First step is to post a character in the Characters thread. Then I'll bring you in somehow.

added! sorry bout that.
Maybe start off with only the 5e Basic Rules like Eris did here. He's using the Hardcore rules as well but you don't have to, just use the free Basic Rules.Edeldhur wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 4:09 pm I think I would be interested in running a D&D 5e game - still feel I would like to get to (better) know the system, and running it might be a good way to go about it. Something really simple - Core rules and classes only. Maybe pregens even, if there are Core ones.
Completely railroad-y and episodic to keep it even simpler. Along the lines of 'you were called to do this ands that, you traveled x days and now you are at the so and so place. Go!'. Perhaps with some downtime between 'adventures'.
I have definitely got my eye on the Hardcore rules, but would like to try the 'standard' rules first, before making adjustmentsybn1197 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:37 pmMaybe start off with only the 5e Basic Rules like Eris did here. I think this must have some 5th ed D&D update. Certainly the original Slavery series set in Highport began life as a tournament game with a load of pre-generated characters. I would imagine Eljayess, Blodgett & co' have been updated to relevant 5th ed class tropesEdeldhur wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 3:17 pmInterested! Heard a lot about A0, but never had a chance to play it. Now that we are talking about it. never played the Slavers series eitherStirling wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 3:07 pm I was reading through a few modules and games set in Highport of the Greyhawk setting Pomarj fame and the original scene for the much lauded Slavers series.
Danger at Darkshelf Quarry and Lowdown in Highport are two pre-Slaver modules that could feasible be run with players as humanoid characters based in Highport and the wider setting for urban based adventures.
Any thoughts or interests in a 1e D&D with Half-Orcs, Gnolls & Kobolds?![]()

Unfortunately I was unable to find a conversion of the Dungeon 215 adventure The Last Slave Lord.
A user by the name of Luz wrote nice reviews on these two modules over on Cannonfire:ybn1197 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 4:10 pm A0: Danger at Darkshelf Quarry - https://www.dmsguild.com/product/185672 ... elf-Quarry

That issue of Dungeon Magazine is available on DriveThruRPG, and is currently on sale for $2.99:The Last Slavelord in Dungeon Magazine #215 serves as a direct sequel (or perhaps an encore) to the original series...
Thanks Dave! I forgot about those but that did remind me of Pacesetter's A1: Path of the Slave Masters:dmw71 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 5:14 pm Then, unofficially, Carlos of CASL Entertainment has continued the A-series with A5-A10*:
A5 - Kill Marquessa! (print, pdf)
A6 - Die, Marquessa, Die! (print, pdf)
A7 - Marquessa, Thy Name is Evil (print, pdf)
A8 - From Dark Roses, Black Thorns Grow (print, pdf)
A9 - Thicker Than Water (print, pdf)

*A10 - Crescendo & Coda
Oh, nice. I wasn't aware of this one. I'll have to keep my eyes out for it.ybn1197 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 5:32 pm I forgot about those but that did remind me of Pacesetter's A1: Path of the Slave Masters:
A1 Path of the Slave Masters is the first adventure in a four-part series. However, each adventure can be played separately and independent of the series. This series is designed, in general, as a sequel to TSR’s iconic Slave Lord series of modules. These adventures begin approximately 30 years after the original Slave Lords were defeated. It is not necessary to have played, or read, the original Slave Lord series to play this series.
Bill does not currently have it for sale, but maybe one day he will again...
