Androgost

"With a clear majority to retreat, I recommend that we do it now and then finish our rest. Everyone ready for a 5 mile night hike."

Androgost will leave behind the saddle, saddle blanket, bit and bridle, and horse meal at the camp.

Is anyone else leaving supplies in the campsite.

Qleceec

Qleceec will be leaving the same as well as the panniers and tack from the pack horse. She will focus on rations and necessities.

Nah Olos "I can carry some of your supplies. Give me the saddlebags." He will sling them over a shoulder, one bag in front, one in back, easily dropped if combat arises again.

Hex will hand his money pouch to Raffi, and a few other heavier things from his pack, but not his spellbook, so he isn’t quite so burdened. The ponies were taken, with all the riding gear in them, so they have nine of that left to leave.

The little pair will work at this as quickly as they can, and be ready to leave ASAP

Anything that you have lost or are leaving (or handing off to someone else) please mark that down on the sheets as I will be thinking about encumbrance again.

Hex hands over his spellbook and 200 golds to Raffi to carry. The halfling slides two flasks of oil and 2 pitons and a normal dagger out of his own pack to accommodate the gnome’s stuff, and leaves them at the camp. He will try and bury them by a tree in case he can fetch them on his way through again.

Sheets updated

In the Jotens - Hiking in the middle of the night.
Second Watch Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 48/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 55/65, Armor 21/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 46/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 33/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 24/50)
Hex (AC 5, HP 19/27)
Raffi (AC 6, HP 16/21)
Boff (AC 5, HP 49/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)

The adventures pack the camp, leaving behind some supplies (some buried and some on the ground) as well as a smelly chest. The group has travelled about a mile from the camp, the sounds of the evening are calming the nerves of the more nervous members of the group. In the darkness, beyond the light of the groups magic and to the rear a barn owl gives a strong "Who" as the group is continues to walk.

Note for Qleceec, Siouxsie and Hex
Given you backgrounds in Nature or Illusion you all are aware the Barn Owl is not a Barn Owl.
Is there any reaction to the sound? Other Actions?

Hex will continue walking casually but hiss to his companions Heads up, that was not a real owl call, we may be walking into an ambush. Weapons ready!

Raffi will nod and move to wrap his hands around the hilts of his sword and magical dagger in preparation, searching the terrain to either side of the roadway for signs of an ambush or trap.

Qleceec

Just loud enough for those close to her to hear, "Hex is right, that was no owl. Could be scouts from the settlement but could be our new friends again. Be ready."

Without a bow she is already as ready as she can be.

Garrant

Is Garrant's infravision still working (duration of 9 hours, so I think it should be)? If so, he will see if he can see anything in the direction of the owl, and then start 'scanning' for anyone around from that location working in a clockwise direction.

It is still working, but I assume that you are walking with lights on (since otherwise the Ranger cannot see)

You would need to not be in the light zone to use the infravision.

Boff quietly hands his reigns over to Frannie and slides off his horse, and starts quietly drifting toward the back of the group.Just walking more slowly, not changing direction.

Siouxsie

Will make some owl noises back at the bandits or whoever is watching us, maybe add in a bit of 'hill giant' roar, centaur whinnying and eagle squawk.

She shrugs. "They will announce themselves soon enough."

Boff - You are walking. At present there are no horses with the group. The remaining horses were lost within the last game hour. They were all asked to charge an "enemy spellcaster" and did not return.

The adventurers get a sense that they are being followed due to the "fake" sounding barn owl sounds. Several prepare for an assault when Siouxsie has calls out in tongues. Following Siouxsie's outburst, the members of the party in the back half hear movement that is moving AWAY from the rear of the group. After a short pause, the normal sounds of the night return and it would appear on the surface that whomever was "following" the group has at least backed off.

Actions?

Qleceec

Keeps moving and stays alert since she is confident they are being followed.

Whispering to the others near here, "Keep moving a little while longer, this is good ground for tracking, I want to makes sure they are into it a little ways then we will stop and check for what they left behind for tracks."

When the group lead by Qleceec takes a little time it is clear that the group was being trailed by two Shtelke (walking on two feet) and very recently they retreated (Running on all fours)
