Buckey looks around the room with consternated by the lack of Orcs, Gorthak curses the ceiling trying to reason with the dumb animals, and Gort goes into a rage, "RAAARRRHHRRRRR! GORT MAAAADDD!"

As Gorthak takes a bread he realizes that Esilia is nowhere in sight. She was by his side the whole way until he passed through the doorway. He notices several sconces spaced periodically around the circular wall with torches ready to be lit, then realizes the torch in his hand is nearing the end of its life (maybe ten minutes left). He can smell the filth of the Orcs now, along with humans and of course the horse and donkeys.

Gort scurries up the ladder with Buckey close on his heals. The wooden hatch flies away to one side as he bursts through the opening with a growl. As he lurches into the space above he notices two Orcs coming down the ladder from above and a third moving toward him from the far side of a large table, on the south side of the room, wielding a hand axe with a nasty gleam on his face. There are three torches burning in sconces around the room.

[Orc 1 – Nasty Fellow 1] (HD: 1) (AC: 12)
Action: Eyeballs Gort for a good time

Orc 1 moves around the table toward the center of the room, eyeballing Gort the whole way, with a wicked smile, showing all of his nasty ivory tinted sharpened teeth. He grunts something in broken common, “Gonna giv ya somthin’ good boy!

Initiative [1d10] = 10, Hand Axe [1d20+2] = 16+2 = 18, Damage [1d4+2] = 3+2 = 5

[Orc 2 – Flying Acrobatic 1] (HD: 1) (AC: 10)
Action: Performs his flying circus trapeze act on whoever happens to be close by.

Orc two stops mid climb and looks down when the hatch flies open. He reaches to his side, pulls out a rather nice looking dagger, and launches himself at the nearest individual with a gut curdling howl, “Yarrrrrrgle

Initiative [1d10] = 8, Dagger [1d20+2] = 13+2 = 15, Damage [1d4+2] = 1+2 = 3

DEX-DC [3d6-1] = 9-1 = 8

[Orc 3 – Sidekick 1] (HD: 1) (AC: 10)
Action: Attacks the monsters!

Orc 3 quickly makes his way the rest of the way down the ladder, with much less flair and style than his fellow mate, and attacks anyone not of an Orcish nature with his rusty shortsword.

Initiative [1d10] = 9, Shortsword [1d20+2] = 2+2 = 4, Damage [1d6] = 1

Yep, that was my fault. I didn't make that very clear. A ladder runs through each floor of the tower, at the same location on the floor plan, making one long ladder to the top. The Orcs were coming down from the 3rd floor to meet Gort and Buckey who had just entered the 2nd floor.

Sorry about that. I will try to be more clear next time.

Sorry all, looks like I missed a bunch. Life and work is not making a whole lot of time for the Unseen.

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] {HP:4/10} {AC:9}
Action: Catching up to the group

Jyrbian looks up after properly chastising his molerat slave as well as teaching it about the facts of proper slavedom, finding that everyone has apparently taken off in some kind of rush towards the tower. He can just barely make out what seems to be combat, or at least people yelling. He will head over to the tower as well, casually entering the tower entrance and seeing his bovine and elven companion, both heading towards the ladder towards the second level, sounds of intense combat coming from above. He calls out to the two at his level, "What have we found here?"

Summary, 2nd Floor: Round 1

Buckey, eager for Orc blood, intercepts Orc 1 before Gort can stab it with his spear. Buckey’s forest axe moves with precision, nearly severing the Orc’s head from its body. The wicked smile slowly disappears from its face as it falls to the floor. Buckey stands panting over the body, a slight smile creasing his lips.

Gort doesn’t have a chance to move before the Orc’s body hits the floor with a thud. Then he hears the cry of Orc 2 slighty above him. Gort turns just in time to see the evil creature flying through the air, directly at him, a gleaming dagger in hand. Gort raises his spear point to meet the Orc, and the tip slides through the side of the Orc’s stomach and out the other side. The spear lodges firmly therein. The Orc lets out a guttural cry and falls to the floor with Gort’s spear firmly in its grimy grip. It begins struggling to regain its feet.

Orc 3 drops from the ladder and charges Gort, but the savage is ready and easily dodges the Orc’s shortsword.

