Once on the bridge, Carlos makes his calculations, inputs the outbound path to Connie and sits back as Pedro gets permission to lift. The lift and turn onto the outbound path goes smoothly, 108 minutes to jump.

Given the "GO!" Pedro nods to Carlos and says, "Here we go!"

Connie Malone lifts smoothly and steadily accelerates until the ship is in orbit. Using Carlos' calculations the ship turns and accelerates out toward the jump location he has picked. It will be an hour and 18 minutes before the ship is in position to enter jump space.

"Yes, Captain Pedro. All systems feel perfect to me.", is the cheerful reply from the ship, "The new grav modules are running so much more smoothly than the old ones were."

Carlos relays the forward view back to the biofreight lounge monitor, then keys the intercom. "Good afternoon. This is the XO. Thank you again for flying Connie Malone. We have left atmosphere and should be reaching the jump point in one hour, 10 minutes. The ship is tracking perfectly, ground control has promised us clear skies in the outbound flight corridor. We have routed the view repeater to feed the passenger lounge monitor for those who care to watch our outbound path. Again, thank you."

Sigrun wipes the bowl with a hunk of bread and chews whilst confiding to Zaki "Mr. Petamore is one of those "land scouts" she explains fishing for Imperial vocabulary "less crazy, more hygiene. He is completely helpless in zero gee" her eyes go momentarily soft as she blissfully admires John Lee and sighs "Han er så søt".
