and smacks the offending target with a solid thump, knocking the wind out of the farmer and nearly dropping it! Jaroo, seeing the success the merchant had with his quarterstaff, looks to duplicate it -- and does! The druid issues the farmer a perfectly placed strike against the farmer, braining it. Farmer #3 collapses to the ground, motionless.

I still need Round 2 actions for Roderick and Ardiam; plus Round 3 actions from everyone.
Also, plus +20xp to Delgrot and Jaroo for their natural 20.

Nexus seeing the farmers show their true colours, clutches his fleece and begins chanting a spell. He casts phantasmal force, causing two strong looking vines to snake out of the trees and wrap themselves around bandit one and bandit four, trying to trick them into thinking they have been ensnared by the local plant life at his bidding. He will call to nature after the spell is complete in an effort to insinuate he is manipulating the powers of nature like he has seen his Druid friend do in the past, just more targeted.

"Lay down your arms, miscreants!" urges Roderick as he battles the closest hostile farmer.
Jaroo continues to watch their backs as the party makes quick work of the attackers.

Round 3 "Lay down your arms, miscreants!" urges Roderick as he lashes out with his long sword against the nearest farmer, who easily bats the strike aside with his club. (Round 2) With greater determination, the Avatar refocuses and slashes against the farmer a second time, who, again, is able to fend off the paladin's strike.
Just off to Rodericks' right, Alana strategically positions herself alongside Ardium and, casting 'Burning Hands,' touches her thumbs together with fingers spread, and sends a jet of searing flame in an arc that engulfs the tall, imposing farmer. The farmer screams in pain as the flames begin to wreak havoc on his flesh. Ardium, seeing the farmer still standing, quickly lashes out at the farmer in flames with his uncle's longsword, careful to avoid the blaze himself. The elf slices through the farmer's leather armor and, despite inflicting a serious wound, fails to drop the large farmer. (Round 2) Looking to end the threat, Ardium jabs at the lit farmer again, sinking the tip of his blade into the farmer's side. The farmer's leader succumbs to the multiple injuries inflicted upon him and violently crashes to the ground.
Nexus, seeing the farmers show their true colors, clutches his fleece and begins chanting his 'Phantasmal Force' spell, causing two strong looking vines to snake out of the trees and wrap themselves around the bandit farmer atop the embankment. A cry in horror from the bandit, who drops his sword and begins frantically clawing at his legs and upper torso suggesting it firmly believes it is being constricted by the local plant life. The farmer, however, looks at his bandit companion suspiciously, seemingly unaffected.
Unna forcefully interjects herself between Delgrot and the farmer, and connects with her targeted foe with a powerful slash with her longsword, nearly dropping him.
Delgrot takes advantage of the diversion and weakly steps back into the space Unna recently abandoned. In desperate need of healing, he casts 'Cure Light Wounds' upon himself, nearly restoring himself to full health.
Jaroo continues to watch their backs as the party makes quick work of the attackers.

The two farmers drop their clubs and carefully back away; the heavily wounded one almost killing himself as he stumbles down the embankment. "You win," they say, raising their hands in obvious surrender. As they turn, and prepare to outright flee, they look back over their shoulders, in part to make sure they're not being pursued, but also to call out to the bandit companion they're knowingly leaving behind.
"Sorry, Gery."

...with his customary level of success. Ugh. Has this guy even swung a sword before?

Delgrot steps up on Unna's left and raises his hammer to attack the bandit that nearly killed him "Less yer surrenderin' I'm gonna use this." he indicates the hammer if the bandit wants to still fight he will attack.
Jaroo quietly unwinds his sling and sets it spinning. If the retreating bandits do not heed the words of warning from the party he will let loose a stone...
Ardium sees no such constraint as he sees the blood dripping down his leg. He grabs his bow once again and fires a shot toward the more direct sighted fleeing farmer.
(I notice all the melee weapons are focused on the bandit(s), but some say the retreating ones, which may mean the farmer. I hope the arrow doesnt go toward a friendly. ) lngbow (thac0 20) [1d20+2] = 12+2 = 14 ; dam [1d6] = 3
Alara strikes a suitable pose and calls out to the retreating farmers "Halt! Or you will give me no option but to call fire down upon you, far worse than your poor associate suffered"
If they continue to flee she will fire her sling at one:
