The Green Garden

By the light of the green phosphorescent glow, the group searches down the gardens side paths, finding that they each meander through more bizarre looking green glowing trees, shrubs, and flowers before looping back around to this central area again.

A closer inspection of the carved stone statue reveals a tall robed figure, somewhat larger than human sized. The figures spindly arms are folded tightly across its thin chest. Instead of a normal head, a pearl white globe of smooth glass sits atop the shoulders of the statue.

Actions?

I will need to wait till Monday to give you the full map, but go ahead and chew on this till then.

Drest will examine the statue closer, does the globe look removable? He wont touch it just yet.

"Can anyone tell if the globe is magical?"

Valkrina

"Strange statue. Does it represent the Mu-men? The globe some kind of divining or scrying device. We have all been to circus and gypsy fairs right with some old crone looking into a misty orb to soothsay about futures".

The bard comments. She taps on the statue, rather like knocking a door. "Hello. Anyone there?" as if she expects a response (a welcoming or tolerant one at least).

Akhilleus

Seeing that the statue of catching everyone's attention, Akhilleus will investigate the walls and ceilings of the chamber there in now. Maybe there's other interesting things in connection with the statue.

I can't tell if it's magic, but I can tell that it is weird. I hope the people of the island aren't this big.

Seeing The Light

After a short stroll along the glowing garden paths, the group concentrates their investigations on the statue in the basin. Drest steers clear of touching it, asking if it appears magical to anyone. Akhilleus stares up at the ceiling overhead, finally spotting the wall of this strange chamber just beyond a forked path up ahead. He will need to get closer to learn anything about that area.

Euripides finds this whole place to be a bit weird, even in his eyes. Once Valkrina touches the statue, calling out her greeting, the globe illuminates with a bright yet soft white light that overpowers all of the greenish glow from the surrounding vegetation. The trees and plants start to sway towards the light, leaves and stems moving slowly now, as if blown by some unfelt breeze. The whispering noise ceases immediately and all the vegetation seems to suck up as much of this new light as they can.

The bright light doesn't appear to be dangerous, but it does cause you to squint against its intensity.

"It is feeding the plants as if they are in sunlight. It started when I tapped it. Maybe a gardener is around usually to tend stuff? "

While the plants are occupied with sun bathing, we should hurry out lest some get hungry.

Drest will search around and see if the light illuminates anything he couldn't see before.

With the mention of a gardener, the fighting man looks at the floor to see if there's any footprints on it from previous visitors. ", Perhaps someone can find tracks better than I do."

He will then approach the end wall, where fork is.

Xenos is quite happy to follow the group, alert for danger as they poke and prod and set off any potential traps.

"better them than me" he thinks to himself.

He pays particular attention to Akhilleus as he approaches the fork.

Intrigued by the glowing orb, Euripides will attempt to remove it from the statue.

Hopefully we haven't lost Hakon......again.

Seeing The Light

Drest averts his gaze, hoping to find something they couldn't see before. He notices that the water level in the basin has diminished slightly, and that the water seems to be leaking out through tiny holes near the ground in the direction of the scattered plants.

Euripides hops up close to the statue, attempting to remove the light globe from the tall stone figure. He finds it quite secure, however. No amount of pulling or turning on the globe seems to help release it in any way. The strange light globe is not giving off any heat.

The others watch as Akhilleus moves around the fountain into the forked area of the trail. There he sees the far wall of this underground chamber, now well lit with the shining light from the nearby statue. The gravel path changes into worked stone in this area, and along that back wall he sees several archways cut into the face of the grey stone. These archways look like doors or portals of some kind, but they are all etched directly into the rocky wall, with no indication how to pass through them.

The archway's appear to have different symbols etched into the stone where a door might normally be. The one closest to him (4) has a strange oval shape, but he cant make out any details from a distance.

Tests her bardic knowledge of runes and scripts as she studies the symbols, hoping they are not glyphs of warding or strange Mu curses on those who intrude in the subterranean garden.

And Then There Were Four

Akhilleus urges someone more learned to look over the strange carvings, so Drest, Xenos, and Valkrina move forward to investigate the symbols on the stone archways.

Drest walks forward, getting an eerie feeling from the defaced and unrecognizable oval symbol of the 4th archway. The destruction of this symbol looks to be crudely done, and the scout finds that some of the area around the former carving has been blackened as if it were also burned at some point.

Xenos walks all the way to the last in line, seeing the defaced oval at the 4th arch. He passes the symbol of a beautiful and horney woman which adorns the neighboring arch. The next symbol is that of a huge bearded warrior with a spear. While the last archways symbol is a fine, gem encrusted lyre.

Valkrina steps forward to the arch next to Drest, finding that carving depicting a crazed looking Viking warrior. She cant make out the next two symbols without getting closer, but the one next to her is equipped with a lever that is sticking out from the stone as well.

3) A beautiful watery maiden crowned with elk antlers
4) A burned oval shape has been carved out of the face of the rock here, destroying the former carving

Euripides gives up on the statue/ light combo. Interesting as it may be, he doesn't see any way he can make use of it to benefit the party. However, since the others have found something new to investigate, the Atlantean will wander over and check out the last archway.
