Galreth gives a slight nod to a superior and takes the seat.

"Invoker, eerr, Deason Jorge, first off your Acolyte Rowen was in a stressful situation that she was not ready for. hurt people, a tripped trap, chaos and people shouting, I suspect she was distracted. Anyway I suspect she is more overwhelmed than losing or angering any connection to Ord.
Anyway we have found a original authentic sanctified relief of Ord, an artifact that divinely radiates the feeling of Ord. If you look in the book 'The Reliquary Etched: Iconography of the Sacred Wall' you will see what I am talking about. If you are interested, I could offer our group to lead one of you down to authenticate and assist in bringing it back for your temple. IF you are interested, Deacon, we can talk about price."

Deacon Jorge is interested, but doesn't seem to like Galreth much. Whether he senses his fall from the Order, or just doesn't like his ripe from the sewers smell you can't tell, but you can tell he finds your presence somewhat distastful.

From the description Galreth provides Deacon Jorge names the artifact "The Eye of Ord." He agrees it should be removed from where it is and brought to the Temple and he does want you to lead him to it.

There is much negotiation, back and forth as to a fair price for your assistance. You start high and he starts at zero...with a promise of future goodwill. The two of you go back and forth, finally hitting a number of gold and services that you think is the best you get from.

The Temple will award you 39 gold pieces, 2 free healing treatments, and 1 remove disease if you lead him to this Eye of Ord. He adds drolly, if you don't take it, he will have Rowen lead him and his Priestly guard to it instead, and you can just kick rocks.

He names a date, 5 days away as the Temple must prepare for the artifact's arrival and resanctification. He expects an escort of, no less than, 4 armed Acolytes from the Temple to accompany him, and for Galreth and any others of his party to simple be the guides to The Eye's location. The Priests will retrieval of the item, just retrieve The Eye and return to the Temple, nothing else!

While Galreth is negotiating at The Temple of Ord the rest of the party returns to The Guild Hall.

Pushing the door open rings a bell, and those entering see the Guild Master and four new faces turn toward them. The newcomers appear to have just had the Welcome to the Guild speech from Master Sikes and from the packs and bags of belongings they have on them haven't gotten settled here in the Hall yet.

New folks, describe what the people arriving see, ie: what your PC's look like.

Those inside the Guild Hall turn at the sound of the bell on the door and see seven figures enter. First impressions are these folks have "ridden hard and been put away wet" for they and their clothing are both dirty and smelly. They all look excited and happy, though, so whatever adventure they are returning from must have been successful.

Old folks, describe what the people inside see, ie: what your PC's look like.

Okay, now free for all! Get to know each other. Show them the large common room upstairs and the "cells" surrounding it where the Guild Members have beds and small private chests. Go into the Trident and Shield and have an ale and a meal. Visit the Bath House and get cleaned up. Start making plans for your evening of Carousing to come!

I really do expect a thread dealing with an epic night or three of Carousing coming up soon, and everyone is eligible for this round of Carousing...even the new members as they had an adventure just getting to Slateholm aboard that damn ship! If so, I will need details of who is participating and how much gold each participate is chipping in so we can do some rolls on Carousing Event Tables....and come up with some entertaining narratives, at least, some of you. For others it might end up being a blackout night and you won't discover what devilment you got up to until the ale and money run out.

One of the newcomers is a slight woman with short dark hair and light blue eyes. She wears a plain sleeveless dress held up by straps over her shoulders that exposes much of her shoulders and all of her arms. Her arms and upper body are covered in elaborate, abstract black tattoos that almost seem to writhe when someone sees her out of the corner of their eye. On her neck is a single tattoo that mimics a choker, with Madeera's holy symbol in the middle. She watches the newcomers come in then shyly dips her gaze as if afraid to be caught looking.

(Tinu)

Tinu steps into the Guild Hall and looks over the newcomers. Her pointed ears, braided white hair, chestnut coloring, and a slender form all speak to her elvish heritage. She is dressed in a travelers shirt and breeches in green and brown, with a chain shirt and crossed baldrics for her long sword and her quiver. A hunter's cloak and boots, along with her weapons, mark her as a ranger.

Ferd Hardbottle stands to about Tinu's hip, the young Robin another younger hobbit at his side. He has an easy, road-travelled, comfort in his canvas and leather clothes. A crossbow rests on his shoulder, a strange combination of strings and wood that also strums like a lute. His voice is both smooth and rough, like whiskey.

