NJWilliam, your Fighter/Thief is now a level 2 fighter/ level 4 thief. Upon hitting level 4 in the thief class, you are entitled to a new weapon proficiency.

Changed to level 3 thief.

Gustov will also need to roll for some new hitpoints for his thief class specifically, d6. Once you get the result for that, divide it by two and you've got your additional hitpoints. This is typical for any multi-class character. Once your fighter level goes up, you will roll a d10 instead, taking into consideration any constitution bonuses of course, and then divide by two as well.

Got your message NJWiliam, and I apologize for the mistake. I was looking at the wrong set of numbers. You are indeed a level 3 thief, so forget about the new weapon proficiency for now, but still roll for your new hitpoints as a thief and follow the instructions for multi-class.

The treasure and experience point threads have been both updated. Please place your new hit point rolls here and I will update the hit point sheet accordingly, thanks! Please also take note of the message I left in the treasure thread regarding the hit point rolls everyone missed. I gave you guys the appropriate roll to use as a macro to reflect both the new level up roll and the previously missed rolls. Basically every person will be rolling their new points with 7d then whatever die number is associated with your class. I apologize for the inconvenience and not noticing this sooner!

Not exactly sure what this is for but:
D10 [7d10] = 37

If CON played a roll then 37(+1 per die?)

I'm not clear on the HP rolls for Gustov.

He was a fighter/thief level 2/3, he is now level 4/4.

I would think his new hp would be 2 levels for fighter, divided by two since he is multi-class: 2d10/2
and hit points for one level as a thief, divided by two since he is multi-class: 1d6/2

So his roll for new hp as I calculate it would be 2d10/2 + 1d6/2.

CON bonus would be correct. The reason why its 7d10 right now for fighters instead of a 4d10 for hitting level 4 is because when we leveled up your characters previously, we didn't take into consideration the extra hit dice needed for each roll for each consecutive level. So I wrapped up all the loose ends in this one. You with me all of this?

The same can be said for the other classes when rolling hit points. The hit dice went up each consecutive level up, but I've only been having you guys roll one die each time. So for fighters it should be 8d10, 8d10/2 if multi classing.

Here is how I broke things down for your character. He was a level 2 fighter with experience of 3428 out of 4250. With the experience reward of 13118 (produced with bonus modifier from appropriate Dex and ect.), I divided by two as the rules layed out in the OSRIC manual and got 6559. Your fighter multi-class part got 6559 added to your pre-existing 3428. This brings you up two levels in the fighter chart, with a new experience score of 9987 out of 16000.

Now getting back to the hit dice for rolling for hit points, here is how I worked that out. Upon hitting level two, the OSRIC fighter chart states that you needed to roll two d10's for your hit points; I only had everyone roll one, my mistake there. So, with your character going up two levels on the fighter branch, I took the missing 1d10 roll and added on the rolls you would have made for level 3 (3d10), bringing it to 4d10. Upon hitting level 4 as a fighter, you would normally roll 4d10, so I added that on to the other 4d10 and.... it should have been 8d10, not 7d10. OOPS! My bad everyone, I just realized as I was typing this that you all will need to roll another hit die for your character class.

Using the newly corrected 8d10 as your roll for fighter hit points, you will divide the result by 2 as per rules of multi classing and round up. Now you have one half of your hit points complete. The process will be repeated for the thief part of your character with an 7d6, because your thief was indeed already level 3. Once you have those two totals, the fighter and thief half, add those up and you have your hit points.

Your original roll would have been accurate though, lost hit die rolls aside. The formula would have been 2d10/2 + 1d6/2. But I didn't want you guys to skip out on the previously lost hit points, so your new formula would look something like this: 8d10/2 + 7d6/2

I edited the rolls displayed on the treasure and experience thread to reflect the missing hit die I didn't take into consideration. The rolls on their should now be accurate to use.

So Flynn, being a 4th level fighter should have 10+1 HPs at level one(Max+con)
Gaining 3 levels allows for 3d10 additional HPs.
New HPs [3d10] = 21+3 con
=35

I dont think that is correct...
I think at 3rd level, the total dice should be 3dX, not 1dx for first plus 2dx for 2nd and 3dx for 3rds, equally 6dX total...

Well... wasn't this just all a big mess  Thanks guys for showing me the proper interpretation of the hit die values in that level up chart. I was starting to think myself that those huge hit point boosts were a bit fishy! Once I sort everything out on my end, I will provide an update with the correct rolls for those who were thoroughly confused by me. Luckily, the HP thread is still untouched in regards to the treasure room.

Last time I do an update when I'm half-awake.... *cough* OKAY. Here is the actual hit die formulas for everyone's level up. This time I'm sure its accurate.

Deceidon went up two levels as a fighter and thief, so he will be rolling [2d10/2 + 2d6/2]

Gustov went up two levels as a fighter and one level as a thief, so he will be rolling [2d10/2 + 1d6/2]

Whitsell went up two levels as a fighter and cleric, so he will be rolling [(2d10+2)/2 + (2d8+2)/2] The +2 on each is due to his CON modifier.

Flynn went up two levels as a fighter, so he will be rolling [2d10+1] The +1 is due to his CON modifier.

Does this look about right?

11 more HP total. Deceidon (or anyone?) wouldn't drink potions suspected of being magical, but I will take one red liquid vial to barter with Matkinson the alleged magician, who we should question in pursuit of the rogue mage and crystal ball. Otherwise, he'll take his share of jewels and gold. And replenish his quiver of arrows with all those bandit arrows. The rest we return to the town, whose good will Deceidon intends on leveraging.