Esilia appears out of thin air behind Gort and Buckey and begins speaking in a strange language. A moment later the two Orcs slump to the floor. “Those things are nasty looking,” she says and shivers noticeably, then “There are more upstairs.” She quickly moves to the east corner of the room where two humans and a female Elf are bound and gagged. The humans begin to struggle in their bindings but the female Elf, with stark white hair, is unmoving, her eyes closed. Esilia shakes the Elf saying, “Delea, Delea, wake up Delea!” She looks to Buckey and Gort, “She won’t wake up, why wont she wake up?

Shouting in Orcish and foot stomping can be heard from the floor above.

Summary, 1st Floor: Round 1

Gorthak, Elktran, and Seeker remain on the first floor with the 2 Donkey’s and the horse. The sounds of battle echo from the floor above and the animals move nervously in their stalls.

Shortly after Elktran enters the 1st floor he hears a moaning coming from the NE corner of the room.

Seeker’s Molerat begins to struggle and moan loudly, which in turn scares the other animals in the room and they begin to make noises

As Gorthak readies himself for battle he suddenly catches scent of something other than Orc, Elf, Human, pack animal, or Molerat. Some other thing has been in this chamber, and recently. The scent is strong and seems to originate from the hole in the floor. It has a distinct reptilian smell, but not quite, something other.

Gort - Savage 0 lv (HP: 10/10; AC 11)
Action: Climb ladder to 3rd floor

Gort pauses, wrenching his spear from the corpse of the orc, he nods approval at Buckey, and then hearing sounds of footsteps above, his eyes and attention snap to the floor above. He snorts and bounds to the ladder with spear in hand, clambering up right below the door, spear at the ready. He intends to surprise and poke anyone who is stupid enough to open the portal.

OOC: Gort will head up the ladder first unless Buckey wants to. Either way, Gort is fine. He is filled with bloodlust, and the thought of killing orcs has got him all crazy-go-nuts.

SLIGHT EDIT/CLARIFICATION: Gort will head up, but he'll stop below the door, since they know we are coming, it would probably be foolish to jump through there, so he'll wait till someone opens it.

Buckey will be fine using Gort as a shield as they go to the next floor-not for protection but to disguise his movements from the orcs so he can kill the most dangerous looking one of the bunch once he's up there.

Gorthak tosses what remains of his torch down the hole in the floor rather than out the door.

"Hmm is that our lost Lizard man friend in the hole in the floor or some other foe?" he says loud enough to be heard by at least the 1st floor habitants.

Summary, 2nd Floor: Round 2

While Esilia unties the two humans and tries to wake Delea, Gort runs up the ladder, stopping just before the hatch, spear in hand, ready to jab the first ugly that appears. Buckey follows close on his heels.

The stomping gets louder as a deep voice shouts orders in Orcish on the third floor. The hatch suddenly flies open and a scrawny Orc jumps on the ladder without looking down and begins to descend.

Summary, 1st Floor: Round 1

Gorthak grabs the half lit torch he carried in, stokes it a bit with his heavy breath, and drops it into the opening in the floor. As the torch falls, flickering yellowish light on the walls of the 5’ diameter shaft, he notices the sides of the shaft appear to be mined or chewed away in a very smooth manner, and the shaft is nearly circular. Only the last few feet of tunnel seem to be broken with jagged edges. Chunks of stone are scattered around the edges of the opening, tapering off a few feet away. There are two bloody smear marks, running from the busted stalls at the NW corner of the room, to the edge of the tunnel. The torch drops several hundred yards then goes out in a shower of sparks.

As Gorthak stands looking over the edge of the hole, watching his torch fall, for what seems forever, he hears a moaning coming from the grated drain opening in the NE corner of the room.

Actions!

Still waiting on Seeker’s and Elktran’s actions for this round on the 1st floor. I believe MonkeyWrench went to Chicago, so we won’t hear from until next week, though we probably wouldn’t have heard from him this weekend anyway. We can move forward without him.

[Orc 4 – Scrawny Fellow 1] (HD: 1) (AC: 11)
Action: Going to stab something before his master stabs him.

Orc 4 jumps on the ladder just as the hatch is opened, intent on stabbing something on the floor below, before his master stabs him. He shimmies down the ladder with great speed, a rusty shortsword in hand.

Initiative [1d10] = 5, Shortsword [1d20] = 7, Damage [1d6] = 2

[Orc 5 – Scrawnier Fellow 1] (HD: 1) (AC: 11)
Action: Follows his scrawny mate.

Orc 5 jumps on the ladder, nearly stepping on the hands of Orc 4, intent to also not get stabbed by his master.

Initiative [1d10] = 6, Shortsword [1d20] = 1, Damage [1d6] = 3