"Welcome!" he tells the newcomers, throwing his arms wide. "There's opportunity enough for you all, long as the duke gets his bite. Our tales will be sung for generations. "

A confident and comely human female wearing figure fitting leathers with formed cuir bouilli armour on top enters the Guild Hall and sniffs "Ohh, it's followed us in here - by the Nine it's us!" She cautions the two tall bowmen with her "If either of you trail any more of it inside the Guild Master should have you barred! Wait - I'll fetch the barrow!" It seems the trio are all missile armed she herself favouring a light crossbow.

A robust wheel barrow is fetched within and Vesper removes her armour and boots (first removing heavily reinforced lower leg armour) placing all in the hand cart. She retrieves a long fighting dagger and belts it over the long cotton overshirt which, together with her hose, now remains as her (somewhat immodest) covering.

To her comrades she cheerfully announces "Better but still not clean. I need a jug of wine and a bath!" she re-thinks and smiles "Maybe a bath of wine... and a jug to drink it with?"

Noting the Hall's occupants she purrs "Guild Master Sikes... always a pleasure" and drops a curtsey that somehow manages to simultaneously distract by manner of cleavage and leg yet not quite allow for too much of a study of either.

Seeing new arrivals she smiles cheerfully "Well met new Members of the Guild! Today and for a while I am Vesper Hush and, though some of us smell worse than others, my good comrades here return to our Hall with purses straining with gold. So, tonight we drink! Join us and welcome".

Robin, another halfling chimes in from behind Ferd. He is younger and less weatherbeaten than his fellow but no less welcoming and easy-going. Robin has a somewhat innocent look about him and is obviously entranced by the city and all its wonders. "Welcome indeed! We can use all the help we can get it seems under the city as well as back near my village in the great Chasm. There are treasure chests and magic and danger and secrets! Also, we are planning to have a big feast, festival and party tonight. You should all come and join us. We have two, count them two, bards that will perform! And the food and the drink…" Robin is quite excited about things.

Draven is a tall, rugged human male with a longbow and a roguish smile. He looked a bit messy from the adventures but will likely clean up okay.

"Well met, newcomers. I'm Draven the Ranger."

"Drinks and a party you say? Sister Marie would be most displeased with such frivolity," says Elizabeth softly with a hint of amusement and a spark of mischief in her eyes when they flick between Robin and Vesper. "Though I have little coin to contribute. Oh! And I am Elizabeth."

Robin went over and held out his hand to Elizabeth. He liked the obvious sense of humor and fun in her eyes. "Glad to meet you Elizabeth. There will be nothing frivolous about our celebration. We are quite serious at having fun. Come with us, we have coin to spare!"

Elizabeth hesitates a moment when Robin offers his hand, the brief spark of mischief smothered by nerves. She takes his hand tentatively and gives him a bit of a smile. "Thanks. I'm uhh, looking forward to it."

"Drinks and a party you say? Sister Marie would be most displeased with such frivolity," says Elizabeth softly with a hint of amusement and a spark of mischief in her eyes when they flick between Robin and Vesper. "Though I have little coin to contribute. Oh! And I am Elizabeth."

"Pleased to meet you Elizabeth" Vesper seems to instinctively tone her exuberance down a notch to address Elizabeth and Robin. She smiles excitedly "There will certainly be frivolity for we are masters of it! Elizabeth, keep your coin and celebrate with us tonight and also keep track of someone sensible, both of you, during the festivities... most especially if - when... when the festivities become... uh... frolicsome!"

"Pleased to meet you Elizabeth" Vesper seems to instinctively tone her exuberance down a notch to address Elizabeth and Robin. "Frolicsome. Yes. Uhh..." Elizabeth blushes, takes in Vesper's less than perfectly modest attire, and then flicks her eyes across the rest of the smelly adventurers. That spark of mischief worms its way past the nerves. "Fortunately, I find it quite easy to keep track of myself."

Galreth walks in, holding a mug from the Trident with Jake (The Raven) on his shoulder and traveling down his arm to drink at his beer.

"Hey folks hows all. So I think I did a ok job with the negation. Oh New faces!"

