"Is it pointing at anything of importance? I do think that smashing them is probably the right idea. It might also be worth checking the base of the table for loose stones or hidey-holes."

Nightsong tries to position himself to see around the others and through the door. He relaxes his grip on his bow and squints in the low light at the skulls on the table. He vaguely recalls tales of ornamental bones and strange witch doctors deep in the swamp some 2 days travel from his forest home. "Just stories" is what he always thought, never really paying them mind. Now he regrets not taking them seriously.

"Dren will check for traps .... Peaches, magical this looks .... be ready to throw your spells if Dren is cursed ....."

With that Dren enters the room, flicking a glance to the ceiling to check for sliding walls like the last one, he then inches forwards slowly to the table, checking for traps.

"You got it, short stuff," says Peaches. She watches Dren, ready to throw a spell if necessary...

Dren cautiously makes his way into the room, making sure there are no sliding wall traps. He moves to the table and cautiously works his way around it, checking for traps. However it seems there are no traps in the room. Or at least nothing seems to have be set off.

Considering the pattern of the skulls for a moment, Dren suggests that someone takes hold of the table carefully and tries to rotate it counter clockwise so that the point of the triangle points in the other direction.

With that, the heads to the opposite wall and begins searching for secret doors.

Bronn clears his throat. "Dren, do the skulls look attached to the table in any way, or are they just sitting there? I'd offer to move the table as you suggest, but if the skulls roll off, it could signal trouble. Perhaps two of us should do it?"

Whispering as he checks the back wall Dren agrees ...

"I know not if they are attached but you speak true friend Bron, well said, two of you should do it"

"Ubrecht...mind giving me a hand moving this table?"

Bronn will wait until the other man is in position, and then begin gingerly rotating the table as directed by Dren.

Pyrrhic grips his spear keeping an eye out for anything that might wander into the room from other parts of the area.

Ubrecht isn't so sure he wants to move the table, but he shrugs and helps Bronn.

Sorry. You guys have gotten a little ahead of me.

As everyone prepares to move the table, Dren feels a rock in the wall slide back in. There is a grinding of stone as a section of the western part of the north wall slides open into the room. There is no light emanating from beyond the newly found opening.

Hissing a warning, Dren steps to one side of the opening and listening for movement from within, fumbles for a torch and Flint & Steel.

"A lock it was not, but a clue it was" he whispers as he strikes the dark stone against the ridged striker.

Bronn once again stands near Dren, sword at the ready, anxious at whatever may soon be illuminated.

Dren's torch cuts through the darkness revealing a 20' long by 10' wide hall. The hall comes to a dead end which seems apropos for the skeleton slumped down against the wall. It wears a dark yellow stripped tunic. In its boney hands it clutches the stub of a torch and in the other a small leather bag.

"Neat!" says Peaches, waiting for someone else to go in the room first.

Pyrrhic maintains watch on the room with the skulls and table, keeping the back part of the group secure.

Dren passes the torch to Peaches, pulls his blade then inches forwards checking for traps.

The skeleton has the appearance of an adventurer and appears to have been trapped here, either by the denizens that the party defeated or by some mechanical trap that proved fatal.

Dren finds no traps as he inches towards the skeleton. As he approaches he sees along its side a slice in the tunic and a maroon discoloration, probably the cause of his demise.

Bronn calls out a warning to Dren. "Cafeful, Dren. How our deceased friend there came to be stuck in this dead end arouses my curiosity." He waggles his eyebrows at his gallows humour. "If you got stuck alongside him, I don't think you would find him to be a scintillating conversationalist."

Bronn edges closer to the opening, but remains wary of actually entering the corridor.
