Oddly, the corpses possess nothing of value except maybe the short swords they bore. However, in front of the fire where they were hooping and hollering as you entered, there is a total of 140 gp scattered about on the ground. There are also 2 dice which have a green gleam to them.

Craw [Fighter - AC 17 - HP 13]

Craw carefully cleans his blade on one of the goblins bodies, then the axe, after having dislodged it from the creature skull.
He raises half a smile seeing the shining gold on the floor, but his attention is then taken by the dice...
to DM: is the gleam a natural one (caused by the fire) or are they actually emanating some kind of light?
to the others: what about the money, should we each keep track of it, or we just share the findings for the time being?

Adrik, grabs up the gold littered on the floor. "No use leaving all these shiny gold coins lay about."

The gleam is a natural one caused by external light on its surface.

"Let us share," Erevan says, looking at the coins. He'll begin picking them up meticulously, arranging them in piles.

Laughing at Erevan's proposed mistrust, Adrik will help split the coins into five piles. "I was not going to steal them my dear friend. Was just tossing them in my sturdy pack to divide when the dangers are less."

We each get 28 gold.

"let's not forget the goblin in the corridor, he may have something too"
Despite his suggestion, Craw moves a couple steps towards the entrance of the north west corridor, bracing his shield and guarding the entrance sword at the ready.

Nothing personal, guys. When deciding Erevan's actions, I keep asking myself, "What would Sheldon Cooper do?" Except that I'm not as clever. ;)

The goblin you confronted in the corridor proves to be as empty pocketed as the rest. The "beds" prove to be nothing more than molding straw, more to rough out the uneven floor than for comfort. A hallway leads out of the room in a north-western direction.

Craw [Fighter - AC 17 - HP 13]

"How.. many each?" Asks Craw with a little anticipation. Then he shudders as if struck by a sudden breeze."Well, we should move on..."
He enters the hallway with caution, just a couple steps and waiting for the others to follow. His eyes shift here and there at the smallest sign of threat.

After the coins are divided, Adrik gathers his gear and moves northward and up the passage. "Come on guys, we got a lot more killing to do."

Content that everyone has their 28 coins, Erevan joins the group in heading northwest.

Torches spaced out along the way provide illumination for you as you move along the rough-hewn hall. After about 50 feet, the hall opens up into a chamber to the left. The hallway itself continues to form an alcove opposite the hallway you are in now. Another hall splits off to the right.

Ardrik & Craw
You both hear the sound of something heavy dropping followed by something grunting and then the noise starts again of something being dropped. The sound is coming from the opening to the left.

Signalling the others to stop, Craw sticks to the left wall and leans to peek into the left room trying not to be seen at the same time...

A horrible stench hits you as you peer into the room. Inside a hulking creature resembling a cross between a goblin and an ogre pulls a large and strange looking beetle from a pen, sets it on a huge press and works a lever. Fluid gushes out of spouts that ring the press as a heavy plate smashes the beetle. The smell gets worse as the fluid collects into waterskins hanging at the end of each spout. You notice the creature is doing everything with his left hand since his right hand is missing. It’s been replaced with the head of a giant mace.

"We need to call the others here. Than we can attack this beast like the goblins...range attacks followed by melee."Waving his hand to the others, Adrik beckons them to approach quietly.

"I could throw an axe and let him come to us. You and the others hide on the door sides and ambush him as he charges for me" whispers Craw to the dwarf. "what do you think?"

Adrik, nods at Craw. "Sounds like a plan. Whatever the heck that creature is it is working for whatever is behind the kidnappings." Laying in wait along side the tunnel Adrik prepares for the assault.

"Wait a minute..." Whispers Craw "Let's have a look into the other room too. It would not be wise to be attacked from both sides"
Moving cautiously across the hallway, he leans against the right wall and takes a peek into the other room.

Sorry folks. No computer access over the weekend.

Erevan sticks out his tongue in disgust at the sight of the pressed beetle. "Craw's right," the elf whispers. Let's check across the hall. He follows, putting his elven senses to work.
