Eljay assumes point once again heading north to the bosses.

"Let's get moving." she states as she begins, spear at the ready.

Day 1– In the complex – 11:17 a
The Slave Pits

.

Making a decision to continue on, the party train moves. Keeping as quiet as you can with 13 slaves behind you, the party creeps northward. The passageway starts to curve west and then Eljayess stops the party. She sees some light up ahead. She listens for a bit, but there are still scufflings and murmurings among the slaves, it’s hard to tell if there’s anything up there. There is definitely nothing loud, or big moving around as you don’t hear anything, or see shadows moving through the light.

Put a red X on the map to denote where you are. You have only Phanstern’s lantern as a light source (I believe) at this point, but it isn’t likely that it has given you away as the light source up ahead seems pretty strong.

Blodgett quietly sheathes his short sword, gulps hard, and says with a slight squeak 'I will' He quietly yet as swiftly as he can, moves forward, staying hidden in the shadows as much as possible. He'll move as far as he can to get a peek around the corner.

Phanstern lowers his lantern to keep light to a minimum, yet allowing enough for Blodgett to see. He will also indicate the slaves should be silent.

Blodgett returns, and motions to huddle up as much as possible. He stands in the middle of the group, and says:

The tunnel gets a little narrower, so's to be sure we could only go single file. The tunnel ends, and there's a ladder down onto an alcove next to a circular room. On the alcove, which was hard to see to not risk exposing myself, was crates and barrels of supplies, and a man sitting at a table, fiddling with paper work. In the circular area there's a moat of stinky sewage surrounding a platform in the center. Along the outer wall of the circular area, there is a three foot ledge connected to the platform by three arched bridges that go over the sewage. On this ledge I counted ten orcses... burly guard types, with crossbows. They seem to be interested in a staircase that leads down from a door opposite the tunnel, onto the center platform. The circular area is about 50 feet in diameter, with the center platform being about 30 feet.

Oh and the human I told you about? He's got five weasely looking pets and wears leather armor and has a sword. He lookeses kind of important, doing his paperwork and all.

Blodgett looks visibly worried, and then says I'm hungry.

Eljay listens to the little one. Mulling it over in her mind, she suggests "Perhaps laying a trap is a good option here."

Phanstern closes his eyes tight and mumblingly repeats Blodgett's exact words, a foul grimace growing the whole while. There is no good way to do this, he finally says above a whisper. Only a few bad ways. A trap, or ruse, yes, but what bait?

Ogre does not participate in the strategy talks; he just waits with his hand flexing around his sword hilt....better to let the brains figure out the plan; he was there to execute the results....

Invisbility! Sleep! Kayen you are a genius! The Illusionist's eyes grow serious again. But what of the "Weasely looking pets" you described, Master Blodgett? Weasels have distinctively powerful olfactory capabilities, and their hearing is acute also. Could you draw a crude diagram of this place you saw?

Ron, approx. how long have we been in this place? Will we suffer from hunger soon?

About 11 hours, so yes you are hungry, but running on adrenalin. I think we stipulated some food a bit back because the pre-gens didn't come with any, but I figure you have at least a days worth each.

Hard stone. No diagrams can be made that way.
