Iluq checks the bedroom and the adjacent sitting room before addressing the group, "For now we should move on, let us continue on before those wraiths come for us again."
Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.

Fendt checks the room that had the dead paladin's remains in it as well as all of his equipment that was not taken.

Bragar will move with Fendt to help with Paladins body. Once you are done checking him we need to move his body into the fireplace. He explains to Fendt. Has is body been blessed?

Fendt "You and I are on the same terms. Everything from the fallen paladin is gone as well as his remains. I told you we should burn the remains. I don't like this one bit."

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Are ye surprised? Someone had to close the doors behind us. Tumbler is angry that he didnt get around to burning the body of his friend and his face flushes with shame. He mutters an angry curse before drawing his dagger and moving to the door. He will carefully listen to hear for any noise outside of it before looking for any trap and carefully opening it.

Was there more then one way our. I forgot!
Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Yup. There's a map of the current floor here: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=3741&start=20#p153011
Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
To summarize the obvious exits from this level:
- The north tower (the big one), which you descended to reach this level, also continues downward.
- There are stairs that spiral down just off the study. Zombies came up those stairs what seems like a lifetime ago.
- A set of stairs leads down past the hall of statues. You have not been down that hall.
- Another spiral stair leads up and down in the southeast area of the floor. You climbed those stairs from the entry level.
Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Melampus suggests that the party check out the hall of statues.
Thank you, DM. That's helpful.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
If nothing has been moved and there are no scuff and drag marks across the floor, Agrippo will reason that Vorkath has been carried away, perhaps by servants of Strahd. wandering ghoulies and zombies he thinks they would just see the body as a meaty feast and scoff him where he lay so he counts that out. Agrippo will lead the way if need be stepping out onto the walkway and balcony leading down the steps to this hall of heroes.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Tib leads the way through the north door and turns right down the hall of heroes. He investigates the first pair of statues and, if he doesn't die, he looks at all the rest, making his way towards the steps down.
We need to find Strahd before we all end up like Vorkath.

Agrippo and Tibbius lead the way into what Gertruda called the "Hall of Heroes."
Long, low moans drift down from the alcoves that line the walls of this long hall. The ceiling has fallen here, leaving rubble strewn across the floor. Overhead, the beams of Ravenloft's roof are exposed. Cold rain falls on you through the open roof. A graven statue stands within each of the ten alcoves. Your bright lights reveal their faces, formed in the shapes of terrified men and women.
Passing by the statues, you proceed down the stairs. The staircase descends 10' to a landing, then turns east and descends another 30', opening into a short hallway. In contrast to the grand corridors and chambers you have seen so far, this one is quite plain, with bare stone walls and a worn wooden floor. A single door appears in the west wall.
Near the end of the stairs, the Sunsword flares up. Iluq, already squinting in the assorted magical lights, flinches.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Can we hear anything moving or approaching? Seeing the sunsword shimmer Castran apologises and draws his Shortsword and a hand axe and prepares once more for battle.
Greys Campaign.
Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
No. All you hear is rain against the side of the castle and the occasional howl of a wolf in the distance.
Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Castran will encourage Tumbler to check the corridor and door for traps if he is willing. He will keep and eye out on the stairwell behind the companions incase anything is approaching from our rear
