Will post Val's entrance from the upstairs once the Harrowing thread hits noon, since that is the earliest time he will be able to wake up due to the drinking festivities.

Halfred heads back over to Nihilius, scratching his diminutive head. "I'm afraid I had no more luck than you did in gaining her services. Perhaps one of these fine gentlemen would be interested in a quick jaunt out to the ruins?" He looks about the room hopefully.

Nihilius sighs. "Perhaps they will." He also looks around for a likely adventurer, then leaves a note written on a parchment by the map.
The note reads:
"To the Company Venturing to the Far Tower,
Nihilius and Halfred agree to come with you, and will join you
upon our return, should you have not yet departed. We expect
to be back only a few days after Harrowing. Our gratitude to
Wendell and Varas for the offer.
If any wishes to join us on a visit to the near ruins on the morning
after the Harrowing festival, meet at the Gate at dawn to travel with
us."
(The bottom of the parchment is sealed with the Wizard's Mark of Nihilius.)
