You hear a slight buzzing in your ear; it sounds something like, "Don't forget the incapacitated!"

Ewell swats near his ear, hoping to kill an annoying gnat.Alethan wrote:You hear a slight buzzing in your ear; it sounds something like, "Don't forget the incapacitated!"
He looks around and mentions,
Hey, someone needs to carry the weakling peasant,... and I'll carry Darrin.
sorry, couldnt resist...

Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
Grimnail finally rouses from his all too short slumber to see the party grabbing gear and beating feet. He scoops up the ranger and lugs him in a fireman carry.
"What be dis now?" he says sniffing burnt goblin in the air.
"More lizzies or did da cook burn supper?"

"Recon....Nefar.." Grim shakes his head and lugs the ranger along best he can.
"What da blazes be a Reconafarotent? he shouts following gazes to the cliff top.

The word rings in the sleeping hobbit's ear. Supper. Supper. Supper. Eventually he wakes and says it. "Supper?"tooleychris wrote: "More lizzies or did da cook burn supper?"
Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
Their refreshing rest interrupted, Ewell, Kaltar, O'rek and Strom begin to quickly don any armor previously removed. Grimnail finally rouses from his all too short slumber to witness the party grabbing gear and beating feet. "What be dis now?" he asks, sniffing burnt goblin in the air. "More lizzies, or did da cook burn supper?"
"The advantage of the high ground makes this spot undefendable." Strom states. "Hug the wall," instructs Epsilon. "Make it more difficult for them to fire straight down on us." the cleric continues. With it being a quick and simple strategy to implement, and with the unconscious forms of Darrin and Gwillt already in place, he group responds by packing in tight against the cliff wall.
A voice from above calls out: "Hello!"

Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
The head ducks behind the cliff for a minute, then reappears. "Well met! I am Kendrick Llewellyn, Sword and Shield of the Congregation of Avatars! Call me Ken! My intentions are peaceful, but a cliff's height is no distance for a conversation! May I come down and join you?"
Is there enough rope left to climb down, or does Kendrick need to find another route?

Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
You'd have a short drop at the end of the length of rope, but you should be able to do it easily enough.Zhym wrote:Is there enough rope left to climb down, or does Kendrick need to find another route?

Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
O'rek chuckles to himself as he dons his armor, "My, more visitors! At least it ain't more of them smelly buggers, eh? Did any of you catch his name? It was such a long one, I didn't quite hear it all. Or was it a bunch of people he was introducing? Ken and Lew and Ellen? Well, more the merrier if he's a friendly chap - more help to maybe fight 'dem trogs!"
Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
Aw, man. I meant to include that. Editing...
Re: 18. Leaving the Lair
Anyone near Gwillt sees him quietly thrash his head and shoulders from side to side. He mumbles, "No... no... by the gods... no, not more of them! They're everywhere!"

Kendrick climbs down the rope.

Still a bit on edge, the cook surveys the area once more for any hostiles, goblins specifically. Once he finds the area safe, he will resume preparing the meal he was going to make with his ingredients.
