That would put you IN the river. Or did you.mean on the other side of the stream? Or EAST?

The two scout orcs push their way down the path toward the stream. They are much quieter than the others as they move but still quite noisy. They only seem to casually scan as they go and don't seem to notice anything amis.

Craxzus- When the Orc Scouts reach about the middle of the stream he casts babble on the closest orc.

Knowledgde Arcane(55%)[1d100] = 34

He will then cast upon agony on it.

Hopefully this will cause the other to come to his aid. One of the others can take him out.

Throm aims with his throwing axe at the nearest scout and hurls it summoning the weapon back after it hits or misses the orc.
Throwing Axe (62%) [1d100] = 10 Damage [1d6] = 5

Pheras will take out his sling and attack the scout who isn't being targeted by Craxzus

Thorgrim will wait until they cross the stream and then attack with his crossbow. He will target the nearest one and will reload his crossbow as soon as he fires the first shot in preparation for a second shot.

Crossbow Attack (34%): [1d100] = 65
Crossbow damage: [2d4+2] = 5+2 = 7

Craxzus casts Babble on the first orc. It pauses momentarily, looks up and down the stream, then continues on.

Throm hurls his ax at the same orc, tearing into its flesh as it flies back to the dwarfs hand. It cries out in a strange language and the second scout looks confused then looks around the woods.

Thorgrims crossbow launches a strange green bolt toward the first of the scouts but misses.

The elf winds his sling and launches a bullet at the second orc connecting with its chest. It cries out in orcish.
No sounds come from the orcs further back in the woods but you cannot see them through the trees either.

Surprise round over

Craxzus casts Agony at the first orc.
Craxzus Knowledgde Arcane(55%)[1d100] = 39
And the orc falls into the stream, thrashing in pain.

Eirenaios fires another bullet at the standing scout hoping he would fall and disappear.

Sling(72: [1d100] = 28 , Damage: [1d8] = 7

does the thrashing orc lose his footing and get washed away with the stream or is the water too shallow and weak for that?

Round one
Craxzus spell topples the first orc who screams in agony. The water here is shallow, which is probably why they chose this point to cross the stream.
Throms ax wizzes by the second scout barely missing the advancing orc.
Thorgrim charges his bow for another shot and the green bolt misses its target.
Eirenaios winds his sling as Throms ax returns to his hand and slams the orc in the head with a bullet. It stands in confusion for a moment, dazed, before falling to the forest floor with a dead thump.
The first scout continues to thrash for a moment then stops moving. Its face submerges.
I forgot to give Thorgrim bonus on surprise round so his first bolt did indeed hit the orc.
Declare Actions for round 2!

Craxzus-

What is the location of the 2 dead orcs? He will try to pull them from the water and set them against the rock as if they are taking a nap. If there is no sign of the other group.

One of the orcs is in the stream and the other is on the south side of the water near Throm & Thorgrim. The scouts were several minutes ahead of the rest.

Throm assists with the orc dead on his side of the stream in setting it up like it is sleeping on the job. Then rushes back to his position poised to throw his axe at the next group of orcs.

Thorgrim jumps in as well to assist with "staging" the orc scouts and then returns to his hiding place to wait for the other orcs. He will cock his crossbow again and patiently wait.
