Mac
Mac takes another step back, hopefully not bumping into the invisible Grossphil. "A tinderbox, you say? And nobody brought any torches?" Mac sighs and continues. "Could a makeshift torch be made of broken furniture and cloth? It seems to me it might suffice for a short while."
"Or maybe we can open those lights on the ceiling? Does anyone have a long pole? About 10 feet or so?"

Grossphil the Feeble
Mac need not worry about bumping into the elf as he scurries back several paces so that he's as far from Sprig as possible whilst still being in the room. Feeling dissatisfied about the predicament, but with little he can do at the moment, he'll simply speak through his trusted cloth, "Nobody touch Sprig, this disease is likely contagious. Additionally, I do not have my continual light spell readied but I can certainly do that tomorrow so we have a constant source of light. We could go with Mac's idea though, as it appears nobody has torches."

Finnigan grumbles, ”We were on a damned boat. We didn’t need no damned torches, did we?”

Servants Rooms
Day 3
Morning
Mac goes back into the last room and breaks a leg off of a chair with his foot, feeling pretty mighty at the moment. He wraps an article of cotton clothing around it and pours a bit of oil upon it before striking it alight with the flint.
Taking the homemade torch in hand, he sticks it through the doorway of the dark room. This room was also clearly a bedroom at one time, but all of the furniture and other décor is now strewn about and ransacked. There is rubble spread across the floor, similar to the kitchen, but the thing that catches your eye the most is towards the back of the room. 4 heavy crossbows are set up on makeshift stands and pointed straight at the open door. Each of them has a trip wire wrapped around their triggers, likely the same one that is at your feet.
You don't see anything of value mixed in with all the clutter, but you do spot a closed wooden door that must lead into the next room.
Sprig starts scratching his butt. Not because he is sick, it just really itched.

Zefarrel: Sprig, do you think you could sneak over & disarm those X-bows?

Re: Home Sweet Home
Finnigan waits for the trap to be disarmed before entering the room. But when he does so, he moves to the other door, listens at it and examines it, and then opens it if nothing appears to be dangerous about it.

"Is anyone else itchy?" says Sprig, trying not to sound too alarmed, though there is mounting concern in his voice. "Ok. Everybody out of the way. I think you can see where those things are pointing." He will also get out of the cross-bows' path and then simply trip the wire to fire and disarm them.

Grossphil the Feeble
Grossphil shakes his head sadly at Sprig, envisioning him as a dead man walking, but he's perfectly happy having him disarm the traps. The elf will make sure he's well clear of the crossbow bolt's path (as well as the possibly diseased Sprig) and if the group does enter afterwards, he will go at the back.

Mac
Mac is holding the torch as he as always read it should be held. Feeling quite heroic and adventuresome, Mac heeds the advice of the ill thief and backs into the hallway. He sticks the torch around the corner so others can still have light in the room.
"Is this ok? Can you still see things? Let me know when it's safe."

Elitir makes sure she is out of the possible path of the crossbows and waits for Sprig to set them off.

Re: Home Sweet Home
Servants Rooms
Day 3
Morning
Sprig hooks the trip wire with one of his long picks and closes the door again. He trips the trap, sending the 4 bolts thudding harmlessly into the back of the door.
Searching through the rubbish reveals nothing of interest. The door to the next room is not locked or trapped, though there is a crudely renovated bar and brackets on the inside of the doorway.
The light shutters in this room are covered as well, keeping the room completely dark. Through Mac’s torchlight, you spot two beds pushed along one wall. You find spare, human sized, male clothing in a nearby footlocker. Under one bed is a large sack filled with an assortment of dried food rations. Under the other is a decretive coffer filled with several gold, silver, and jeweled trinkets of many shapes and sizes.
Finnigan searches a pile of weapons in one corner. He is certain that these came from the same racks that he searched in the game room. This area appears to be lived in, though you don’t find anything else of import.

Re: Home Sweet Home
"Trapped door, barred door, weapons and trinkets stolen from the other rooms... I'd say this is where the two thieves had been living."
Finnigan sorts through the weapons, but doesn't think he'll find anything better than his favoured battle axe. He does use one of the longer weapons to remove the covers from the lights to restore them to full functionality.
Then he searches the footlockers for hidden compartments, checking to make sure the dimensions inside the box are the same as the outside, minus the thickness of the sides and bottom.

Sprig takes special interest in the trinkets in the chest, looking for anything useful. Careful to maintain a distance from the others, he will eventually make his way over to examine the crudely barred door. “This looks like it was intended to keep something in there,” he says, pointing at the door. “Prisoners? Something nasty? Let’s find out.” He examines the door for traps, then listens for any movement behind it.

Re: Home Sweet Home
The bar is on the inside of the last bedroom door, and currently not in its brackets. Once employed, it would be preventing entry from the debris strewn room into the room with the beds, weapons, and trinkets.
Sorry if that wasn't clear, but Fin had the right idea.

Mac
Mac looks around at the makeshift barracks. "Well, well. It looks like we've found the lair of those two. Watch your step everyone, who knows what kind of traps they've set."
Mac starts looking around in hopes of finding any notes like the ones he found earlier. "Keep an eye out for any papers or things that don't belong. He mentioned he'd been trying to escape for a while, my guess is that he would have kept any hints or clues he found."

Servants Rooms
Day 3
Morning
Finnigan uses a pole arm to pop open the shades on the ceiling lights in this room, allowing Mac to douse his makeshift torch. The dwarf then searches the weapons, finding all of them to be normal, high quality items. Nothing jumps out at him as special.
Looking over the pile of trinkets, Sprig and Fin believe the entire lot to be worth at least several hundred gold pieces. Too bad gold wont get you off of this mysterious lost rock and back to civilization.
The room is searched again carefully, but nothing else is found. Mac looks around for a journal or a note from the dead thieves, he finds neither. The floor and walls of the rooms are scoured again to no avail. The only thing the group knows for certain is that the duo who lived here temporarily, most likely wont be coming back.
