Gramble will definable get a mirror with the new info, and he doesn't mind someone joining especially a wizard.

Fisherman Joe

"Well we aint trying to rob you guys, so we wont charge you any more than we did the first time. 10 gold coins sounds about right to me."

He holds out his hand and smiles like a kid in a candy shop.

Alordan considers the price and how many coins he has left - which is exactly 10. "How about a small discount for a repeat client?"

Mirrors can be purchased at the Hi-Lo if you want to RP that out.

If not...... its gonna cost the small fortune of 50gp.

Joe seems almost insulted, but that wears off quickly.

"Ok, then. How about 9 gold this time?"

Pete looks a little nervous all of the sudden.

Alordan looks between the two men and gives the second a little stare, "You okay Pete?"

I have managed to discover a little more about the island. It seems the place is under some kind of curse, and is the current home of a rather vicious medusa! We suspected as much due to all the Minotaur statues. However, given the verification that such a dangerous creature dwells joint the island, perhaps some mirrors might be wise to purchase for each of those going, so we can potentially look at her without being turned to stone. Given how many Minotaurs she has transmogrified, it may be worth trying to get the bullmen that remain to combat her as well, it might not be possible but it is worth consideration! If we could at least find the words in Minotaur for peace and friend and medusa even, it might prove useful. Where these minotaurs have come from however as yet remains a mystery. What day you all?
Andronichishche
Andron listens intently as Saracen begins the planning meeting. His curiosity is visibly piqued at the potential for investigating a cursed island ... until mention of the rather vicious medusa. He sharply raises an index figure to interject ... until the minotaurs are mentioned ... after which Andron slowly withdraws his finger, an expression of severe consternation replacing the one so recently of excitement and adventure. Drawing himself up in his chair in an attempt to mask his misgivings on what to him is very likely a suicidal mission ... Although my abilities are meager, I will join in your expedition. It may present an opportunity to establish a peaceful relationship with the minotaurs of the island, and remove a great evil that would threaten the town. May Rao guide us in our negotiations ...

"Uh, oh sure! I'm ok! Ready for a good workout, whenever you are, sir." The younger fisherman makes a rowing motion with his arms and smiles back at you.

"Nine gold will work then?"

Maag

"I got a mirror right 'ere", announces Maag, holding it up proudly and, possibly accidentally, using it to flash the sunlight into everybody's eyes.

"'ow about we split der cost of der trip? Der bunch of us dat went last time all came back wiv more dan twenty gold each, an' der's probably more still over dere."

"Now der's even more of us goin' I reckon if we all pony up one gold each we'll 'ave enough to pay der price easy".

Yes that sounds most equitable. says the holy champion of Pholtus, his grim toothed visage bobbing up and down to indicate his agreement more visually.

Do you know anyone that can speak the Bullman’s tongue here on the main island? Saracen asks doubtfully

The pair of fishermen cant tell if the homely half-orc is talking to them or not, but they both shake their heads no in unison.

The closest language I know they may understand is gnoll. Although, I would suggest if the minotaur are indeed being magically transported to the island, as it's not their natural habitat, they may be close to exhausting the island's fauna for food. Perhaps if we bring a large amount of fresh meat, and with a promise of more, that may be sufficient to secure an alliance?

This is how the party will shape up on the morning of the 15th.

Sir Crestbrook the Mighty

A medusa!! Cursed retched creature of evil!! Tomorrow we slay it!! He thrust his fist upwards into the air. His comrades can tell that the paladin has practiced this move several times before for dramatic effect!

Lerrick

The cleric rolls her eyes at the paladin's latest gesture.

"I do not speak the language of the bull men, but I may be of use in other ways and am willing to join this expedition. I unfortunately do not have enough coin to purchase a mirror but I could contribute some if we need another one and others can also contribute."

Tlachtga has 4 first level spells.

The cleric ponders the predicament for a few more minutes. I've heard of such creatures but I have never faced one. What are its defenses? Can standard, non magical enhanced melee weapons cause it damage? Does it have any weakened to types of spells?

"I have never encountered a medusa either, but legends I have heard are that you can not look into its eyes, even when it is dead. Also it is best to cut its head off, without looking at it of course."

Ok, gang. We are going to get this one started up again. If there are any others who still want to join in, they better decide soon. :D

Back To Cat Turd Baech
Moonday, 15th of Goodmonth
Early Morning, Rainy, Misty, Humid

The familiar out-of-work fishing duo of Joe and Pete are glad to see their cash cow group returning to their dingy in the morning. Joe pulls his oversized collar up to protect him from the rainfall and holds out his hand for the 9 promised pieces of gold as the party climbs inside their well worn vessel. Pete flexes his arms and grabs ahold of the oars, ready for his morning work out.

When Joe sees that one of the newcomers has a dog with them, he comments on it. "If yer mutt jumps out of the boat, we aint going back for it. Are ye sure ye can handle that thing once we get out on the open water, young missy?"

Actions before we shove off?

Marching order?

Alordan enters the boat and will be toward the front of the group when they land to survey the beach for tracks or new activity. He expects to see some...

"We want to get Cora's body and put it to rest. Do we explore the island itself first, or head to the caves directly? We need to keep an eye on those trees with the vines - no one expects them to be friendly? Perhaps they were trying to capture a minotaur but we got in the way? Tough to say... We expect any number of minotaurs if that dais is how they get in... Other thoughts?"
