He will depart to fulfill the half-orc's collection though I do think the way he spoke of obtaining 'divine pleasure or favours' he might have just been hustling folk to fund his brothel soiree.

Haldric peers over shoulders - standing on tip toes to do it - so he can get a glimpse of the map. "Well now! That is a fine thing indeed! Praise be to Dumathoin for providing us such bounty - and a peek into his secrets!"

Renna will work the room and approach Magdal, Dredd, Sylla, Meinhardt, Stobart and Pim - "I am confirming that you will be leaving with the group just after first light in the morning as we head for the Cave of Unknown. I want to make sure you have any supplies that you may need for the journey - if not I encourage you to check out Moseley the Quartermaster tonight. In addition, I have a room for four for the night in the inn and at this point I only have two of the beds taken." (One for her and one for Stobart). If there are others in the party that need a room it is available. She leaves each with this quote, "There's hope in the Unknown and hope in what may be, hope in the promises of tomorrow, and hope in all we cannot yet see."

"I'll be there. The only thing I might get is a lantern. I've got a few torches, but that might not be enough."

Loyn sits in awe, “A talking dog as a pet? All of this is news to me, not sure why he would keep these things from me! He pulls out the bone-like stone and caresses it. He says quietly to himself, “Best Friend = Bene…what secret does this item hold?”

He blinks and is back to reality….looking at the maps on the table… “My map seems older than Keya’s and Stobart’s. So much could have changed, causing these maps to become irrelevant. We will have to believe the words of our fathers regarding the safest trek in and we’ll need to rely on each other, trusting your life with your fellow adventurer. We must remember to think before we act and use your senses wisely!

Loyn addresses the Caves of Chaos team, “I would like to set out for the Caves of Chaos at dawn, the same time as the other group. We’ll have safety with numbers, for a while at least. This should give everyone enough time today still to restock equipment and visit the local establishments to purchase anything needed. Most importantly we may hear more intel on the caves from locals. He stores the maps into his pack, then leaves for the quartermaster’s shop.

He tips Wilf and Calista and thanks them for the hospitality.

Finishes his ale.

"Tomorrow for everyone then, I need to find a bunk. When your ready."

Fresh from the Quartermaster, Dredd walks into the tavern and looks for his traveling companions. Walking over to them, he says, "I'm so hungry I could eat a frozen dog! What's on the spit?"

Stobart nods at Keya.

"Let's go, in case they run out."

He heads over to the quartermaster with Keya.

While waiting to be served, Dredd asks those at the tables, "Where can we bunk for the night? Who's going to the caves tomorrow?"

Before Loyn goes shopping he heads back to the bar and gives Calista and Wilf a little extra…“Thank you for all that you have shared with me regarding my father, glad he got to know you both and share in your hospitality!” He leaves the coins on the bar.

He joins the group at the table, noticing who leaves as he arrives. "Hey, if you're shopping, that Moseley guy seems on the straight and narrow. No haggling."

Bugs tries to catch the eye of a server. "The Modest, I think. And a pitcher of ale."

"Dredd, we are heading the Caves of Unknown in the morning - we will be leaving at just after first light. We hope you are coming with us. There's hope in the Unknown and hope in what may be, hope in the promises of tomorrow, and hope in all we cannot yet see."

Listening to Renna wrangle on about hope makes Dredd squint with inner doubt. Finally, she stops talking and Dredd relaxes his face.
"Hope won't keep us safe in the caves, but yeah, I'm coming with. Who else is going?"

When the server comes around, Dredd orders. "Bring me whatever you have. And an ale. Thankee."

Jess serves the newcomers.

"2 stews and 2 pitchers of ale, coming right up."

She looks at Bugs a little longer. "Hey! We have another gnome living here who looks like you. Well, except for his long grey hair and grey beard, he looks a lot like you."

He opens his eyes wide in surprise. "Wait. What's his name? Pep, Pepe? No, I know, Peppy!" Bugs smiles and thanks her for the food and drinks.

"What do you make of him, Peppy? Good guy?"

He opens his eyes wide in surprise. "Wait. What's his name? Pep, Pepe? No, I know, Peppy!" Bugs smiles and thanks her for the food and drinks.

"What do you make of him, Peppy? Good guy?"

"Yes, Peppy. You know him?"

"I think he's a weird old gnome, but everyone around here seems to like him. He's been here longer than I've been alive, they say. He makes funny clothes and grows weird plants or something. He lives with his wife and all their kids, along with the fisherman, Tarlach."

Magdal

Magdal enters the tavern hesitantly, then catching sight of the proprietor, or at least the one she thinks is the proprietor. She shyly moves to stand before Calista, "Ma'am, if you've a moment, I'm looking to see if Hugo Haldeene might have been here around a year back." She then describes him briefly and waits for a response.

Afterwards she will take a seat and spend her last few silvers on food and drink (non-alcoholic) as well as a spot to sleep, knowing she couldn't afford a room to herself. When Renna approaches her, she replies, "I'd love to join you folk, as that is where I intend to head come morning."
