Jyrbian, gets a firm hold on the squirming and squealing molerat, speaking in low but stern tones to the young creature,
"You will hold still and shush your racket! I say this so you will obey!"
Jyrbian Dex(12): [3d6] = 18 Booya, Antman!... unless I need to roll under my Dex... then Oh Sheet!!
If he does in fact make his save then the next chance they get Jyrbian will grab some rations, both meat and vegetation, and give them to the molerat one by one, seeing what he will eat and what he will not.

Gorthak lights a torch to get a better idea of the obstacle ahead and assist those with dark handicaps. As shadows pass overhead, the group tenses up, in readiness for whatever hell-blown creazoids accost them from the rim of Satan's Crack. Several tense moments pass and nothing happens.
Jyrbian discovers that his Molerat hates the meats but greedily gobbles up any rootlike vegetation. He quiets down for a time now that he has a full belly.
Don't forget you are standing on a 2' wide shelf a mile from the floor of Satan's Crack. A fall into Satan's Crack would prove...well, unpleasant.
The party presently has a 3' gap in their path to contend with.

Gorthak silently leads on still using his sense of smell to try and alert him of anything other than those traveling with him.

The party carefully crosses the gap in the tiny ledge. Esilia flies out into the gap ready to assist any that teeter or slip, not that she could actually catch anyone who actually falls, but she tries assist as best she can. Shortly after the shadows pass overhead Gorthak catches a whiff of several distinctly reptilian scents on the air. Nothing further comes of the shadows or the reptilian scent.
The narrow ledge runs along the crack for another hundred yards then open onto a large broken ledge with boulders and debris scattered everywhere. Much of it looks very fresh, possibly a slide form the trembler felt earlier in the day. The moon casts shadows everywhere, lighting up the side of the mountain in an eerie glow.
The trail curves and winds another half mile up the outer slope. The party is forced to scramble and climb most of the way. Eventually the party comes around a sharp corner of rock and the lighthouse jumps into view, no more than fifty yards away.
The entry door stands ajar and a cold darkness stares back. A warm wind has begun to blow from the southwest. Fine bits of sand ride the winds, pelting the backs of the party members, and the crack of lighting can be heard, not too far off, in the distance. Gorthak’s torch flickers in the wind, sending sparks flying toward the lighthouse. The smell of dust chokes the air, grit begins to pile at the edges of eyes and mouths.
As the party huddles near a large chunk of stone, bathed in moonlight, Seeker’s Molerat lets out a crying moan, like the death throes of some hideous beast. The cry echoes across the face of the mountain, dying out as quickly as it began.

Buckey, Halfling Scientist {hp: 20/10, AC: 12}
Maybe this is a stupid question, or a too late or irrelevant question, but...have y'all noticed any water nearby? I mean, enough water to justify a lighthouse?

Gort - Savage 0 lv (HP: 10/10; AC 11)
Action: Moving forward
Gort scowls at the molerat and says "Rat going to get us in trouble. I think we should eat it." He then points a grubby finger at the ajar entrance door and says "Rat probably make peoples know we coming, but Gort tired of standing out here. Gort go check tower. Buckey come wit Gort? We too much for anyone inside, Gort think."
Regardless of anyone accompanying him or not, Gort will pause, check his gear, then grasp his wicked looking spear tightly and then take off at a fast crouch across the ground, heading to the open door, looking up, down and about the area to see if anyone or anything is moving. Once there, he'll pause, listening.

Gorthak
"Shhh! I don't smell humans I smell reptilians. Perhaps it is our missing lizardman but I seriously doubt it. This could be a beacon not a lighthouse for warning ships of land you know." he proceeds onward with caution.

Gort moves forward with caution, intent on gaining the shelter of the tower before something tries to eat him from above. The wind has picked up slightly, pelting the backs of the party members with grains of sand, and the cracks if thunder are getting closer. strips of dark clouds are beginning tho block out the moonlight in long strobing bursts. Gorthak follows behind Gort at an easier, more careful pace. Esilia moves along at a brisk pace, crouched low, trying to stay in Gorthak's shadow, hoping she will blend into the surrounding gloom.
Gort makes it about half way when a crossbow shaft flies out of the darkness of he portal, halfway up the tower, just skimming past his head and skidding across the stones. A deep guttural voice, in rough common, shouts out from above, "You are not welcome. Go away!"
Seeker remains in the lee of the stone chastising his Molerat.

The unsavory crossbow shot by the hidden creature riles Gort’s dander to the extreme. Raising spear he charges into the darkness of the open entrance thrashing the air about him with savage lust. Gort and Buckey follow suite, promptly on Gort’s heels.
Elktran moves within a short distance of the tower and focuses every ounce of mental facility he can muster on the torch in Gorthak’s free hand. The meager flickering rays of light flare with sudden sharpness, flooding the backs of every party member and the chamber within, just as Gort darts into the entrance. A crazed shout pierces the wind from the open portal above (
Elktran recognizes the language as Orcish: “
Wizard!”).
As Gort and the others enter the lower floor a strange scene meets their eyes. In the center of the room are four heavy wooden pillars holding up the second floor. 5 stalls make up the left wall, one with a horse two with donkey’s. The walls of the last two stalls (north end) are busted and broken with bloody smear marks trailing to a large almost perfectly round hole in the floor on the north side. Several bundles hay and burlap bags are stacked along the right wall (east). Between the stalls and first two pillars on the left side (west) is a steel ladder ascending to a 3’ diameter wooden hatch in the ceiling, presently closed.
The horse bucks, kicks, and cries out in fear. All three animals tug frantically at the reigns tying them to the stall walls.
Elktran: Control Light – 12 PSP this first round, 4 PSP each additional round. (You have 18 total)…Nice Move!

Gorthak offers the torch to anyone else that can fight with one hand. "You orcs insane? You seen what lurks out there at night? We don't need to fight you and we don't come here seeking to unless you wish to be our foes." He takes a deep breathe through his nose. Once someone takes the torch he takes out his hammer.

Gort - Savage 0 lv (HP: 10/10; AC 11)
Action: Angry bum rush to ladder up
Noticing the ladder, Gort growls in savage fury, dropping his gear as he runs toward the ladder, leaping on it like a crazy monkey, scampering up with his spear. "RAAARRRHHRRRRR! GORT MAAAADDD!"
OOC: His intention is to quickly burst through the trapdoor and confront anyone behind it, preferably poking the hell out of them with his spear.
