Adventure Section 1.0
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
When Rick notices that the computer can call local and offworld, he says, "Perhaps we be calling Freala Masters also?"
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Wondering what's taking so long, Borble has twisted his facesurface around the open doorway and has overheard this. "Please, just do it. It's not necessary to be hesitant in this matter, or to pose ideas as questions. If you think an action is a good idea, then do it. I, for one, will back you up."MajorTom wrote:When Rick notices that the computer can call local and offworld, he says, "Perhaps we be calling Freala Masters also?"
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick attempts to call Mr. Garret.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Okay, your call goes to the hotel night shift manager. He says that Garret has put a do not disturb notification on his room, but he sees that you appear to be in distress. He says to hold on for a moment. You are put o hold where you view an information video on the U.P.F. as well as the endless opportunities in the Federation. After several minutes, Garret's face appears on the monitor and he looks rather miffed.
<Garret> "Yes? Have you found something important?"

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
“When we are done with the call to Garrett, see if we can review past calls?” Lloyd suggests this and would be prepared to try himself.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
"Yes," Rick replies to Mr. Garret. "We be at the mine office and there be another train here. We be going down into the mine soon. Somebody who be named Freala Masters did send message to Mr. Hyram and it be saying, 'Your delivery has been received and will be processed. We believe one more load will be sufficient to finish your project. We look forward to the last delivery and will forward the finished materials to it's next destination.'. This just be an update. We be letting you know more when we get back."

Rick adds this nugget of information to his report to Mr. Garret.cryominer wrote:"Human Rick, forget not the sample of Titanium that we found as well."MajorTom wrote:"Yes," Rick replies to Mr. Garret. <Garret> "Freala Masters? I am not familiar with her. Any idea who she might be? By the way, be careful out there. No telling what you could be getting into! I will see if I can track this Masters down from the hotel."
At this point, Garret severs the connection. When you scroll through the log of calls made, you see several strange entries in the log. You notice that a message was sent to Garret just after the mine collapse, but the transmission ended with a code of 'null'. You are not sure what this could mean.

Rick surrenders the console back to T'prin, who is much more knowledgeable about all things technical than Rick will ever be.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick, you turn to hand the console over to T'prin, but you notice he is not in the office.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick takes a last look around the office and then departs.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
T'prin chronocalls the team,
" someone is definitely in the mine, I'm at the elevator, and its down, from what limited knowledge i have, i seem to remember it stays where it is until used to go to the other end." " So, to go into the mine, we will have to call it to the surface, alerting those below that we are here. Or we wait for one or more of them to come up."
(ooc: does the ore use the same elevator as the people?Or does it have its own elevator system?)

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
From the tour we took earlier in the day, do we know how deep the mine is? How long did it take the elevator to get from the surface to the mine itself? How close is the elevator to the closed off mine shaft?
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
"Yeah," says Rick, "if they be watching the elevator. If everyone is ready, let's be going down."Teflon wrote:T'prin chronocalls the team,

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Borble takes out his spear and regards it seriously. It's a well-made, well-honed weapon, the product of UPF engineering and materials, but it's still just a spear. "I am ready. I will be near the front of the group, and I intend to move forward quickly, to rob any attackers of a range advantage."
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Once everyone indicates they are ready, Rick pushes the button for the elevator.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
T'prin approaches the elevator and says
"lets do this"
he draws his sword an stands beside Borble

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Vigg is hesitant but moves to the elevator as only lumbering draselites can, "Human Rick, time for the needler and grenades?"
