Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Elanriel's Crit on the queen Eviscerating hit 3x dmg rolled
Alright rolling Init to see how this pans out....
7's both act at the same time.... oh boy.
Initiative NPCs [1d10]=7 PCs [1d10]=7
Queen Ilyana attacks Elanriel at the same time as she is attacked hitting for 10 dmg!
Both get hit good but the Queen stands there stunned look as she looks down at her chest and sees Elanriel's sword sticking through her chest right where her heart is. She drops her sword and lets out a gasp as the life escapes her "H...h.how?" and she drops to her knees at first then flops over against the wall bleeding out as her sword falls to the floor.
Seeing their queen dead both clerics stop fighting and surrender. "We give up! both say. The zombies in the room drop to the floor no longer animated.
Misha calls into the room "Guards coming, be ready!" she enters the room where she can and starts to shut the doors. But is too slow only getting one door closed the five guards stop and stare in through the one door and see many things one the two clerics favored of the queen surrendering, two the ogre fighting with the intruders (you guys) and lastly their dead queen against the wall and they two in but a blink of an eye throw down their weapons you hear them clattering to the floor their commander calls in "We surrender. If she's dead we don't want to do this no more."

To the queens guards, "Drop your weapons, gear and coin now. Swear your allegiance to us and if there is good in your heart you may yet live."
If the party has no objections.
To the party, 'We should search the gear and get the treasures from this fortress. We can secure the fortress with those guards that favor living and can be trusted. If they are of good heart. If evil they will be killed or exiled. We can get the reinforcements here at once. "
Trist while bluffing on the reinforcements can send a scout to request guards to come here to take this over for the region.

"Agreed, we need to get a message out quickly and secure the fortress."
Egon will move to the clerics and make sure they are unarmed and any item, including jewellery etc. is removed. He wants to make sure they don't have any magic items on them.
"The first sign of either of you casting a spell and you get it hard, understand?"

The priest cancels his Heat Metal spell.
"We might want to get them out of their armour. Careful though, one of them is getting a little warm, looks like nice armour." he gestures towards Bernal.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
The guards in the hallway comply dropping their belt pouches to the floor and their weapons are already there. They then begin to remove their armor down to just their clothing. "We humans were only mercs. We have no good nor evil intent for the most part the only asshole among us the ogre there killed already. If anything we're more neutral than evil." the leader informs you.
Bernal "Ah, ow, cancel this infernal spell so I can comply won't you." he skin is steaming a bit from his armor still and the sizzle similar to bacon is heard by all near him.
Petrides weapon already on the floor starts to remove his armor "You know me from our last encounter I am not evil by intent more chaotic. I dean only to work on creating shambling mounds and my golems. The queen promised me a lot and I couldn't find anywhere else at the time to go. Do as you ddeam fit with me. I accept my fate no matter what it is."
Sergreb "I'm with you, you know I'm not evil like my kin. Though the only real trouble we'll have is either sealing off the mines or killing all of the hobgoblins, orcs and goblins within. Though the gobs are mostly slaves not evil of intent it's really just those orcs, hobgobs and the taller orogs. That are really evil."

"We can take care of the evil once the reinforcement arrives. We'll appease them or kill them as needed until the reinforcements arrive and we deal with them as needed. Once we get this place sacked, we can provide basic armor and weapons to those who'll follow us if we are all agreed. The Golem/shambling mound if we control them for good perhaps can be continued if we are all agreed. You will direct us to all areas in the fortress avoiding traps with focus on treasury and armory and private secret areas. Any trouble and you'll not find mercy. Well start with all the gear here and the queen's stuff. Once we have it all we can place it in a room where we can rest to gather our strength taking turns of watch. Any casters will wear armor until the reinforcements arrive."
Trist starts gathering items to be examined and coin pouches.

Bernal once his armor cools removes it to comply. "You won't need look too far those three doors over there will lead you do finding some of the treasury." trying to remember without looking in the module but I do think one of the doors on the right side is a treasury room.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
no traps are found the doors are locked but you find a few sets of keys one from the dead queen, one from Bernal and the other the lead guard all that fit and work in those doors.
The smaller room with a bed and altar in it belong to Bernal. The larger bedroom is the queen's bed chamber. The last door closest to the throne is the treasury containing 3 large chests. You find another key that works on the locks of the chests. Inside the first two chests are two large sacks, each sack contains ar very large sum of money, one is all gold coins, the next is all electrum coins, one is all platinum coins and the last one is all silver coins. something like that, winging it without opening the module. The third chest contains various items, you suspect that might contain magical attributes.
The altar in Bernal's room is to the god Ibrandul. (CN lesser god of the underworld, The Skulking God.)
Pertides you already know is a cleric of Moander. (CE dead power, The Rotting God.)

"Does anyone have detect magic handy, probably should check everything in here, including the chests and coins."
He will shift through the coins since he has time and make sure nothing is hidden in them.