Galreth is later 30's with long hair and wearing a light 8 piece gore and heavy leather boots. A dagger at his belt and a staff in the other hand.

"I got 39 gold, 2 clerical heals and a Cure Disease, all we have to do is walk down there with them. Unfortunately its 5 days from now. I don't know where we will be then. You can't cast Detect Magic on paranoia, but here we are. We have a party to get ready for, Bring the booze, hide your soul—there might be a succubus on the guest list later."

Galreth smiles and drinks his beer.

One of the bowmen that entered behind Vesper nods at the newcomers

"Well met. I'm Gaurbal, a warrior."

Gaurbal is in his late teens, tall with an athletic build, shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. He is armed with a long sword and a bow, and wears leather armour. Like some of the others he wears additional greaves on his lower legs which, along with his boots, are caked in sewer muck.

He follows Vespers lead and removes his greaves and boots.

"I'm going to need to give them a good clean and I'll be wanting a bath after too, no doubt. Don't want to go celebrating smelling like a pigsty."

[Tiglath]

"Frolicsome. Yes. Uhh..." Elizabeth blushes, takes in Vesper's less than perfectly modest attire, and then flicks her eyes across the rest of the smelly adventurers. That spark of mischief worms its way past the nerves. "Fortunately, I find it quite easy to keep track of myself."

Vesper smiles amiably "That's a useful skill - I have trouble even keeping track of my clothes!" her smile broadens as she adds "My good comrade Gaurbal here would escort you tonight - just so you may keep track of... well... everything. He will smell better by then".

Vesper catches movement in Elizabeth's tattoos with intrigued delight and idly asks "Have you ever considered... a side job... working on the stage?"

"Ah! There's my comrade Galreth I'll introduce him too".

Introduces Galreth.

Vesper greets Galreth pointedly maintaining her distance and leans in to stroke Jake. She replies "Good job! Sounds like you convinced them to be a little less "arse holy" than usual". Pleased with her word play she then wrinkles her nose "They let you in the Trident like that? I bet they let you out quicker! If you have any hopes of finding a succuwhatever somewhere in the night then you need a bath as much we all do!"

"Come over and meet Elizabeth - she's quiet. See if you can get a read on her". Vesper seems very satisfied with her last...

Introduces Galreth to Elizabeth.

"I paid a couple coppers to the farmer who sits by the bar, don't want to get banned for tracking in sludge. Speaking of which, I should take off my boots here"

Galreth does so and takes Tiglath's arm toward Elizabeth.

Meeting Elizabeth.

"Gods preserve us, it’s a whisper in robes — are you here to hex my drink or just haunt my dreams? My companion sings songs, I drink potions mislabeled 'Don’t Touch,' and you—what do you do, besides look like the next chapter of my autobiography?"

Gives fatherly smile.

"Honestly, hello, and this is Jake."

Galreth shrugs his shoulder.

Jake looks at Elizabeth. "Don't mind him, he's harmless. Got any food?"

Vesper smiles amiably "That's a useful skill - I have trouble even keeping track of my clothes!" her smile broadens as she adds "My good comrade Gaurbal here would escort you tonight - just so you may keep track of... well... everything. He will smell better by then".

Elizabeth smiles shyly at Gaurbal. "Hi."

Vesper catches movement in Elizabeth's tattoos with intrigued delight and idly asks "Have you ever considered... a side job... working on the stage?"

Elizabeth's attention rivets back to Vesper, and her eyes widen. "The stage? Erm, I, uhh, don't think that would go well. Most men find my covenant, my tattoos I mean, more disturbing than uh, alluring."

"Ah! There's my comrade Galreth I'll introduce him too".

Introduces Galreth.

Elizabeth stares at Galreth, clearly having no idea how to react to anything he's just said. "Uhh, I weave eldritch forces to accomplish the impossible, and hope I don't get myself killed. Or anyone whose autobiography I may be featured in for that matter."

Her smile returns at the sight of Jake. "A raven? I've always liked ravens. Very clever birds, and with a good memory too. They never forget a friend."

She fishes around in her pocket, and pulls out a bit of bread. "Started eating this on the ship. Didn't finish for uhh, ship-related reasons."

She offers the bit of bread to Jake.

Gaurbal smiles back is about to speak when Elizabeth's attention is grabbed by Galreth's arrival.
