Fahima

Whispering, "That was close. There is some monster in the room eating what looks like stone dragon tail. I did some exploring, thankfully no fighting."

She takes out a fresh piece of parchment and quickly draws a map from memory of where she went.

Zan

Zan returns with the group being as quiet as he can. He points up and makes three symbols. First he points to himself, second he cups his ear and third he moved his hands like he is pounding a drum.

Can you help orient me? Where are we currently on Fahima's map?

Fahima

If you look at this map: https://www.unseenservant.us/forum/view ... 85#p661685

I am pretty sure the door at the bottom by the blue square is the door on my map that says open.

I think we are currently by the door that says PC's.

Roan follows along albeit a bit distracted thinking about the egg and that thing that came out of it and how it must be pretty powerful to neutralize a black dragon.

Rex is correct. The group is now standing in the entry hallway with the door open showing the steps leading back outside.

Cassius

He turns from Fahima to Zan. "Incoming? How close?"

"Fahima, did you find anything interesting, or that mage fellow?"

"What do you guys think? We may be between a rock monster and a drum."

Still tense and occasionally peeking into the large chamber, Vilana says, "So, what are we going to do now? Should we try to get past the...whatever it is that took out Aulicus and most of the room, or head back into the swamp? The drums...they could mean anything. All I know is we can stay right here. We need a plan."

That's your DM's way of saying, "You need a plan of action." :D

Cassius

"Ok. We're here and that dragon isn't. And the one thing I really know about dragons, aside from they breathe acid, is that they have treasure. Treasure that is now dragonless."

Cassius raises a brow at the group. "I don't know about all of you, but I like treasure. Let's go find it."

He suggests that Fahima lead the way, quietly, to a door of the great hall and past the creature.

Fahima

"I snuck by last time. Going to be tricky to sneak everyone by it. The side door escaped through is the closest open door. That should be our target if we are going to try it."

Just want to confirm the door is still open and not blocked by the monster?

Roan looks at himself and says "Sneaky, yah really think I look like a sneaky type?"

Zan

Zan will whisper, "We go forward or we retreat. We have nothing for the lizard king any more so if we go forward we have to consider him hostile. Staying in the doorway is the only wrong answer."

Sai

There has to be a Black Dragon Hoard around here some place. So let's go find it. Our quest is finished. The Egg has been used. The drums could be anything but let's not stick around to find out. Get the treasure from the dragon and get out of here. We are already down a member and that thing in there could end us all. We can't play with that thing.

Fahima takes a peek into the room where she slipped by and sees the door remains open and unblocked. The "monster" (let's just call it a basilisk) appears to be sniffing around the rubble.
Vilana chances a look, and with their darkvision, there seems to be a very large pile of rubble - stone and earth - alongside the far wall on the left side of the chamber. Some of it even looks melted, not unlike the doors to this chamber. Could it be, the dragon came from that direction?
"I'm up for a bit of treasure," Vilana whispers, watching the huge creature sniff and poke its head through the double doors at the far end of the chamber. Could it be leaving?

Fahima

Whispering to the others once back away from the door, "Looks clear to the side door, not sure but the basilisk might be leaving the room. It looks like the dragon is a pile of rubble now."

Roan just about shits a brick at the news of the dragon "Holly shite, yer tellin me a dragon like that was defeated by some weird six legged lizard? It were'nt strong enough ta avoid turrnin ta stone? Wait how tha hell did it turn ta stone? Er are ya sayin it be buried under rubble crushed ta death?" the dwarf asks in as best as a whisper as he can manage.

Cassius

"Ok. Hunting for treasure it is. And I agree Roan, The armor makes us less sneaky, we'll just have to be fast."

Cassius gauges the distance to the door, and whether the basilisk can cut us off. Then takes a deep breath and steadies himself. "Let's go. Sneaky first, then fast. Then Roan." He winks at the Dwarf lightheartedly.
