Jess grins: Just seen the top girl'v Red Team snuggled up ter the Major, talkin' 'bout weddin's. Don't think we need ter worry 'bout trouble tonight.
Still, never know what we don't know. Could be more'n one OPFOR. Get 'er squared away for access if yer like, clear out the fragged bits. I'll make my call, see what I c'n do.

With the top brass all snuggling up, it looks a perfect time for a strike!
And you seemed well set earlier. So we may as well keep any eye out for them

Other than the hole, what's needed for a minimal fly-shoot-run mission?
You have the basics but need to fit the spares (one day's work - timescale could be reduced as a priority). You have limited but sufficient fuel & ammo for orbital close support ops (but no jaunts insystem). A scratch crew of Freya (Pilot / Sensor Operator) and three "gunners" from the merc unit. As long as you don't leave the atmosphere you can live with holes in the back end. However, during the day's refit/repair a mechanic with access to heavy duty welding gear will be able to fix the hull integrity / draught issue.
The gunship is currently berthed in Jess' "garage" which occupies the external portion of the barracks and officer quarters).

I'm picturing it in the West/left bay and the G-Carriers in the East/right section, is that correct?[/ooc]

I'm good with that (this is the double height bay with the catwalk - so makes sense). Vehicles may have to squeeze in /shuffle about but you can make it all fit!
NB For reference entry from the barracks leads onto the catwalk level (West/left). The lower floor with the extra hangar space is "blistered" on to the outside of the Mansion forming the "basement" level below this.
The East/right G Carrier bay and Jess' "lair" is just one floor (with no "basement").

Suits me. Jess doesn't really want a ****ing launch in her garage. 's not a vehicle, 's a ship. Doesn't belong. Diff'rent service, ships. Leatherneck stuff.

That wasn't how I heard it...but we can get it moved when it's airworthy! Lets get it going.

Bootneck stuff is being on a ship and constantly referring to it as a "Boat" with the sole intention of annoying the funny people who drive it.

"Was this real?" Jakob asked himself. "It is to her. You've seen the horror, you know it is real. Marines run to the battle, even ones like this. Time to move, Marine."
Jakob grabbed his sabre as he rolled out of their bed. In a moment he was in the corridor, nude, and bellowing. "Stand To! Unload weapons. Arm with steel! Marines: Zed Zed Kilo. Look alive!"
They hadn't used ZZK in years, and Jakob had been glad for it. The Marines had Condition A, full peace time. In battle contact was Condition F. ZZK had started at a joke; if F was bad then ZZK was so far out there that reality itself was in question.
They had used it a lot on Lanth.
Jakob turned to look at Liv. "Get to Frank; tell him I advise we arm with steel, and that magazines are not in our rifles. No grenades. Tell him this is what we did on Lanth, and tell him what you saw."
He started his hasty-don but paused when Liv was at the door. "And tell yourself how much I love you."
He geared up and moved to his troops. Skip would have the delegates, Frank needed to know what was going on. They all did.

Err.. Jess,
Someone is shouting "To Arms"...
...I'm guessing that that is bad!
Grabs tool-kit and heads back to the working Shuttle.
Which is in the other bay if I recall correctly

Th' frell's goin' on?
Shut yerself in the boat fer now, I'll release the doors in case we need ter do a flit.
Jess carries on trying to contact Gaughan on her personal comm as she runs to her office to get the unit comm and net-in. Her CES is in there too and, more importantly, weapons.

Jess and Freya
Jess and Freya realise its late or early o'clock...
Time must have slipped by while they were tinkering with the launch.
Jess realises Gaughan might not be too far away - having stashed him in her lair.

Frank jumps out of bed and grabs his comm, while he slips on his tailored vacc-suit (assuming this is the quickest option) he broadcasts on the officers net:
"Cross here, status report!"

Getting into the captured launch, I'll armour up, check my weapon and bring the powerplant up so we're "ready to flit" - as Jess put it

OOC: Just for info Freya will be in the "gunship" launch in the "garage" bay. Her Mertactor launch is parked on the roof (effectively). It's actually docked to the "tower/penthouse" structure above the pool. IC update soonest!

Jess rushes to pull on her CES while talking. You know what's goin' on Darragh? Hand me that ACR.
Putting on her helmet she keys into unit comms while operating the external door controls. Who called the alarm? Henker here, I'm in the garage. What's the flap about? Anyone got eyes on the problem.

Other than Freya, Jess and Darragh, who (if anyone) is in the garage?
And what, if anything, of the armaments on this flying rust-bucket are operable?

There’d better not be anyone else.
After getting ( or not getting ) a response on the HQ net Jess switches to team comm:
Charlie-Boy, get the lads movin’’, there’s a flap on.

There's two sentries outside the garage to barracks doors
Standby IC update coming - just snowed under!
