"I will go. Seems it is not like the other portal we have seen." Mason ties off as well, just in case and steps through the rabbit hole.

Mason and Abrex ties off on Abrex's rope and leave one end with Elsa. Mason crawls in first, with Abrex just behind. Everyone else sees them disappear.
PM forthcoming.

Abrex says to Mason, "Do you have any rope we can add to give us more length? If not I'll untie and go back and have them add on two more lengths of 50 ft rope giving us 100 extra feet of rope assuming they have it. Give me a few minutes to secure it and I'll return to assist you."
Abrex says to the others, "It's seems clear for 50 feet or so. Can you add 2 more lengths of rope? IF they have it great and if not he says everyone move into the tunnel to where we are and that will give us extra length from there. If I pull 3 times it means we are in trouble. If I pull once it means add more rope. If I pull twice it means come on through."

Elsa, while she borrowed a grappling hook, has her own rope which she was using. So that 50' should be added to other characters' rope for the total length.

With the extra 50', Elsa still feels the rope reach the end of its run, just 50' later.
PM on its way.

Abrex tugs on the rope twice to tell the others to advance up to their locations. Abrex then motions for Mason to continue on slowly as the others catch up not wanting to have too much weight in on spot.
Once they catch up a ways he tells them quietly, "Don't bunch up keeps some spacing to minimize any stress on the tunnel."
He whistles for Ula to move up as well.

Xale will offer his 50 feet of rope as well; if more is required and will follow the party in line....

Eduardo will brace himself and feed out Abrex's rope as the others advance. If it starts running through his hands quickly, like someone is careening headlong into a spiky pit, he'll cinch it up and pull. "Elsa, you seem, well, really... awfully strong. Perhaps you'll secure the other one?"

You delve deeper into the narrow tunnel. Mason and Abrex lead the way, tied to the front end of a rope that is now 150' in length with Xale's contribution. But even that is not enough to reach the end of the tunnel. Abrex, at the end of his rope (and Elsa's and Xale's), tugs twice, signaling the others to follow.
Will the rest of you enter?

Elsa takes a firm grip on the end of the rope and climbs inside the tunnel. She'll have her trident free, hoping to use it if necessary as a crossbar to prevent falling into a pit, or crushing walls, or other paranoid images of death.

Elsa crawls in after Mason and Abrex, holding the rope in one hand and her trident in the other. After she travels about 60', which includes two turns in the tunnel, the rope gains more slack. It seems the monk and the Ranger/Mage have found something.
PM to Cwreando and Nuke66 coming.

Xale will indeed follow his companions in; slinging his shield over his shoulder and holding the rope with one hand and his trusty hammer in the other....

Mason retreats...
"It's a dead end, nothing there but stone. Any other suggestions?" he says as he approaches Elsa

"Hmm, odd. No secret doors I take it?" wonders Elsa aloud to Mason. "It seems a lot of trouble for a dead end. Do one of our spell casters have some ability to pass through walls?" she half jokes.

Worren
"Well, if there was any idea where we would be passing through to, it might be worth a chance. But surely there's something we're missing, it can't rely on that sort of spell to be solved, no?"

Eduardo follows the others to meet up with Elsa and Mason. After hearing about the dead end he says, "It does seem like a waste of a tunnel. No secret door. Not even a trap. Ah, well. I certainly can't be of aid in such matters. Shall we exit and try another circle? Or the misty door?"

Abrex checks for a secret door. He takes out some string and holds it near the edges of the tunnel wall seeing if a draft is present at the seems. He also attempts to disbelieve that the wall is real. If he finds something he says, "Hang on folks I have some thing here. If they fail he agrees and backs out of the tunnel and says, "Well what's next?"

Abrex also finds no secret door. But even in the best of conditions, his chances of finding a secret door would be only about one in six.

Xale attempts to shuffle his way up to the end of the tunnel and will attempt to utilize his dwarven abilities to see if there is any strange stonework or the like in the area while also tapping and searching for secret doors along the side walls; the back wall and the floor and ceiling (if he can reach it)....
