"Needed...to...take...the...heat...off...the new guy here, or they would have swarmed him. Come and get me, foul beasts!" Bronn grunts with effort as he slashes at the zombie in front of him. He roars for their attention.

Peaches loads up her sling and takes yet another shot. She aims for the wounded zombie.

To hit with sling [1d20+2] = 3+2 = 5

Claude looks back in disapproval as the stone sails 10 feet over the heads of the remaining zombies.

R5. Zombies are in direct contact with Grigg and Bronn; 20 feet away from Peaches, Claude, Simoni, and Pyrrhic; 45 feet away from Milo

Pyrrhic shakes his head. "I guess that's one way to form a line." He makes a quick tactical assessment. "It's too late, Bronn! I've got you covered from here!" Pyrrhic lets another arrow fly but realizes immediately that his shot is off and the arrow flies far from its mark. Peaches loads up her sling and takes yet another shot. She aims for the wounded zombie. Claude looks back in disapproval as the stone sails 10 feet over the heads of the remaining zombies. Milo shrugs and launches another arrow just past one of the zombies. Simoni looks in disappointment at his holy symbol. "I thought for sure I did that right." He shrugs and sends another sling bullet flying. Unlike his companions, his shot is spot on and clocks one of the zombies, dropping it to the muddy ground. "Needed...to...take...the...heat...off...the new guy here, or they would have swarmed him. Come and get me, foul beasts!" Bronn grunts with effort as he slashes at the zombie in front of him. He roars for their attention. Unable to get the attention of the remaining zombie as it battles Grigg, Bronn swings his sword at the foul creature but a lucky step on its part causes Bronn to miss by inches. Grigg discovered that soft doeskin boots, primed for sneaking along creaking boards or toe gripping a stone wall, find little purchase in wet and blood slick earth. Ducking to avoid the zombie chomping on his brains, he flails his sword aimlessly.

The zombie facing Grigg grabs him and bites down hard on Grigg's shoulder. Zombie attack: [1d20] = 20 Damage [1d8] = 3

"Yeaaaarrrggghhh!" Bronn continues to try and get the zombie's attention as he slashed towards its back. In the gloom, he misjudges the distance and his sword slices through empty air.

Peaches sends another sling stone at the last zombie.

To hit with sling [1d20+2] = 8+2 = 10

Pretty sure that's a miss.

Peaches mumbles something about Claude's spear being in the way, as she reloads the sling for next round.

Grigg

Grigg continues to stuggle against this bloodthirsty foe. Living corpses on a 'meat and greet' welcoming committee to the Barrowmaze is certainly not his thing. Neither apparently is swordplay; sneak up, backstab, run away usually works fine. Trying to stand face to decayed flesh worm wriggling face don't.

To hit d20 = 6

Pyrrhic fires his bow true, hoping to strike down the zombie before it can take another bite out of Bronn. The arrow hits with a satisfying thud but fails to hit anything vital enough to the zombie and therefore stop its rampage. Peaches sends another sling stone at the last zombie but the stone just misses. Peaches mumbles something about Claude's spear being in the way, as she reloads the sling for next round. Milo looks for an opening and launches another arrow at the remaining zombie. His arrow as Pyrrhic's before produces the same satisfying thud of connection but the zombie appears to remain unphased. Simoni again sends a bullet softly floating through the air. As if blessed by St. Ygg itself, the projectile hits the zombie but Simoni is discouraged that the bullet does not finish it off. "Yeaaaarrrggghhh!" Bronn continues to try and get the zombie's attention as he slashed towards its back. In the gloom, he misjudges the distance and his sword slices through empty air. The zombie continues to chew on Grigg's shoulder, continuing to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Zombie attack: [1d20] = 19 Damage [1d8] = 1

Bronn hoists his sword into the air in a lazy arc and brings it scything down onto the top of its shoulder.

Grigg

Grigg remains stubborn in the fight. Despite taking serious hits, he refuses to give ground. His bleeding shoulder and just the dead weight of his foe gripping him throws his sword swing off and another lunge just meets thin air.

"Down! And stay down!" Bronn hoists his sword into the air in a lazy arc and brings it scything down onto the top of its shoulder. He is met with a satisfactory feel of the sword biting deeply into the decayed flesh of the walking cadaver. Grigg remains stubborn in the fight. Despite taking serious hits, he refuses to give ground. His bleeding shoulder and just the dead weight of his foe gripping him throws his sword swing off and another lunge just meets thin air. Milo fires again when he has an opening. "I sure hope the barrows are stocked with extra arrows," he says. "Barrow arrows!" He giggles softly. His laughter increases slightly with the sight of the arrow penetrating the back of the zombie's head and exiting through the front. Simoni looks at his sling with disgust. "I guess we need to do this hard way." He begins to close with the remaining zombie and lifts his mace to swing but checks himself as the creature falls in front of him. Pyrrhic and Peach each ready another salvo of missiles but stop themselves as they realize the battle has finally come to an end.
