The Princess
"Fascinating. Simply incredible. These plaques seem to be generating wish-level effects." She turns to Luther.
"A goose? It seemed diabolical, you were chanting words that I've only heard in warnings from my teachers. Perhaps you should rest a bit and gather yourself. We can have a cleric take a look at you."
"Luther, being a priest of Phyton if there is something I can do to help please let me know."
Wake looks over the grumpy ranger, but doesn't see any signs that the man was affected physically by his chosen plaque.
The bearmans group seems to be ready to start out along their mission, gaining another good sword arm when Keg asks if he can accompany them as well.
Luther, Keg, Wake, TK, and Amun do a quick meet and greet before finalizing their plans to set out.
If this group is ready to go, say the word and we will get you started. Urson can name the thread, if he so chooses. If you cant come up with a good title, I will take others suggestions as well.

Feanol
"Well sir drive on, and let us see what we find at Beachtown", she says leaning close to Keyon, then glancing back at the two on back she awaits the surge of movement.

Sir William Narramore
The knight hesitates, looks at those assembled, then nods once.
"I will go. An extra sword-arm is never amiss in this wild place." He climbs aboard and looks suspiciously down at the floating carpet beneath him before making fast and preparing to fly.
Keyon
Once all are aboard, the young elf glances over his shoulder.
"Ready?" He commands the carpet to fly in the direction of town, rising higher as they get further from the cliffs and the chance of flying predators lessens. (Or so he hopes) If the sky looks clear to all aboard, he will rise higher above the surrounding terrain to be well out of reach of any assault from the ground, hoping to make a giant hop to Beachtown and back.
If there are flying predators threatening, he will remain lower to the ground and take advantage of cover.
If we need a separate thread to attempt this little mission, may I suggest naming it "In and Out"?

Wake is ready to go as well if there is nothing he can do to help the Ranger.

The Princess
The sound of gems clinking draws her attention. "That's quite a pile you've got there Keg. I know quite a bit about gems and would be glad to examine the lot for you. Just don't let those dwarves get wind of your good fortune." The Princess bows graciously at the newly moneyed Keg. "Nallissa and I are starting a banking service for the adventurers, keeping things safe and secure while they are out doing adventuring stuff. If you'd like me to hold them for you, I would gladly do so. I would keep them with my own treasure."
She will appraise any gems that he presents, and is interested in examining that sphere.

That was a year and half ago?
I would've sworn it was in may of this year.

I don't think we need to make up a separate thread for a quick jaunt up the beach, so I will just detail what happened on the flying carpet and you can react accordingly.
Keyon seems rather full of himself as he escorts the elven ladies and Elnaerel's pretty new friend on their trip back to town. Once th group is situated upon the magic rug, the former pirate takes off, trying to put on a little show for anyone gathered. After seeing the sensational magic item, most of the townies starts asking around about drawing a card for themselves.
The trip to town goes by uneventfully, though the scenery is quite nice from a quick moving vessel that the insects cant keep up with. The only thing missing is a good bug screen to keep the chunks off the thief's teeth. He brings the rug high over the tree tops, looking up at the rising elevation of jungle further inland. When the carpet master notices something watching them soaring just above the trees, Keyon wisely lowers the craft again to attract less attention.

Once in town, Elnaerel is able to visit Nallissa at the Hi-Lo to purchase an overpriced but good quality morningstar.
(25gp please) There seems to be a concern in town about a rising number of dwarves hanging out around their area, but so far no trouble has come from the reports of a group going up against the Stoneguts recently and going so far as to kill some of their clansmen in cold blood. There is a slight buzz in the air that something might happen soon, but so far everything seems as it did.
The gear they came for is collected and the foursome is soon on their way back to the budding Clifftown area. They see the disturbance in the sand along the beach that a few people discussed tending to, but they get no sighting of the elusive sea monster from their aerial vantage point. The return trip is equally uneventful and the crew is soon reunited with the others again to rest out the night.
If I missed anything or you needed a bit more interaction, let me know and we can sort it out before other groups leave.

Luther
Luther nods and shakes his head at the offers for assistance. Don't worry about it- Just a chill. If I need help, I'll ask. But thanks.
He looks over the group. We'll form a line- side by side, about five paces between. We move slow and cautious, weapons ready. If you see something you're not sure about, speak up. If you see a patch of trees with things that look like green gourds about so big, STOP. They're a vicious little plant-creature we call vege-pygmies. Don't bother them.
Luther takes a spot in the middle, people ranged to either side.
As for a title for the mission: 'Expanding the map' ?

Fine by me, OM. And here you have your 25gp, good sir. Gold, inventory and encumbrance adjusted in consequence.
Elnaerel
"So, it looks that it'll be the four of us for that animal rescue mission? Is anyone else coming?
Keyon, you wanted to kill that beast. I hear you, but we didn't see anything of it on the way back and Feanol might be right. It could work as a bulwark against the dwarves."

Eyeing the stones and whatnot in the bag and then the curious elf...
What's that going to cost me?

Now that we are back...shall we (Keyon, Narramore, Feanol, and Elnaerel) continue with the idea of scouting for herds of the lizards, or would you all feel safer joining one of the larger groups this go-round?
A thief, cleric, paladin, and mage is a well-balanced little group, and we can all fit on the carpet and travel quickly. But the island is a crazy place, so a party of 6 or 8 might help our chances of survival.
I'm open to either.

The Princess
She pauses at the question, seemingly turning over things in her mind. Finally, she nods.
"I see two options. I can appraise them for you at a small cost to you, discounted for volume. OR you and I can have a conversation about a business opportunity. This bounty you've received rivals my own and would contribute a good base of currency to start our banking venture. I'll have to discuss with my partner, Nallissa, of course. We would exchange gold for gems, appraise goods and jewelry, and even store wealth. All for a fee. You would be buying in at the beginning."
She smiles.
"Give it a thought. I can even hold your goods for free until you decide, so you don't risk dropping them in the river. I'd give you a marker signifying your holdings."
The Princess appears sincere.
