Xenos
"I don't have many left, but I could get out another torch and we split into two groups to explore the room?"
He repeats the above in Ixian for the natives.

Drest
Whispering,
"Shush, no talking. I think I heard something."
He listens intently.
Discern Noise (5:12) [1d12]=2
I can't usually either, which is why I usually try and let you roll, LOL.

Drest listens intently.
The Scout thinks he hears muffled voices in the distance, at least two of them. The noise comes from beyond the far side of the room, but he cant see who the voices belong to.
The language is unfamiliar to him, but it sounds a bit like some of the old chants Snorri, the now dead Viking brute used to sing.
Once he shushes Xenos, the voices suddenly stop.

Drest
Drest points in the direction of the voices and raises 2 fingers, shrugs and raises 3 fingers.

Cyril readies his sling. He whispers, "I'll be happy when we are able to quit this place once and for all."

Xenos hands the two unarmed natives a javelin each, miming throwing them. He then draws his scimitar and gets ready to enter.

Akhilleus
He whispers: "They might be prisoners of some sort."
Since it's obvious they've been discovered, Akhilleus will enter the room after Drest. He will serve as a distraction while the scout sneaks around. His sword is ready.

Xenos gestures for the natives to enter next after Akhilleus, then he will follow behind.

Drest warns the others about what he's heard before slowly moving inside to sneak across the large room. He makes it to the second line of columns while Akhilleus and the freshly armed slaves enter behind him.
Once Xenos enters with the lone torch, the remainder of the room can be viewed.
Drest can no longer hear the noises from earlier, but he clearly spots another hallway leading south, adorned with two more half opened doors and another narrow stairway leading down into yet another room below.

Xenos shrugs
"We've come this far, and we have the natives to help, I say we keep going."

The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Basement Level, Late Afternoon
As soon as the slaves move in and Drest begins to advance, 4 strange looking humanoids suddenly rush out of the partially opened doors in the hallway to charge directly at the Scout and his followers. These creatures are short, only about 4 feet in height, but they are clearly powerful. Their legs are stubby, though they all have heavily muscled torsos. Their arms are long and spindly, with round heads that appear too large for their bodies.
The first pair is dressed in chainmail armor and carry horseman's picks. They shout strange Viking-esque battle cries as they charge, ready to smash into the Scout like heavy waves crashing against a cliff wall.
Neither side is surprised, so go ahead and make actions and I will see how initiative turns out.

Drest
Drest will try to use one of the columns as cover so he can only be attacked by 1 at a time.

Xenos mirrors Akhilleus manoeuvre, trying to position himself on Drests right.
"Try and close before they all get out of the passage" he repeats the above in Ixian.
I'm not sure I have enough move to make it to my intended position, but I will roll a melee attack in case he can get close enough
Initiative: [1d6]=4
Scimitar (long): to-hit [1d20+4]=1+4=5, damage [1d8+3]=1+3=4
