"The bedroom next to the garage is the one I requested and Wind Dragon wants as a Lab. Maybe we can choose randomly since everyone wants the same room."

Re: UE Issue #1: Introductions
Wind Dragon does not care which one he has, he only meant he would use whatever room he gets as a lab.

Thanks for the clarifications.
"Are we drawing lots or something for the first leadership position?"

Eclipse
If Eclipse can have the 2nd floor bedroom he's after then he'd like to use the room above the garage as the planning and 'war' room if that's OK?

Eclipse suggests the following
- We draw random lots to determine the order of leadership. This is then fixed and we just cycle around.
- If anyone never wants to be leader then they can withdraw from the lot drawing. [e.g. Wind Dragon]
- A current leader can voluntarily end their current term early.
- On a majority vote from the group the current leader can be removed from their current term early.
- On majority vote the above rules can be cancelled and we can put in place a new system for deciding the leader.

I am good with you taking that room and the war room idea.
On the others I say to remove a leader should be a unanimous vote but otherwise I am good with it.

Maybe we limit it? Maybe agree to answer 1or 2 each, including a GOSH spokesperson?

Wind Dragon
Wind Dragon, adds in a few thoughts "Just for clarification. Unanimous with or without the leader. In other words, if a leader is potentially being removed can they block that removal? Another option for the news conference is having a written statement and take either limited or no questions."

"Good point, I think removing a leader has to be unanimous without the leader getting a vote. As for the news conference I think we should have a written statement and then take limited questions. Maybe that would work better with one question per reporter, two tops"

"Agreed, without the leader. Max of 2 each, I would be fine with just 1."

"So, any thoughts on how we do this? We could have two on shift and two off, on call ready for if something happens?

"Shouldn't we have someone on duty all the time? 20 hours is less than 3 hours a day. 40 hours a week from each of us would mean there will always be a member on active duty. I understand not everyone can give that much, so why don't we find out how much we can each give and see how close we are. I could probably do 40 or 50 hours at a push. We also need to get pagers, so we can alert those off duty."

"I mentioned 20 as that would just be on patrol or whatever, when called into action it will require more time. I am full time so 40 hours a week is no problem."

First Night Dinner
The Crusaders Base, Dan Ryan Woods, New Chicago
6:30 PM Local Time – Monday, June 15th, 1987
The team parked their vehicles in the garage and have given the house a once over. Everyone notices that much of the house is dusty, correction the second floor and basement are dusty since Wind Dragon blew out a lot of the ground floor dust before the team arrived. They had some early discussions and are currently enjoying some Chinese food from a hole-in-the-wall take out place that the Wind Dragon got the food from. Some rules and powers of a leader were defined but no one as yet stepped up to the leadership role. Some rooms were requested (Azir the basement bedroom and Eclipse the second floor bedroom closest to the bathroom) and some rooms were avoided (the master bedroom). Eclipse suggests that you table the leader discussions and proceed to operate on collective voting and individual initiative process for the moment until something else is defined or someone becomes the leader.
Looking at availability, there was some desire to have someone on call all the time, in the middle of this discussion all four of your GOSH pagers go off at basically the same time, looking at your pagers you see your normal call in number from GOSH. Dos Seso reminds that team that there is a speaker phone in the "bonus room", or as Eclipse called it the "War Room".

Re: UE Issue #1: Introductions
Eclipse follows Azir into the war room. He does his best to keep his emotions under control, excitement at their first mission as a team, and concern at what the danger might be.
