The Wendall will agree but he seems a little crabby about the way we just left the tower and came back like that without actually doing anything. And what about that treaty? Weren't we gonna read that before we presented it to Mr M?

If this is cool with everyone, I will update my sheet tomorrow.......I'm beat!

The characters involved with Bertram's expedition have the unenviable task of splitting up the following loot:
3 dwarf-make shortswords (42xp)
Magical dagger (2500xp)
Magical chain mail (1000xp)
Golden ruby ring (250xp)
321 gp in loose coin (321 xp) - 253 gp from the dwarf corpse, 41 gp from the first wave of goblins, 27 gp from the second wave
1 potion (75xp)

Not mentioned in the Expedition round-up, I think we also have:
A single gnot of raw gold the size of a knuckle (5 gp)
10 Platinum pieces from the Dwarf Thane

I am not usually one to divvy up the loot, but I'll give it first crack. I think everybody should be allowed some coinage to pay for costs of living, so I have divided the loot into six parcels below. This is only a rough draft, so if we want to argue about it, now is the time.

1) Magical Dagger & 10 gp
2) Chainmail +1 & 15 gp
3) Ruby Ring & 30 gp
4) Unidentified Potion & 35 gp & one dwarven shortsword
5) 168 gold pieces & one dwarven shortsword
6) 163 gold pieces and a raw gnot of gold. & one dwarven shortsword

Any adjustments need to be made to this list?

Abi is interested in either #5 or #6 (prefer #6) if we spit everything like this.

I apologize! I forgot about the knot of gold indeed. 1 more xp for everyone (no xp for fees and rewards).

I am interested in all of these splits, in the order listed. I will defer to Bertram in all cases (I think he deserves whatever pick he wants for risking his life to retrieve the loot in Stirge Chasm).

If there's more than one person interested in the dagger, should we just roll 1d20 and high roll gets it?

If it comes down to it, I think that is an agreeable solution. Let's wait for the others to chime in.

I could go for any of those (not sure if the chainmail would fit Largo, though)

If I had to pick one I'd go for #4

I'd prefer 5 or 6, but if Abi prefers 6 I'll prefer 5.

the chainmail would not fit Largo, just to clarify.

Human and Elf can wear any type of armor interchangeably.

Dwarves can share armor size for chain and scale only, and the rest are specific to dwarves.

Halflings have their own size of every armor.

You can pick #1, throw dice for it with me (and whoever else), and if you lose, still go for #4.

I don't want to scare off people from #1 just because I said I wanted it first.

Alright, then. I'll try my hand at the dagger, then #4 (and we can roll for 4 if anyone else wants that).

6) 163 gold pieces and a raw gnot of gold. & one dwarven shortsword

Any adjustments need to be made to this list?
Questions:
1.) Can that ring be sold or otherwise converted into cash, with no loss of value?
2.) Do those dwarven swords have any special qualities, other than good craftsmanship (mainly, any advantage in to-hit/damage)?

Assuming that the ruby ring is worth 250 gp, I believe parcel #3 is getting a bulge in total loot; if this is unavoidable, okay, but if we can liquidate it that would sit better with me.
Also, I feel whoever gets the potion should get a bigger share of cash; not only is it a one-shot item, but we're not even sure what it does. For all we know it's poison.

Selling the ring would increase the 'loose cash' from 321 to 571. If the ring can be sold, I would like to amend as follows:

1.) Dagger + 10 gp
2.) Chainmail + 15 gp
3.) Potion + 95 gp
4.) Knot of gold, dwarven sword + 172
5.) Dwarven sword + 177
6.) Dwarven sword + 177

Thoughts?

Hmm, I'm kinda wondering about that potion now, but am also curious about dwarven shortsword properties before I decide.

1. The ring is sellable for 250gp on its face, even without special properties. Should it have some, it would likely be worth more if you could find a buyer for its "true price".

2. The dwarven shortswords, after swinging them around a bit, do not seem to have any unusual combat-recordable properties.

Keehnelf, what was the cash value of the dwarven shortswords? I can't find the post where my old party sold them...

Oh, I didn't even consider the possibility the ring might be magical...lets try to get a detect magic. Does anyone in our band know it?
