Collace Homecoming
Re: Collace Homecoming
Frank moves up behind (and following) Klaus, covering him.
Re: Collace Homecoming
All
With due tactical diligence the immediate sweep continues and reveals no more hostiles in the corridors or vehicle tethered below the balcony. Working with Kit Freya clears the Penthouse and identifies the source and range of the jamming as on the Officers' floor below. As Jess has deduced the jammers are carried individually by the hostiles and once identied as such are easily switched off restoring all comms.
There appears to be the matter of a no doubt incandescently angry Aslan Warlord inbound but for now at least there is momentary peace.
Policing up the Accomodation reveals that the nine enemy are equipped with tech 14 gear, armour and comms. The integrally silenced weapons they used appear to have chemical payloads included within the HEAP rounds chambered. The only "longarms" recovered are a Snub SMG and a combat shotgun. It seems that while all had snub auto sidearms those without longarms preferred various types of blade weapons. The guy blown all over the roof of the grav submersible wore comm jacks consistent with vehicle interface and so was likely the vehicles "pilot/skipper". All attackers carry absolutely no identifying personal items or gear.
The attacker triaged by Jess and stabilised by T'lia is alive with treatable injuries. He is semi conscious.
Once peace is declared Prerna's housebloke and houseboy insistently offer the hospitality of tea and pastries.
Polly now wearing a wrap from her own wardrobe looks over the stacked gear and frowns "They moved so obviously in tasked pairs... but something went very wrong with their schedule".
Anyone throwing their hat into the ring for a spot of mystery solving gather everyone in the drawing room roll 2d6 +Int, +Tactics, +Recon, + Intrusion, +1 for Stealth/Commando background.

Freya isn't really into the tactical naval gazing, she polices up the electronics, stealth other electronic gear and gets Florence to see to it that the team give it a once-over and file it in the armoury.
Then suggests
Kit - I feel a post exercise beer is needed...preferably off site. Shall we check with the Colonel?

Jess carefully collects one of the fibre balls from beside a fallen agent. Showing it to Polly, she asks: Cat toy?
Re: Collace Homecoming
Polly seems somewhat reluctant to answer but then, given the circumstances, discloses "No, we use blowpipes for delivering... plant based weapons at close range but this does look like a fibrous plant seed. The dense seed gives the weight needed for accurate flight while the fibres carry the added powder".The Bindoner wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:08 pm Jess carefully collects one of the fibre balls from beside a fallen agent. Damn but his girlfriend looks fine in that wrap... something about maths...

Surely a "Success" on the roll - but you needed to "win big". Fortunately some folk "monstered" it!

Re: Collace Homecoming
Prerna goes to check her quarters, and then she keys her comm. "I found a live one here. Can someone come to my quarters with some restraints?"

As he moves forward Klaus realises the count is off, just as Prerna's voice comes over the comm.
He spins and rushes back to her quarters ready to restrain the would be assassin.
Sorry Ma'am, I missed this one as I swept the area

Re: Collace Homecoming
Once he has restrained the hostile Klaus will sling his rifle and take ownership of the Snub SMG and any ammo the assassin was carrying.

Re: Collace Homecoming
Klaus now owns a bespoke gunsmithed Instel Arms 10mm Snub SMG. It has Advanced IR/LI sights, an intergal suppressor and a folding/compressing stock (so could be carried in a shoulder rig and/or fired a la Sgt Rock). Three 40 rd mags of HEAP ammo come with plus a (loaded) 40 rd mag of what will be designated as (low velocity?) HEAP(S) where S could be for "Special"... or SuSAG... NB Do tell me if you ever shoot anyone with that sh1t.dongriffiths wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 2:26 pm Once he has restrained the hostile Klaus will sling his rifle and take ownership of the Snub SMG and any ammo the assassin was carrying.

This weapon should have a maker's mark, Imperial or District 268 proof mark and Serial ID/Production number stamped, etched and holo printed on the receiver (among other locations). It has none of the above.
With its standard ported "straight" mags this Snub SMG can "tank up" off regular 20 rd autosnub mags.
Military (Observation) Task (Diff: Obvious): If you are in looting mode there are at least nine autosnubs available for "liberation" each with 20 rds of HEAP(S)
Pen is 6 (defeats "soft" armour) at all ranges with the auto fire bonus being +4 at Effective range, +3 at Long range and +1 at Extreme ranges.
Klaus reckons he could rock "Tier One" (taking headshots at +4 To Hit) with this weapon...

Re: Collace Homecoming
Klaus and Prerna within/All at the Crossroads without
Klaus enters Prerna's quarters (tastefully if minimally decorated, more isfahan rugs on a stone floor, nice art). He sees Prerna has matters in hand with her sidearm drawn and the assassin painfully restrained by having his thumbs tied to his ankles. Klaus notes the man is missing a bootlace. His gear is neatly sorted and piled, actually almost obsessively "exhibited" on a distant dining table. He can't help but think she works almost impossibly/near improbably fast...
The SEMC cavalry troop (called into action from a work detail) still have their work gear and cable ties to secure the prisoner. Cpl Charlie is overheard stating "Well, alright then - but that counts as returned to stores!" Having apparently reacted to the news of a prisoner the Tartar ambles over to Jess' shoulder casually stating "У меня есть все инструменты, но мне понадобится автомобильный аккумулятор".
Now able to (barely) stand and stripped of all armour and gear the apparently rather concussed corporate assassin is propelled out of Prerna's room.
It seems that the hospitality of Prerna's house still extends to captives as during his exit the elderly house bloke approaches him. "Chai, Johnny? You are made welcome". The charmless assassin angrily rants "Fek you! My slick lawyer will have me out in no time. I'll fekking see you again old man-" "Invitation humbly accepted" "-I'll be back for everyone and you and the boy. Heh, you're "off ticket" so I'll take my time fekking you... both... up...". He stares down the lowly housebloke and then suddenly recoils in fear. The old fellah chuckles with the dryness of time "It is known that in the Imperial language capital letters seem much overlooked and are indeed often very easy to mispronounce".
The still fearful assassin rallies into the custody of his captors and now desperately reels off a memorised comm code demanding "Arrest me and call that number - I'm saying no more 'til I speak to my lawyer!"

Frank
When the man is removed from the room Frank looks at the man coldly.
"You're not being arrested and you'll get no lawyer. You're not the only ones who can play outside of the rules. Let's get him secured, strip him down to his underwear, full body search and I want scans to make sure he has no implants."

Re: Collace Homecoming
Klaus looks impressed with his new prize and continues collecting firearms and ammunition from the assailants.
Mumbling to himself Waste not want not, these will do as sidearms for my squad.
As he hears the tirade for the captive he glance towards him and smiles
Your best chance to still be breathing this time tomorrow is to make nice and tell us what we want to know.
