The Brazen Strumpet Tavern

One of the heroes of the Helix hospice blaze returns to the tavern. Traeliorn has had a fateful first day in the frontier village. Arriving as the medical facility burns to the ground and the patients kept in isolation suites unfortunately pass away. The blame is squarely put upon the two Barrowmoor diseased victims who turned into grotesque Myconid abominations.

Traeliorn says little about what he has seen and heard, taking some ales from the wench Merda, ever the sultry gossip of adventuring rumour.

deduct -1gp to cover your evening drinking, food and accommodation. With adventurers returning from the Barrow Mounds soon and an inquest into the Hospice blaze certainly offering other opportunities, it will be just a matter of time before someone responds to your Bulletin Board notice.

Sorry. Didn't realize Traeliorn was in town and active!

Early morning, 21 May
As Traeliorn enjoys breakfat with the sun barely above the horizon, the door opens. A slight figure with antlers upon their head, a full bearskin cloak enveloping their frame, enters and looks around, locking eyes with the elf. They leave the door hanging open, two full-grown wolves padding in at their heels, earning a scowl and angry retort from the proprietor.

"You are Traeliorn," the druid says bluntly as if to confirm, the two wolves sniffing in a circle around your table. "Raust," they add, a hand placed on their own chest to indicate themselves. "Your message is heard. They have need of aid from those who do not fear the moor, to hunt the slip-skins who slaughtered the people of Herne, departing when scholar-priest reads his books, perhaps tomorrow's tomorrow. You aided the fire in the hospice... today the faithful of the Anganach are needed to put the dead to rest first if you can aid that as well."

Orgoth

Orgoth walks in to the Brazen Strumpet. "Hey bar keep, I will take a meal and ale please." He drops a gp on the bar as he sits down at the bar for a well earned meal.

The Brazen Strumpet Tavern

May 21st

Orgoth, Sven, Isvand & Gerdal return to town and the home comforts of the tavern.

A few familiar faces patronise the bar along with a few new people, obvious adventuring types.

The half-orc takes a rest, putting a new fancy helm on the table and tucking into some rare steak and fries. Enquiring you find the cleric of Cromm, Golgarth has left town in a pastoral mission, Konrad still researches the ingot.

each of you decide how long to stay and cover your upkeep costs.

Orgoth

"I will take the deluxe twin for a week." He drops 5gp on the bar. (charge is 84sp, sheet updated for -5gp)

"Sven do you want to share my room?"

Sven looks up from his plate of spicy beef patty's.

"Huh? Now you want to share a room again? You sure do like flip flopping a lot don't you bud?" He jokes around in between bites. "That's a yes," he winks.

"But seriously, we do need to talk about heading out to Ironguard Motte one of these days with a load of our goods to sell. I don't think we need the entire crew to go along, but I would like you to accompany me there, if you would agree do that. I need a break from that maze anyway. I think it's messing with my mind a bit more than I care to admit."

He looks to Isvand and Gerdal if they are present. (if not then at some other point in town)

"Are the two of you okay with a little break for a while? I don't know how long Orgoth and I will be gone, so it will be up to you as far as what you do while we're away. I don't mind if you hook up with another group. I suppose I don't even mind if you take on some hirelings of your own and head back into the dungeon. I just need a break from that place for a while. I don't like the way it's making my head feel."

I am probably going to ask Amos to accompany us, but Truro should be available as a hireling option. Not sure about the gnomes yet, but I might ask at least one of them along as well.

Orgoth

"I will accompany you for sure. I still have the ingot to deal with and now the helm and piggy thing."

Sven

"Great! Thanks! I forgot that you had stuff to deal with there as well, so this should work out even better."

"I wonder what we will find out about your weird ingot."

Sven looks up again, wiping his mouth.

"I would be tickled pink if we came back to learn your crew searched the right mound and found another way into the maze. But you dont have to go doing anything that dangerous if you don't want to."

Sven keeps eating and drinking, still glad he doesn't have to poke his food through the old mask hole anymore.

Gerdal hits it big with a premier upkeep room (if available) for four days, to begin with. She will kick start her stay by ordering a mixed grill and a bottle of dwarven potatoe vodka after having her bubble bath and a change to clean clothes.

8 gp deducted

After having bathed, eaten and sampled the vodka bottle, she joins up with Sven, Isvand and Orgoth in the main hall by the hearth.

"Gentlemen."

She covers her mouth with the backside of her palm as if surpressing a *burp*

"That sound wise. You did seem a little stressed out down there Sven, the fresh air and some change of environment will do you good, for sure. I'm excited to hear what they think about our tapestry. It should bring some nice coin. I have only one favor to ask for you. Well, that I can think of now anyway." she says and smiles."If you can find me somewhere between one and three pearls, I'd be very greatful. Currently, it's beyond my skill, and frankly also beyond my area of interest, but a pure pearl seem to be needed in the preparation to deduce the exact magical properties of an item. I've heard rumors that they go for somewhere between 100 and 200 gp a piece, so if you accept you could bring my uncut emerald as payment? Oh, and will you also try to sell the gold drake coins while you're there?"

Gerdal then turns to answer Isvand.

"Well. I guess I'm planning at least one more trek to the mounds before winter locks us all inside these buildings for months and months. I didn't check for postings, but someone is always up to something here, I guess."''

She looks at Raust, if she's still present.

"Hey you! Yes, you! Come over and have a drink, won't you? It's so nice to see another woman who's up to things. And an animal lover as well."

Gerdal pets Harkazz (which is her pet chameleon lizard)

Oh, so Raust is back "tomorrow"? Let's just assume Gerdal speaks with her tomorrow then.

Orgoth

"Yes, some fresh air will be good for both of us I think."

Sven calls his group in close and whispers to them at the table.

"Remember, when we get back you are all in for a sweet payday. We will be bringing the diamond from last trip, the two huge diamonds from this trip, the 2 sapphires from this trip, and the dragon tapestry. Now you see why I asked Orgoth to accompany me. I cant promise any specific amount yet, but we should all be swimming in silver upon our return."

"And we would be happy to bring anything else along with us as well, Gerdal. It makes sense to try to get the most we can for all this stuff. I like the convenience of the local merchants, but they wont pay what the big city folks will pay."
He takes the gem and Drakes form the woman and secures them with his own stuff. "I will bring you back written receipts for the pearls, and look for a few for myself as well, since that is such a good idea. I hope you can trust my bartering skills by now." Sven rolls his eyes and chuckles, remembering his last run-in with the local appraiser.

"And by all means, if there is anything else either of you would like us to do there, all you need do is ask."

Gerdal

"Of course Sven, here, take them."

She hands Sven the coins.

"Or maybe I keep the emerald if something turns up here while you're away and you can maybe get some pearls from our share of the sales?"

She puts the emerald back if Sven does not protest.

"Did you want me to treat the tapestry once more by the way?"

Traeliorn

Hastily wiping his solemn face with a napkin, the elf acknowledges Raust. "Traeliorn Petroris" said Traeliorn giving a slight bow of his head in politeness. "I thank you for answering my message. I will lend my blade and arrow to avenge the people of Herne." Acknowledging the two wolves Traeliorn continues "yes, I did give aid. I would like to continue by helping bury the dead. Maybe you can come along with me?"

OOC - I'm sorry that I wasn't active. Just been busy with my personal life. Also, I deducted -1gp for the food.
