Re: OOC Thread
It's all good. We'll be ready when you post.
Re: OOC Thread
Okay; so the last (battle-wise anyway) post is up and everyone made it....HOORAY!
I rolled one terrible and one fantastic shot for Jackson (a 4 and a 17) and the rest in the typical 8-13 range or so and I rolled TERRIBLE (for me, the evil GM) on the damage shot for the Out Runner; which works out well for the story, so yay!
Okay; for anyone who wants to continue with the next adventure (and I sincerely hope ALL of you do; but if you'd rather bow out, I understand and no hard feelings; thanks for playing!); your PC has 20 skill points to spend on improving skills. Basic rule is any skill can be improved or purchased (if you don't have any points in a skill you'd like to put points in) a maximum of +1D.....and each pip of improvement costs a number of points equal to the number in front of the D......in other words; if you have Blaster 4D+1; you could improve it to a maximum of 5D+1 and to improve it first to 4D+2 would cost 4 skill points; to improve it to 5D would cost 4 more skill points (or 8 total); and to improve it to 5D+1 would cost 5 more skill points (or 13 total).
The next adventure will be a bit darker and have a bit of a more Jedi focus for La'Reth (but don't worry; Everyone will still VERY much be involved) and I will have a slight 'Intermission' post to set up Borsk a bit and outline the situation as the adventure will start with everyone in a stolen ship, trading shots with a group of Bounty Hunters in a pursuing ship; in the skies over a planet at the very fringes of the Outer Rim Territories.
Everybody still interested?
In all seriousness, thanks to all of you for being outstanding players and making these adventures a lot of fun for me!

Yes indeed.....and Bane can try to figure out who "Spock" is.

Re: OOC Thread
Jedi: I forgot to mention; basically Banshee had his innards shot out with a Blaster Bolt; he can be repaired and will function as a normal R2 unit again but he won't be along for the next adventure. The one after that though (if people are still wanting to do this, that is
); he'll have a purpose for a scene or two.

Yeah, you did mention that, just not in-game. So of course Zinn is going to still have Banshee in mind as being operable until he sees the damage.max_vale wrote:Jedi: I forgot to mention; basically Banshee had his innards shot out with a Blaster Bolt; he can be repaired and will function as a normal R2 unit again but he won't be along for the next adventure. Re: OOC Thread
I've made some updates.
I went from 4D in Alter to 5D (12 points), 3D to 3D+2 in Sense (6), and 2D+2 to 3D in Hide/Sneak (2).
Did I get that correct?

Re: OOC Thread
Awesome; thanks everyone for being great players and continuing on!
Next up will be the little 'intermission' scene with La'Reth and then it will be on to: DOMAIN OF EVIL
Meanwhile....everyone please let me know what skills they'd like to increase/improve; If anyone has any questions, please let me know. Please spend all or as many as you can of the points; having 1 or 2 left over is cool; but please don't hoard 5, 10, 15 pts, etc.
Angelic: thanks for doing this and updating the character sheet!

Re: OOC Thread
Grey: No problemo amigo.
Okay, so if you go to the "House Rules/Modifications" thread; the second post will have a list of all the skills; each is linked to one of the 6 attributes.
Every character basically has EVERY skill. The default value for each skill is the same as the Attribute rating; so in your case; GAVIN has 3D in all six attributes; which means every skill starts at 3D as well. (Storm is quite well-rounded!
)
When the characters were created; they had 7D to divide among skills; Gavin's original player put those Dice in Blaster (2D), Dodge (2D), Con (1D), Brawling (1D), and Computer Operation (1D); which are added to the base attribute score (in Gavin's case, 3D) for the scores you see on the sheet (i.e. Blaster 5D....3D for DEX 3D, +2D for what was put into it).
After character creation; at the end of each adventure a number of skill points are given out (like XP in D&D). These are used to increase skills as the player sees fit; with the only caveat being that any particular skill can only be increased a maximum of 1D (or 3 pips) at any one time. To increase a skill by one pip costs a number of skill points equal to the number in front of the D; so in Gavin's case for example; if you wanted to increase his Blaster skill 2 pips; to go from 5D to 5D+2; this would cost 10 skill points; 5 to increase it from 5D to 5D+1; and 5 more to increase it from 5D+1 to 5D+2.
Remember; any skill you don't have listed; you still have at your attribute rating....so if you wanted to put points in say...Gunnery (listed under MECH); you could spend 3 skill points and be able to write down the skill as Gunnery: 3D+1.
This all make sense?

Re: OOC Thread

Re: OOC Thread
Well; I may have forgot to mention; but you can only increase any 1 skill by a maximum of 1D (3 pips) at a time; so your point expenditure to increase the 3 skills you listed would go like this;
Blaster: currently at 5D, so spending 5 skill points makes this 5D+1….no problems there
Gunnery; currently at default attribute rating of 3D; so spending 9 points will raise it to 3D+1 (3 pts); 3D+2 (3 more pts for a total of 6); to a final of 4D (3 more points for a total of 9 pts); which is a 3 pip/1D improvement, the maximum.
Computer Operation; currently at 4D; so spending 4 points will increase it to 4D+1.
This leaves you with 2 skill points; which in Gavin's case is not enough to improve anything else (since all of his skills are a minimum of 3D)….so you can save these 2 points.
This okay/make sense? If so; I'll go ahead and update Gavin Storm's post on the PCs thread to read: Blaster: 5D+1; Gunnery: 4D; and Computer Operation: 4D+1.
Final note: I just want to make sure you understand that Computer Operation relates to Computers as-in laptops, pocket computers, etc. If you were trying to improve Gavin's abilities to use Shields, Sensors and Communications on Star Fighters/Space ships/etc.; there's a skill called Systems Operation (under MECH) that covers these. I wasn't sure if this was clear…..if you're cool with the Computer Operation improvement; that's cool; but if you meant Systems Operation; you could improve that to 3D+2 and have no left over Skill Points (assuming the improvement to Blaster and Gunnery as above are still go.
Let me know amigo!

That works fine for me. 2 skill points to save.
To Verify Current after spending skill points:
Gunnery 4D+1
Blaster 5D+1
Computer 4D+1

Gunnery 4D+1
Blaster 5D+1
Computer 4D+1

Re: OOC Thread
Gunnery would be 4D; which is the maximum you can raise it to; as this is 1D (3 pips) better than its previous rating of 3D.
Otherwise; yes, good to go and character sheet updated!
