Gawain: Swings his longsword, hoping to strike the zombie again but the blade twists in his hand as it connects with the zombie's shoulder blade. To Hit: [1d20+1] = 3+1 = 4 Damage: [1d8] = 1
Hedric: Pulls an oil flask out of his pack, ready to use as an IFD if any of the zombies break through the line.
Marcus: Fires a third arrow and watches as it seems to zip past the zombies only to have a errant gust of wind nudge it back on a true flight path and impale the zombie in its shoulder. 6 damage to #1
Mortiganto: "NOOooo! This all went wrong much faster than I thought! Die! DIE! DIEEE!" Mortiganto's frenzied hacking lands squarely on the zombie. 6 damage to #2
Pyrrhic: Swings his sword mightily at the zombie in front of him, cleaving the beast in two. 6 damage to #1
Uto: Holds his position, waiting to fill the ranks should someone have to back out.
Zombies
Zombie #1: Deceased (again)
Zombie #2: Reeling from the hacking of Mortiganto, the zombie swipes back but it far from its target
Zombie #3: Shambles forward trying to get through the throng
Zombie #4: Shambles forward taking the place of Zombie #1
Feeling better, after seeing the zombie coming his way, fall, Marcus lets loose yet another arrow at the nearest creature.

[1d8] = 6 damage (not sure how you want the critical hit to be rolled. I just rolled base damage....please adjust accordingly

Gawain will continue to hack into the flanks of the zombies. He tries to calm his heart and focus on his breathing like the swordmaster amongst his people taught him, and focus his blows with greater precision.
Players:
Dren: Striking from the shadows, Dren leaps at the shambling creature before him, catching it completely unaware. 10 damage to #4
Gawain: Gawain will continue to hack into the flanks of the zombies. He tries to calm his heart and focus on his breathing like the swordmaster amongst his people taught him, and focus his blows with greater precision. The strike should have been true but the zombie lurches at the last moment as the blade slices the air.
Hedric: Pulls an oil flask out of his pack, ready to use as an IFD if any of the zombies break through the line.
Marcus: Feeling better, after seeing the zombie coming his way, fall, Marcus lets loose yet another arrow at the nearest creature, felling the horrible imitation of life. 6 damage to #4
Mortiganto: Getting desperate, Mortiganto continues to frantically hack at the abomination in front of him.3 damage to #2
Pyrrhic: Empowered by striking down one of the monsters, tightens his stance blocking off the zombies from reaching the rest of his party. He strikes forward with a mighty blow, hoping to end another of the beasts but his swing goes wide.
Uto: Holds his position, waiting to fill the ranks should someone have to back out.

Zombie #1: Deceased (again)
Zombie #2: Reeling from the hacking of Mortiganto, the zombie swipes at Mortiganto again but it is still far from its target
Zombie #3: Shambles forward trying to get through the throng of bodies. He takes the place of Zombies #1 and 4, however due to the corpses on the ground, he is -2 AC and -2 attack
Zombie #4: Deceased (again)
[1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20 to hit

I play that a critical only occurs on a natural 20.

Seeing the corpse getting tangled up in the bodies of the fallen beasts, Pyrrhic strikes out at it hoping for an easy kill.
The blade feels uneasy in his hand. Perhaps these unholy beasts have cursed him. Their unlife causing him to forget his training and fight no better than a boy conscript.

Dren: Wrenching his blade from the now still corpse with a wet sucking sound, Dren whirls to attack the creature that is clambering over it's now still body but the stenching slippery ichor that now coats his blade almost makes it slip from his hand and the chance to strike is lost.

Mortiganto: "Gah! If only... I were... left-handed", Mortiganto pants as he keeps chopping at the zombie, felling it as if it were a very stout tree. 7 damage to #2

Gawain: Gawain steps forward and delivers a well placed thrust of his sword to the belly of the zombie, ichor spilling about the hallway. 5 damage to #3
Hedric: Hedric continues to hold his oil flask and torch at the ready, not willing to wade into whirling blades or flying arrows as the rest of the party continues their grisly work.
Marcus: Marcus fires his fourth arrow, watching it fly past the zombie and disappear in the darkness.
