Re: The Fellowship
Maxim gathers all of the required components and spends time in meditation calling for the prayer. Once done he puts the head on a tabel in the middle of the room and calls upon Rongo to grant him the power.
After he utters the final words of his prayer the eyes of the head open wide, unblinking
maxim
Is the location of the stones merging closer to Markainus or Starlorn?
The mouth if the head moves wordlessly and from seemingly the ground and all around you a voice whispers
Starlorn
maxim
Quickly we only have a moment to ask the second question

Sarin thinks of a question but waits to see what the others are thinking.

Sarin responds to Ruthgar "I was thinking asking the location Cillian is at just thinking of a way to word it so we get a helpful answer is my dilemma."

Showing the head the map recovered from the cultists. To the head: I will draw a circle around Starlorn, say stop when I am pointing at the location the gems will be merged. Ruthgar proceeds hoping this works.

it doesn't work that way they can only answer a question not perform a task, and they can't actually see. Only answer a question it knew the answer to in life.

From which direction would you leave Starlorn to get to the location being used to merge the gems?

Re: The Fellowship
Ruthgar:
Many thanks Maxim I think this should give us enough direction to get started. I must attend to some other business before we depart.
Assuming the sun is still up, Ruthgar will make his way to the blacksmith and pay the remaining 250gp for his armor. What would you give for this slightly used banded mail? He'll ask.
Ruthgar then gets the brooch identified, not quite having enough to get the stone done as well.
OCC: 50pp struck for armor, 200gp struck for ID of brooch.
OCC: Armor class updated!

"Excellent now we have a better idea where to start."
Turning to Maxim, "Do you have any maps of that area we could look at? Even if it just had villages it would help but an older map would be better, they seem to like using ruins as a base of operations."

Maxim
I suggest coming by tomorrow later in the day. The High Priest should be done with his communion and I am sure he will want to talk with you. I will find a map although we will have nothing but a recent one we have no ancient maps of somewhere that far away.
the smith has ruthgars plate completed
i was wondering if you would survive to come collect it. I'll give you 40 gold for the well used banded mail
Ruthgar goes to a little shop on the end of town where he is told he can get magic identified. It is run by an old woman, she takes your gold and tells you to return the next day and she will have the broach identified.

Re: The Fellowship
Allan unable to add much to the magical divination will take his leave for a bit to inquire at the apothecary if any potions of healing can be found - for a reasonable price.

You enter a shop with several tables setup with beakers, and vials, and burner walls lined with herbs and liquids.
you are approached by a short man with glasses
How can I help
they have healing potions for 400 gold
they have a lesser healing potion (heals 1d6) for 200 gold

Ruthgar:
Ruthgar also drops the stone of for identification with the old woman as well. The 40gp for the banded mail made this possible.
After running errands he'll find whatever tavern his comrades are using as a base.
