To a degree yes. MOst of those skills you won't use actively, such as building traps unless the party is hunkered down and have the time. Trap building can be time consuming, though I won't rule it out. There may come a time when those skills will come in handy.

Most of those skills will be accouted for during DC checks. Your DC to beat will be lower than some of the others (ie. easier for your character). You should definitely keep those skills in mind when ropleplaying your character. Weave them into your dialog and actions for sure.

Hope that makes sense. It will become more clear once gameplay begins.

Sounds good antman9! I am thinking that most of my traps will be simple for the most part. Similar to those in home alone! They are relatively easy to make and use.

My suggestion: just adhere to only the things your character knows. This way if you don't read all the backstory it works out just fine. If there's something you need to know, you can always ask a PC or NPC in character.

I agree, and when you meet the rest of the gang I'm sure it'll be a ton of fun!

I cant wait to sync up with the party. Its going to very interesting playing this character. 4' Tall Proto elf that is sick with a bow. I can see myself climbing a lot of trees in my future.

I am going to try and get a few posts in later tonight. Also waiting on several new folks to finish up character creation and get them introduced for the second adventure.

I will be out of town this weekend, beginning Friday evening, for a backpacking trip. Be back Sunday evening but may no post until Monday.

Sorry for being MIA. Lost my computer and everything else we owned to a house fire on Monday. No one was home nor hurt so things are going as well as can be.

As I mentioned in the other ooc Glad to hear nobody is hurt but I don't blame you if you need time to deal with all of it. I'm sure antman can NPC you as needed.

Hey all,

Made it back from the cold wilderness in one piece.

Sorry to hear about the fire Nuke. Take your time getting things put back together. A spot will be here when you get things back in order. Take care of your family first.
