Re: Queen Regeina's Ethical Philosophers Depart.
Sanu just took a huge slashing across his thigh and calf; and he feels the wounds, exposed to the air, immediately start to burn. His entire body tenses and flows with adrenaline. He feels the pressure in this moment of truth. Hoooooooo!
Attack: [1d20+4] = 1+4 = 5 Dmg: [1d8+4] = 1+4 = 5
[1d100] = 14
Sanu gasps in pain. As he leans toward his enemy to attack, his horse bucks to the side; and his battle axe clunks out of his hand and squishes into some muddy turf. He panicks as he regains his balance. Realizing his death may jeopardize the fate of the realm, Sanu looks for anywhere he can ride himself into a defensive position and draw his bow. He sees a confused group of 4 unmounted horses just behind the Plated Knight he was attacking. Sanu decides to ride himself into the middle of them. He will draw his bow if he makes it there unattacked...dagger if attacked.

Fighting Philosophers round 2

Regenia's hired help knows how to whoop some ass.
The soldiers fight back with desperation, half of their ranks either dead or asleep.
The Knight again attacks Sanu whose axe bit him moments ago. The knight's sword gashes Sanu's shoulder deeply (-16hp). Sanu, whose axe was raised for attack, looses his weapon. The Barbarian attempts to ride out of the fight but slumps off his horse, onto the ground, bloody and lifeless. (Sanu at -3 hp)
Calen presses the knight but can not avenge Sanu -- both attacks fail to do damage.
Soldier #4 goes to his boss' aid attacking Calen, pointlessly.
Svent's hands fire bolts of energy which strike the knight in the chest. He grunts in pain.
Garrett charges the mounted elf #8 who gets off a shot before Garrett is too close. An arrow narrowly misses the rouge. Garrett's sword smashes saddle and scores no elf flesh.
Titus charges the elf #8 from the other flank and after missing with a spear thrust, Titus penetrates the elf deeply pitching him off of his horse -- ending his life.
Baruch enters the fight with the knight but can not score a hit.
Montego goes toe to toe with a soldier (#5) but both pugilists are ineffective and can not harm each other.
The philosophers have only 3 opponents standing. If they could run they would. Sanu needs help, fast.
ACTIONS!!! for round 3

Calen smiles even more under his helm, the odds against him are worse and his own companion was struck down. He revels in the fight as he feels more alive; He strikes out once again at the Knight, looking to cleave him off his horse.
Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.

Titus will round his horse again, and aim in the direction of the knight who took down Sanu.
Attack with Spear: [1d20+3] = 5+3 = 8 +1 for the bless spell, but still a miss.

Baruch hums "If I had a hammer....hey! I do!" and bashes the same knight again
Hammer to hit: [1d20+1] = 14+1 = 15, add Bless +1 = 16, damage vs S/M opp: [1d4+2] = 1+2 = 3 / damage vs L opp: [1d4+1] = 3+1 = 4
then shouts to Sanu "Gulp a potion, mate - be with you in a minute"

eh I just realised that. Just remembered we were handed healing potions before and was hoping he could gulp his one before Baruch gives some CLW, hence edited post
Re: Queen Regeina's Ethical Philosophers Depart.
If Sanu didn't have a healing potion, or was too weak to drink it, next round's action from Baruch will be to dash over to Sanu and cast cure light wounds if timing allows

You said there were two elves so when did both die? I was dealing with one and someone else killed the other so why was I not told this way back when I attacked?

7 and 8 were elves, 7 was killed in round 1. You and Titus ganged up on #8 and Titius skewered him in round 2.GreyWolfVT wrote:You said there were two elves so when did both die? I was dealing with one and someone else killed the other so why was I not told this way back when I attacked?
K 4 and 5 are fighting still. Feel free to take action -- all within range for attack this round.

alrighty then...
Garrett will if he is close enough throw a couple daggers at the nearest evil "bastard" impostor.
Dagger[1d20] = 13 Dmg[1d4] = 4 Lrg Dmg[1d3] = 3

Doh! forgot about Svent
Svent will ride up with his staff and attack the nearest evil person.

Montego will attempt another miss on #5.
Re: Queen Regeina's Ethical Philosophers Depart.
Fighting Philosophers round 3
Titus, Baruch and Calen combine to outflank the knight. The knight squares up against Calen, only to be thumped by Baruch on his right flank. Titus' blow is parried. The knight lashes out at Calen ineptly and is rewarded for his efforts by a Calen dealt death blow. Calen's halberd opens a seam in the plate mail and the knight is pitched to the ground in a bloody heap.
Garrett chucks a dagger into the back of a soldier (#5) who is then cut down by Montego.
Garrett sinks a dagger into the last standing man (#4) as Svent rushes into the fight, staff swinging.
The last opponent (#4) is overwhelmed and attempts to flee but is hemmed in. In a panic, he tries to crash his horse through the crowd. Then throws up his arms in surrender.
The imposter knight has been defeated.

Four of the enemy lie sleeping.
Sanu dreams of navigating the River Styx.
