Mac
Mac is content to follow through portals. His mind is preoccupied with a few things.
Why are the bodies gone from the game room, and where did they go?
What is the meaning of the note he found?
How long before another group of people is found?

Leaving the Game Room
Day 3
Mid Morning
Elitir takes the lead in the familiar hallway, moving directly across and entering through the southern portal in this long hall.
Zefarrel speaks of a brown dog, to which the half-orc replies that she likes dogs. Finnigan wonders if she means roasted or smoked.
The sick little mapper scribbles frantically as the group continues trying random portals. Mac and Grossphil stay silent, almost too silent. At least the group can be sure that Mac is still with them, as they haven't see the elf for several hours.
The southern black void brings them into the Dining hall again, (3) this time through the eastern portal. The room looks exactly as they left it.
Actions?
Elitir 21/22
Zefarrel 20/20 1/4 first 3/3 second
Grossphil 16/16 2/2 first 1/1 second Invisible
Mac 7/7 2/2 first 1/1 second
Sprig 10/10 2/2 first
Finnigan 25/25

Zefarrel: I think we should continue mapping the portals. How about we go back through this eastern portal we just came through?

"OK, back through the same portal."

Sprig turns to face the pile of soiled tapestries in the corner without approaching, looking for any change. He cocks his head and listens to discern if he can still hear the rustling sound...

Gingwatzim Room
Day 3
Mid Morning
Sprig can still hear the scratching noises at the pile, but he doesn’t notice any visible difference.
Finnigan wonders if the group will ever find a room they haven’t seen yet and, right on cue, they do.
The eastern portal in the dining hall brings you all into an interesting room. Completely round, this large circular area houses the 4 ubiquitous black portals, spaced out evenly around the walls. The floor is sectioned off into four quadrants, with semi-circular lines painted in bright orange.
There is a large sign hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room. Written in common, goblinoid, and magic argot, is the following warning:
Gingwatzim Exibit
DO NOT CROSS ORANGE LINES!!!
Each of the four quadrants has a sign hanging on the wall, apparently naming its display.
The NW quadrant sign reads: Tim
Against the stone wall sits a glass display cabinet. Inside floats a blue globe of light that shines out in a 5’ radius. There also appears to be a small potted plant and an amulet inside the glass box. Two hobgoblins are lying motionless on the floor next to the cabinet, inside of the orange warning line.
The NE sign reads: Pakim
This quadrant contains a square glass display case that holds a green floating sphere of light and a dagger. There is a second floating green sphere flitting here and there outside of the glass box, but it stays inside the orange line.
SW: Graegzim
This quadrant contains a glass cabinet with a floating grey sphere of light. There is a shortsword in the cabinet as well and a staff lying on the floor, outside of the cabinet.
SE: Eoluzim
The glass cabinet in this quadrant is broken. There are no spheres of light or other items beyond the orange warning line.
Actions?
I added this room to my overall map for you, CP.

Zefarrel: I suggest I use divining magic to help us make a decision here. Unfortunately, I have none available today.

Re: Home Sweet Home
Finnigan nods at the staff, "Doesn't someone want to try and reach that staff there with a long object, like a 10' pole? Or a battle axe?"

Re: Home Sweet Home
Zefarrel: Perhaps each case represents a person of a class. Maybe a companion in the owners party. The plant and amulet is maybe a druid. The dagger is a thief. The staff was in the broken one representing the mage. The short sword a fighter. (frowns). Maybe. So would it be helpful to restore the broken one? Or free (break) the others?
I could pray for some augury spells, tomorrow, to help shed some light on the situation.

“An augury would be nice...” says Sprig, “In the meantime, which one of you is the mage?” he says loudly, standing near the orange line around the empty case where he can take in all the other restricted areas. He looks for any response in the orbs: twitching, bobbing, etc.

Grossphil the Feeble
"I vote we air on the side of caution and wait for Zefarrel to get her augury spells tomorrow." Grossphil mutters nervously, still making sure he's far away from Sprig, "The food here just magically replenishes anyway so theoretically we have all the time in the world. I want to get out of this death, disease-ridden trap as much as all of you, but we don't want to blindly rush into anything if we don't need to."

Finnigan nods, "I'm fine with that, as well. Let's find a place where we can rest."

Gingwatzim Room
Day 3
Mid Morning
Finnigan suggests that someone try to pull the staff outside of the warning line, maybe someone with a long handled ax. The others warn against it until some divining magic can be used.
Sprig tries the simple approach first and speaks out. “Which one of you is the mage?” He receives no reply and no indication that any of the items on display understood him.
Grossphil isn't concerned about time in the least, even though Sprig is starting to look a little more pale by the second.
Elitir suggests moving along through another portal, though none are chosen.
And after sleeping in a quiet bedroom for the last two days, the dwarf's main concern is finding a good place to rest.
Actions?

Re: Home Sweet Home
Sprig coughs twice and looks mildly disappointed at the lack of reaction from the colored orbs. He then turns and, without crossing the line, inspects the broken case to see if he can gain any insight into how it was broken. Sling stone? arrow? Sword stroke? Was it broken perhaps from the inside?

Re: Home Sweet Home
Some of the glass pieces are still on the inside of the broken display case, and some are on the floor around it, but none of them are scattered very far from its base. There is no definitive evidence as to what actually broke the glass.

Mac
Mac is deep in thought when Elitir suggests grabbing something. "It might be unwise to go against the warnings posted in this place. There is magic here way beyond my understanding."
Mac looks around and continues. "Let me try something. This may not be what it seems." With that Mac pulls out his gem and looks around through it. He looks specifically at the items, the globes, and the signs.
