Does 6n provide shelter from the ledge/arrows? It appears there may be a rock/column that could prevent the kobold from getting a direct shot.

Sorry for the late response.

You could seek shelter there, yes. However, if Fulp attempts to attack, he will be exposed long enough to be targeted.

Round 1
Sorsha tumbles behind Leliana, ending at up her left flank, and, eyeing a kobold, raises her arm and lets a dagger spin in its direction. "What's goin' on? Is it a fight? Lemme in!" Grim grumbles, forcing his way past Leliana, who, lacking a ranged weapons, steps aside and covers herself with her shield, and Sylvan, who assumes the role of watching the passage through which the group entered. The two kobolds nearest the northern side of the room let loose a volley of arrows... all targeting the rampaging dwarf, who feels the stick of two of them sink into his flesh. Sparrow falls hard to the floor with his hand bleeding profusely. He rolls over and tries to stay as close to the base of the elevated platform as possible. With his back to the wall, he pulls out his net and attempts to toss it blindly up and over the ledge. The kobold nearest to the edge swats the approaching net out of the way with its bow, and the net falls harmlessly back to the ground.

To the south, Fulp quickly moves looks to seek cover in an out-of-range corner, but the kobold taking aim against him is able to strike him once before the safety of coverage can be reached.

In the center of the chamber, Ciar pulls out his sling and fires a bullet at the trio of kobolds; his bullet plunking off the kobold positioned in the middle.

Rolls:
Initiative: Monsters [1d10] = 6, PCs [1d10] = 10
k1 vs Sp (1), Gr (2), So (3), Le (4): [1d4] = 2
k2 vs Sp (1), Gr (2), So (3), Le (4): [1d4] = 2

Initiative Order:
Sorsha: 10+2 = 12
Fulp: 10+3 = 13
Grim: 10+3 = 13
Leliana: 10+3 = 13
Sylvan: 10+3 = 13
Kobolds: 6 + 7 = 13
Ciar: 10+6 = 16
Sparrow: 10+7 = 17
Looking at the map, did a half dozen more kobolds suddenly appear?

Are the kobolds close enough to the edge of the ledge for someone like Fulp to melee with his stick?
If not... he should look to hightail it out of there...

How many exits are there from the room Dave - 1 that the northern group can see (ie the one we came in through - correct?). This will affect Grim's action for this round.

Well, damn.

A few notes:
  • I should probably change the color of the chasm the bridge spans. It has always been black. I've always used black squares to denote enemies on the map. I will need to fix this.
  • The extra bad guys were added to the map and shared with Ciar privately, as he's the only one who spotted them. I forgot to remove them before taking the screen shot of the map to share publicly.
  • Those in the cavern, unless you have infravision and know exactly where to look (you don't), do not see the extra bad guy placements. Please base your actions only on what your character heard Ciar actually say.

Not sure I can utter the words, "Good luck", Dave, but... I hope you have an enjoyable evening tonight at the game.

Post season isn't anything like regular season. Post season doesn't care if you finished the regular season with 100 wins. Post season pits the #1 and #2/#3 teams in MLB against each other in the first round. Shouldn't THAT have been the World Series?

Dave always has a solid fallback with the Blackhawks.

Try being a Blues fan. Or, as we refer to them in STL, the St. Louis Cubs.

hahahahahaha...

Kidding. We'd never refer to anything in STL as "The Cubs".

No, but seriously, they get into post season every year and then play like ass. Every. Year. It gets old. And even though they call it a rivalry, the 4-5 Blues/Hawks games I've been to have all had lots of solid fans on both sides, win or lose. Never a bad time.

Re: Football. I haven't actively/purposefully watched an NFL game in several years. There is way too much "not football" going on between each brief segment of "football" to keep my interest. And a lot of drama, to boot - extracurricular crimes in the off-season, deflated footballs, etc. I think what most people in STL are hoping is that we don't build a new $500m stadium (or whatever unbelievable number it will cost) and the Rams move to CA. We're just fine as a baseball/hockey city, thankyouverymuch. It would be nice to have a solid, well-established team like the Bears, but we lost that when the Cardinals moved to AZ after the 87 season. Don't think we'll ever get it back; we should stop trying.

Anyway... The Cubs are a young team. I'm afraid they'll be back and better next year.

I take offense to this. The Chicago Cubs make the playoffs way too infrequently to make this a viable reference. :(

It was a terrible attempt at humor. I readily admit this. Must be having an off day.

Everyone is dead. Thanks for playing.

Okay, not really. I do need actions from just about everyone, though.

Yes, watching the Cubs get swept into elimination really stung last night, but they still exceeded my expectations this season, and I'm still very high on their future outlook, so, as usual, there's always next year.

My action is in, for the record!

Thanks for not killing us off, Dave.

Er... you're not killing us off, are you?
